Abstract: Transparency media adapter and methods of using the same. Implementations of a system may comprise an imaging device having a light source and at least one sensor. A media adapter operatively associated with the imaging device includes a first reflective surface and a second reflective surface arranged to shift light emitted by the light source to a predetermined focus point of the at least one sensor during an imaging operation.

Abstract: In an image forming apparatus of the present invention capable of forming a full-color image by superposing a black toner image formed by a black image forming unit using a developing and simultaneous cleaning type developing unit over color toner images obtained by color image forming units using developing and simultaneous cleaning developing units arranged in tandem, adhered toners generated from the black image forming unit or the color image forming units to be recovered are all recovered by a same single cleaner.
Abstract: A developer layer thickness regulating device for a developing unit improves the sealing effect of a developer by regulating a thickness of a developer layer formed on a developing roller. The device includes a blade having a blade body that is in resilient contact with the developing roller. A bent part is formed on the blade body and extends at a predetermined angle from a developing roller contact part that is in contact with the developing roller, and a recessed part formed on the bent part. A sealing member is in contact with the blade. The sealing member overlaps with the recessed part.
Abstract: An optical scanner that may assemble the lens design for varying the focus and resolution, having a light source, a reflection compound mirror, a charge coupled device, a basic objective lens and a compound lens. The basic objective lens is designed by simulation software. According to the lens design theory, the compound lens is designed. By incorporating the basic objective lens and the compound lens, different resolutions such as 1200 dpi, 1600 dpi and 2400 dpi of the optical scanner are obtained without redesigning the lens device, the current specification of the optical scanner is also varied.
Abstract: An image formation apparatus that loads a sheaf of originals obtained by stacking a sheaf of the originals to be copied and a sheaf of originals for front and reverse cover sheets, feeds the originals one by one from the loaded sheaf, reads the fed original and stores a read original image, reading the original images of four pages form the storage and forms the images of two pages on each of front and reverse faces of a sheet. Controlling the reading such that the original image for the cover sheet is formed on the sheet different from the sheet not for the cover sheet and such that plural sheets on which the images have been respectively formed are folded in two while being stacked.
