Abstract: A method and apparatus for drawing a frame about one or more of a plurality of image portions is provided. Preferably, both dimensions relating to the image portions and a set of rules controlling a manner in which a frame is to be drawn about at least one of the image portions are stored in memory. Additionally, at least one of the plurality of image portions is designated for framing. A processor uses the dimensions, in conjunction with the rules, to draw the frame about the designated image portion and thereby obtain an optimal appearance between the frame and the image portions.
