  • Patent number: 11003059
Abstract: A Dynograph device for smoothing videos being taken is presented. The Dynograph device is a motorized camera tripod which interfaces an attached video camera to allow for automatic subject tracing. Upon initial observation, it appears as a conventional camera tripod with three extendable and adjustable legs. However, after closer inspection, it can be seen that the Dynograph device also provides motorized pan and tilt head that adjust the position of the attached video camera. This control module, powered by an attached battery or external power supply, uses smart logic to lock onto the movable portion of a video signal emanating from the video camera, such as a human presenter. Thus, as the person moves about the frame, the Dynograph device automatically adjusts the position of the video camera to keep the person within the same relative position. This movement is fluid and steady yielding finished videos that are on par with the best of professional films.

Abstract: A lightweight camera crane has an outer arm pivotally attached to a base. A trim weight tray is rigidly attached to a back end of the outer arm. A moving counterweight carriage is supported on carriage rollers on top of the outer arm. An inner arm is supported on arm rollers within the outer arm. A camera platform is pivotally attached to a front end of the inner arm for tilt axis movement. An electric leveling motor connected to the camera platform via a mechanical linkage keeps the camera platform level regardless of the tilt angle of the camera crane. An electric extension motor drives telescoping extension and retraction movement of the inner arm via chains, belts or cables connected to the counterweight carriage and the inner arm.

Abstract: An adapter that optically couples a camera on a mobile device to an eye piece of an optical device. The adapter includes a base plate configured to retain the mobile device without obstructing a display screen on the mobile device. The base plate includes an optical interface configured to attach to the eye piece of the optical device. A mounting structure is configured to secure the optical interface to the eye piece of the optical device. The mounting structure includes a high friction interface that prevents rotation of the adapter relative to the eye piece. An adjustment system with threaded micro-adjust mechanisms is configured to move the base plate relative to the optical interface in at least two degrees of freedom to optically couple the camera on the mobile device with an optical axis of the eye piece. Images captured by the optical device are displayed on a viewing screen of the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 9298069
Abstract: A camera mounting assembly includes a base member or plate for holding a camera and a side member or plate. In an exemplary embodiment, lower slots on the base plate or side slots on the side plate are gripped by a vertical support's quick-release mechanism to mount the camera in a landscape or portrait orientation, respectively, the camera being generally centered and evenly balanced over the support in either case. The side member is detachably fastened to the base member, which modular construction permits separately timed purchase of the base member and side member as allowed by the user's budget and further permits breakdown of the assembly for ease of transport. The side member may be generally L-shaped with a lower arm length less than the side arm length, which also facilitates transport. Other components may be detachably added such as a hand grip facilitating freehand shooting with the camera.
