With Separate Heating Chamber Patents (Class 392/405)
  • Patent number: 5067169
Abstract: A humidifier includes a base defining a boiler cavity, a liquid supply being supported on the base and having a discharge opening communicating with the boiler cavity and adapted to maintain a given level of liquid therein. An evaporation unit is removably mounted on the base and includes an electrically energized heater projecting into the cavity and a magnetically operated switch. A float includes a magnet which activates or deactivates a switch. A vapor passage discharges the vapor from the cavity.

  • Patent number: 5054105
Abstract: An electric sauna heater comprising at least one electric resistor (10) for heating the sauna room and a steamer (1 to 9) for generating steam in the sauna room, the steamer comprising an evaporating space (4) and at least one electric resistor (9) for evaporating the water contained in the evaporating space (4). To achieve efficient evaporation without applying high capacities at the evaporating resistor, the sauna heater comprises a thermostat (5) which disconnects power from the water evaporating resistor (9) when opening the supply of water to the evaporating space (4) and connects power to the evaporating resistor (9) when closing the supply of water to the evaporating space (4).

  • Patent number: 5023926
Abstract: A steam generator (1) for steam baths, in particular steam cubicles, with a column-shaped housing (2) has an electrically heatable water bath (3) acted upon by air in operation, so that the air surrounding the housing (2) is sucked through a ventilator (4) into the housing (2) and recirculated through the housing (2) and through the water bath (3). The housing has a second inlet for insertion of a container holding additives.

  • Patent number: 5014338
Abstract: The components of an electric warm-air humidifier are enclosed in a housing. The components include an evaporation chamber in the shape of an inverted cup which has a steam outlet in its top and contains an electric heating element positioned at a short distance above its open bottom. The chamber bottom and the heating elements are immersed in water contained in the main compartment of an open, removable tray, having a smaller filling compartment communicating with the main compartment. The tray may be removed from the housing for cleaning. The neck of an inverted, removable jug filled with water is placed into the filling compartment, and water fills the tray until its level reaches the lower rim of the jug's neck. A blower is mounted above the evaporation chamber and delivers cool air through a duct which communicates with the evaporation chamber via its steam outlet, and humidified air is blown back into the room.

  • Patent number: 4998007
Abstract: A heating unit (1) for a medium reservoir (2) provided e.g. as a fryer has a sheet metal, U-shaped support (3) with a plurality of continuous flow heater tubes (4) fixed rigidly between its legs provided as flange plates (5, 6) and is in this way constructed as a closed, preassembled unit, which can be subsequently fixed as an entity to the walls (11, 12) of a container in such a way that they on the one hand project freely into the container and on the other hand their electrically conducting parts are accessible from the outside. Directly above the outlets (29) of the tubes of the said heating unit (1) distributed in grid-like manner can be provided a separately heated sensor system (31) with several temperature sensors.
