Viewfinder Light Compensation Patents (Class 396/232)
  • Patent number: 8872957
Abstract: There are provided: a half mirror provided in a finder device and transmitting an incident light image from a subject side and projecting the incident light image onto a photographer side finder view window side; a display panel provided in a position facing the half mirror in the finder device and displaying a taken image of the subject taken by an imaging device with given brightness so that the displayed taken image (EVF image) is reflected by the half mirror so as to be projected onto the photographer side finder view window side; and a display control portion changing brightness of the display image (EVF image) displayed on the display panel so that the brightness of the display image (EVF image) increases gradually to given brightness or the brightness of the display image (EVF image) further increases gradually from the given brightness.

  • Patent number: 7415203
Abstract: For controlling exposure in a camera, first and second brightness levels of first and second areas of a captured image are determined. First and second weight values for the first and second brightness levels are determined with an increase of the first weight value for a higher difference between the first and second brightness levels. Exposure control data is generated from the first and second weight values and the first and second brightness levels.

Abstract: A transparent display comprising first and second transparent substrates first and second transparent electrodes, a polymer dispersed liquid crystal layer, and first and second light sources, is provided. The first and second transparent electrodes are mounted on the inside surfaces of the first and second transparent substrates. The inside surfaces of the first and second transparent substrates face each other. The polymer dispersed liquid crystal layer fills the gap between the first and second transparent electrodes. The polymer dispersed liquid crystal layer comprises a polymer material and a liquid crystal. The first and second light sources emit first and second light in predetermined directions, respectively. The predetermined directions are decided so that the first and second light are reflected at an outside surface.

  • Patent number: 6178294
Abstract: A photographing unit for a microscope has a photometric detector to measure brightness of light from a sample and includes a changing member which changes a brightness of light toward an observation system and a control unit which controls the light based on a detection output of the photometric detector. In addition, the changing member can be controlled based on the presence of an observer. A shielding member can be provided that automatically shields an optical path of the observation system. An illumination system for an index on a reticle can be provided so that the illumination of the reticle can be performed or extinguished at desired times. Additionally, the color of light with which the index is illuminated may be made distinguishable from the color of light from a sample, and the contrast of the index to the sample can be controlled.
