  • Patent number: 11089186
Abstract: An image pickup apparatus that is capable of efficiently dissipating heat generated in a sensor substrate or a control substrate. An image sensor is implemented on the sensor substrate. A first heat dissipation section has four faces approximately parallel to an optical axis of an image pickup optical system of a lens unit and is fixed to the lens unit so that the four faces will surround the optical system from four sides. The control substrate is thermally coupled with the first heat dissipation section. A second heat dissipation section is arranged at a side opposite to the optical system in an optical axis direction with respect to the sensor substrate and is fixed to the first heat dissipation section. A heat conduction member is arranged between the sensor substrate and the second heat dissipation section in the optical axis direction so as to contact the both.

  • Patent number: 6779933
Abstract: A light-quantity adjusting apparatus is disclosed, in which a light-blocking member and an optical filter can be driven with a single actuator, and which can be made compact. The light-quantity adjusting apparatus includes a light-blocking member that changes a quantity of light through an open/close operation within an optical path, an optical filter that can be inserted into and withdrawn from the optical path, independently from the light-blocking member, and a driving mechanism that has a single actuator as a driving source and that drives the light-blocking member and the optical filter. The driving mechanism drives the optical filter by operating the actuator further in an opening direction after the actuator has driven the light-blocking member into an open position, and operating the actuator further in a closing direction after the actuator has driven the light-blocking member into a closed position.

  • Patent number: 6733193
Abstract: A shutter device has a front blade which is biased by a spring to a closed position for closing an exposure aperture, and a rear blade biased by a spring to an open position for opening the exposure aperture. A shutter drive lever kicks the front blade and the rear blade successively while moving to one direction. As soon as the front blade opens the exposure aperture, the rear blade closes the exposure aperture. And while the rear blade is biased by the spring to return to the initial position before opening the exposure aperture, the front blade is biased by the spring to close the exposure aperture. When the front blade and the rear blade return to the initial position by the urge of the spring, the two blades return with partly overlapped each other.

  • Patent number: 6473217
Abstract: The space required in the vicinity of a shutter aperture can be reduced to achieve an overall reduction in size of a device by providing a diaphragm mechanism for covering the shutter aperture formed of a plurality of members cooperating with each other to cover the shutter aperture. By cooperation of a small-diaphragm plate having a diaphragm aperture formed therethrough smaller in diameter than the shutter aperture and an auxiliary plate, for example, a space reduction is facilitated. The small-diaphragm plate is pivotably mounted adjacent one side of the shutter aperture. The auxiliary plate has a shape that cooperates with the convex-arcuate portion to cover the shutter aperture. When the small-diaphragm plate and the auxiliary plate are driven by the diaphragm actuating member and moved to a first position covering the shutter aperture, the two plate cooperate to fully cover the shutter aperture.

  • Patent number: 5914750
Abstract: A shutter intended for use with a light-sensitive material. The shutter includes a light-blocking disk having a light-passing portion through which light can pass to reach a light-sensitive material. The disk is rotated to locate its light-passing portion in line with the light-sensitive material to allow light passing through the light-passing portion to advance towards the light-sensitive material. The shutter also includes a capping element which is moved between a light-blocking position and a non-light-blocking position relative to the light-sensitive material and the light-passing portion of the disk. A single sensor is used to detect a predetermined rotational position of the disk and in response thereto the capping element is moved from one of its light-blocking and non-light-blocking positions to the other.
