Having Light Source Or Optical Element Which Moves During Exposure Patents (Class 396/547)
  • Patent number: 11314096
Abstract: A system and method for performing Optical Coherence Tomography on a sample utilizes collimated, phase modulated beams of light in an interferometer. At least one of the beams of light utilized exists as an Airy beam for at least a portion of the procedure, obviating any deleterious impact caused by the Gaussian beam diffraction. The system may incorporate a light source, polarization beam splitter, delay line, non-polarization beam splitters, lenses, phase masks, waveplates, and mirrors, any or all of which may be controlled by a computing element.

  • Patent number: 6013400
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a luminescent screen structure 22 with a light-absorbing matrix 23, having a plurality of substantially equally sized openings therein, on an inner surface of a CRT faceplate panel 12. A color selection electrode 24 is spaced a distance, Q, from the inner surface. The method includes providing a first photoresist layer 50, whose solubility is altered when it is exposed to light, on the inner surface of the faceplate panel 12. The first photoresist layer 50 is exposed to light from two symmetrically located source positions +G and -G, relative to a central source position, 0. Then the more soluble regions 54 of the photoresist layer 50 are removed, overcoated with a light-absorbing material 58 and developed to remove the retained, less soluble regions 52 of the first photoresist layer with the light-absorbing material thereon. First guardbands 60 of light-absorbing material remain on the interior surface of the faceplate panel 12.

  • Patent number: 5758221
Abstract: An apparatus for exposing a color cathode ray tube includes a light source producing light for exposing parts of the color cathode ray tube during manufacture of the tube. A slit disposed near the light source permits adjustment of the size of an exposure pattern produced by light from the light source and passing through the slit. The light source is mounted on a support that is moved in each of two orthogonal directions. The support may be driven by a cam assembly. The apparatus produces a cathode ray tube including dots of phosphor producing particular colors in response to an incident electron beam, the dots having improved circularity and boundary definition. The apparatus can also be employed to produce a cathode ray tube with a linear stripe pattern by moving the light source in only one direction during the exposure process.

  • Patent number: 5671460
Abstract: In an exposing apparatus for forming a phosphor screen on the inner surface of a panel of a color cathode ray tube by exposure, a photosensitive layer is coated on the inner surface of the panel, and this panel is supported on a support table. Light rays that print a pattern corresponding to the apertures of a shadow mask are emitted from a light source unit, and the light rays are incident on a projection lens system, that guides the light rays to approximate the locus of an electron beam, through a correcting optical member. The light rays passing through the projection lens system are incident on the photosensitive layer through the apertures of the shadow mask. The correcting optical member has a light exit surface inclined with respect to its incident surface, and is rotated by a driving unit to rotate about the optical axis of the light rays, emitted from the light source unit toward the photosensitive layer, as the central axis.

  • Patent number: 5570145
Abstract: An exposure apparatus for exposing a resist film coated on the inner surface of a face panel in a color cathode-ray tube through a shadow mask with a number of apertures apparatus comprises an exposure light source having an optical axis coaxial with an axis of the face panel, for radiating a light beam onto the inner surface of the face panel through the shadow mask. A discontinuous lens is arranged between the exposure light source and the shadow mask to be rotatable about the optical axis. The discontinuous lens has first and second regions arranged adjacent to one another in the direction of rotation of the discontinuous lens. A light beam from the exposure light source is guided by means of the first and second regions to the shadow mask along different paths. The lens is rotated by a drive motor so that the light beam from the light source passes through each of the apertures along two different paths.
