Abstract: An image forming apparatus has a power supply circuit including a power circuit, a main circuit, and a sub-circuit. The sub-circuit includes a timer that performs electrical conduction of a driving contact point of a heater by a first setting time and performs electrical conduction of a driving contact point of a discharge fan by a second setting time when a power switch is turned off. When it is determined that humidity in an image forming apparatus body detected by a humidity detection sensor is equal to or more than a threshold value, the first setting time is set to 0 and the second setting time is set to a predetermined time larger than 0. When it is determined that the humidity is less than the threshold value, the first setting time is set to a predetermined time larger than 0 and the second setting time is set to 0.

Abstract: A toner cartridge according to one example embodiment includes a housing having a toner reservoir. An outlet port faces downward on a front of the housing near a first side of the housing. A shutter is movable between a closed position blocking the outlet port and an open position unblocking the outlet port. A flag on the first side of the housing is movable between a first position and a second position. The flag extends outward sideways from the first side when the flag is in the second position. The flag is operatively connected to the shutter such that when the shutter moves from the closed position to the open position the flag moves from the first position to the second position to change a state of a sensor in the image forming device when the toner cartridge is installed in the image forming device.

Abstract: An imaging unit for an electrophotographic image forming device having positional control features for aligning the imaging unit in a supporting frame in the image forming device. The positional control features include on each end wall, first and second bullet noses and a stop arm positioned between the two bullet noses. The first and second bullet noses engage support or datum surfaces provided in corresponding openings in the frame. The stop arm receives a biasing force that rotates the imaging unit into its final operating position. A latching assembly is provided on one end wall to prevent the imaging unit from ejecting from the frame.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus to which a cartridge including first and second cartridge contacts is detachably mountable, includes: a guiding member for guiding the cartridge to a positioning portion provided in a main assembly of the image forming apparatus; a first main assembly contact contactable to the first cartridge contact when the cartridge is positioned partway toward the positioning portion and is positioned in the positioning portion; a second main assembly contact contactable to the second cartridge contact when the cartridge is positioned partway toward the positioning portion; a third main assembly contact contactable to the second cartridge contact only when the cartridge is positioned in the positioning portion; and a control portion for detecting presence or absence of the cartridge in the main assembly and a mounted state of the cartridge by being electrically connected with the first, second and third main assembly contacts.

If the container T is detected to be mounted on the mounting unit, control of the driving unit is not carried out based on the rotation information until replenishment information satisfies a predetermined condition.
