  • Patent number: 8587715
Abstract: A sound pickup device is designed for an imaging apparatus including an objective lens and a camera casing. The sound pickup device includes first and second microphone holders fixed to the camera casing and each having an inner wall surface neighboring and facing a surface of the camera casing. First and second microphone units are held by the first and second microphone holders, respectively. The first and second microphone holders are located at left and right sides of the camera casing respectively while being separated from each other in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis of the objective lens. The aforesaid surface of the camera casing forms a sound reflecting surface which reflects incoming sound. Each of the first and second microphone units has a sound pickup surface facing the sound reflecting surface to pick up the sound reflected by the sound reflecting surface.

  • Patent number: 8248522
Abstract: A digital camera includes a bezel and an extending ring. The bezel defines a circular-shaped recess, and N pairs of support arms are positioned on the inner sidewall of the recess. The N is an integer equaling or exceeding 2. Each of the pairs of support arms has different height and the two support arms in each of the pairs of support arms are symmetrically placed with respect to a central axis of the recess. The extending ring defines N?1 pairs of bar-shaped slots. An end of the extending ring contacts an end surface of one of the N pairs of support arms, and the N?1 pairs of bar-shaped slots are positioned corresponding to the other N?1 of the N pairs of support arms.

Abstract: The present invention provides a digital camera in which the start-up time which is from when a power source is turned on until the digital camera is in a state in which photographing is possible is short. A DC motor and a stepping motor are driven simultaneously. A cord plate which is provided in advance at an outer circumferential surface of a rotating cylinder is detected. Then, the stepping motor is driven to move the focus lens by a movement amount corresponding to a detected range of the cord plate. When the setting of various types of components necessary for photographing other than the lens groups has finished, even if the zoom lens groups (forward lens group and backward lens group) are moving to their home positions, the digital camera is in a state in which photographing is possible.
