  • Patent number: 7969607
Abstract: The invention provides a print control apparatus, a print control method, and a print control program, in which in the case of Z-folding a sheet which has been print-outputted by using an N-up function for allocating a plurality of logic pages onto one sheet, it is possible to make layout adjustment such that the logic pages printed onto the output sheet in the Z-folding state can be easily confirmed, and also provides a memory medium in which such a program has been stored. For this purpose, layout designation to designate a mode to print the plurality of logic pages onto one of print surfaces of the sheet which is outputted by a printing apparatus is made. Further, when the sheet is Z-folded, the layout of the plurality of logic pages is adjusted so that the whole area of at least one logic page is displayed onto an exposing surface of the Z-folded sheet.

  • Publication number: 20010013888
Abstract: An object is to provide an LED printer head in structure capable of reducing influence of a sub emission band by use of a rode lens array and thus prevent light of the sub emission band from reaching a development level, thereby achieving high quality to the contrary. The LED printer head consists of an LED array of LEDs to emit light according to an image signal, which are arrayed at the resolution pitch P of not less than 600 dpi, and a multi-lens array for forming an emission image of the LED array on a photosensitive body. Each of the LEDs of the LED array has a main emission band of an emission spectrum and another sub emission band having a peak level of not less than 0.01 as a photosensitive intensity ratio R to the main emission spectrum, and a difference D between best TCs at peak wavelengths of the main and sub emission bands by the multi-lens array is at least 0.15.

  • Patent number: 6256468
Abstract: An imaging system for effecting electrostatic printing of an image, wherein the imaging system includes at least one contact electrostatic printing engine operable in a novel fashion upon a copy substrate, for imaging and development of a latent image representative of the image, and subsequent transfer of the developed image to the copy substrate. The developed image is created by separating and selectively transferring portions of a high solids content toner cake layer in correspondence with the image and non-image regions of the latent image. A toner cake layer delivery apparatus draws from a supply of low solids content liquid developing material to apply a layer of the liquid developing material onto a carrier fluid separation (CFS) surface of a coating member. Rapid migration of the carrier fluid into the CFS surface causes a substantial reduction of the ratio of carrier fluid to toner solids, thus providing the desired high solids content toner cake layer.

  • Patent number: 5966570
Abstract: An image development method and apparatus, wherein a support member is provided with a layer of marking material thereon, and an electrostatic latent image is created in the layer of marking material via image-wise charging of the layer of marking material. A selectively controllable charging device for directing a charge stream toward the support member having the layer of marking material coated thereon. The image-wise charge stream corresponds to the latent image, which, in turn, leads to image-wise charging of the toner layer, such that the toner layer itself becomes the latent image carrier. The latent image carrying toner layer is subsequently developed and transferred to a copy substrate to produce an output document.

  • Patent number: 5937243
Abstract: A novel image development method and apparatus are disclosed, whereby image-wise charging of a toner layer is accomplished by induce air breakdown electrical discharge such that free mobile ions are introduced in the vicinity of an electrostatic latent image coated with a layer of developing material. The latent image causes the free mobile ions to flow in an image-wise ion stream corresponding to the latent image, which, in turn, leads to image-wise charging of the toner layer, such that the toner layer itself becomes the latent image carrier. The latent image carrying toner layer is subsequently developed and transferred to a copy substrate to produce an output document.
