A point of interest is reflected by a reflective pane which in turn is reflected by a beam splitter, toward the subject of the photography, into an image area. Photography equipment is placed behind the beam splitter and image area. Reflection of the image at the point of interest into the image area results in focusing the attention of the photography subject to the location desired.

    Abstract: A modular still photography studio comprising a plurality of adjacent photography set frames is provided. The studio is an apparatus which provides for converting any space, such as a room into a multiple set photography studio. The photography set frames each include a pair of vertical legs and a connecting beam extending therebetween. A still photography set which includes various props and devices to create different environments or scenes may be created to correspond with each of the photography set frames so that a plurality of still photography sets may be positioned adjacent one another. A camera means can be positioned within the studio and may be directed a still photography set corresponding to any of the adjacent photography set frames and may thus capture the image of the still photography set corresponding to any photography set frames from within the studio.

    Abstract: An outdoor studio for moderating the effects of direct sunlight to be utilized in camera work comprising a screening apparatus, including at least one panel of a scrim material, a self-supporting frame including a plurality of interconnected frame sections for providing support to the screening apparatus, a means for stabilizing the frame and a means for attaching the edges of the scrim material panel to the frame. One embodiment of the inventive outdoor studio further comprises a platform, which may include interconnected modular platform sections, for supporting and mounting the frame. The frame itself may comprise a boxlike rectangularly shaped frame, an overarching quonset hut like structure, or any other appropriate frame structure. The scrim material which may he hung over and clamped onto and over the frame, or may be rolled out vertically and horizontally between uprights and eaves of the frame, can also be attached to the frame by strings or snaps.

    Abstract: Mini-studio equipment allows a person who does not have highly developed photography techniques to take pictures of consistent quality in a shortened period of time, and makes it possible to easily move the studio, thereby widening the area of use. The mini-studio equipment includes an upper box, a middle box, and a lower box. An upper light source is attached to an upper wall of the upper box, and a light diffusion plate is provided as a bottom wall of the upper box so as to diffuse light emitted by the upper light source. The middle box has an upper opening which is covered by the light diffusion plate of the upper box. A photography stage is provided as a bottom wall of the middle box so as to diffuse light from the lower side thereof. The photography stage has a curved portion and a backdrop portion covering a side wall of the middle box. A camera installing window is provided at a central portion of another side wall which is opposed to the side wall covered by the backdrop portion.

The acquisition element is connected to a central processing unit for storing the optical information thus received. A printing device is provided to take a photograph or a sequence of photographs upon command of the subject. A half-silvered mirror is mounted on the optical axis of the acquisition element and directed along the bisector of the angle defined by the respective optical axes of the acquisition element and the screen so as to generate a virtual image of the screen on the optical path of the acquisition element.

    Abstract: A methodology for handling photographic film in which a video image of each frame of film is acquired on a diskette as the frames are originally being processed in the photographic laboratory, the diskette is transmitted to the photographer's studio, along with the proof prints, for viewing by the photographer/subject, the photographer/subject makes further desired corrections or adjustments of each frame by viewing the video image of each frame on a computer monitor, the farther corrections or adjustments are recorded on the diskette for each frame, and the revised diskette is returned to the photographic laboratory where it is used in conjunction with the film to produce final photographic prints. The final photographic prints thus graphically and objectively reflect the precise desires of the photographer/subject.
