Having Clutch, Speed Detail, Or Variable Processing Time Patents (Class 396/616)
  • Patent number: 6974267
Abstract: A photographic paper processor includes plural serially arranged liquid baths, for sequentially processing a first photographic paper sheet of one type. The plural liquid baths are constituted by bath groups G1 and G2. The bath group G1 includes a color developing bath. The bath group G2 is positioned downstream from the bath group G1, and includes rinsing baths. First and second motors are operable individually, and rotate to transport the first paper sheet through respectively the bath groups G1 and G2 at a speed V1. A controller sets the bath group G1 at a speed V2 according to information of a second photographic paper sheet of a different type for processing next to the first paper sheet. Subsequently, the bath group G2 is set at the speed V2, to transport the second paper sheet through the plural liquid baths at the speed V2.

  • Patent number: 6287024
Abstract: Temperature control of heaters 8a and 8b for heating a printing original plate 2 is performed with an atmosphere temperature sensor 11, etc., and stably generated heat is shielded by controlling the rotation angles of reflecting plates 9a and 9b. The leading end of the printing original plate 2 is detected by a position detection sensor 26 and the transport speed of the printing original plate 2 is controlled. As the trailing end of the printing original plate 2 is detected, the rotation angles of the reflecting plates 9a and 9b are controlled and the heating amount is controlled in response to the parts of the printing original plate 2. Accordingly, it is possibly to heat the whole printing original plate while preventing uneven heating, when the printing original plate is heated and transported.

  • Patent number: 5826127
Abstract: Photographic processing apparatus in which both exposing and processing stages of a photographic process are combined to form a single unit or linked so that a continuous web of photographic film or paper is used in both units at the same time is known. However, due to differences in speed of the exposing and processing stages, there is a need to store a "buffer" length of the material being processed between the two stages. Described herein is a method of varying the speed of the processing stage of photographic processing apparatus to compensate for changes in the capacity of a processor while maintaining a constant path length. This achieved by changing its activity of one of the steps in the processing stage, for instance, by changing the temperature of the development step. This is feasible without unacceptable time delays or energy or chemical consumption associated with changing the solution activity by the use of low volume tanks with low capacity.

  • Patent number: 5765070
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for processing light-sensitive materials for efficiently processing a plurality of light-sensitive materials of different processing times are disclosed. A pair of movable guides and a pair of variable guide members are provided to feed a film for standard processing into a bleach-fixing bath after passing a first coloring development bath, and a film for rapid processing into the bleach-fixing bath after passing a second coloring development bath. Each processing bath and a drying section are variable in speed. In the case where the film for standard processing is processed in advance of the film for rapid processing, the processing rate of a predetermined processing bath is changed to suit the film for rapid processing after the trailing end of the film for standard processing passes through the particular processing bath along the direction in which the films are fed.
