  • Patent number: 7711292
Abstract: A toner cartridge includes a container main body includes a toner outlet, a shutter mechanism for opening and closing the toner outlet, a lever for operating the shutter mechanism, a lever locking mechanism, a lock releasing mechanism, and a prevention mechanism. The lever locking mechanism locks the lever so as to be inoperative while the toner outlet is closed. The lock releasing mechanism unlocks the lever locked by the lever locking mechanism in conjunction with installment of the container main body into the image forming device. The prevention mechanism prevents the container main body from being taken out of the image forming device while the container main body is installed in the image forming device, and the lever operates to open the toner outlet.

Abstract: A toner carrying device includes a flexible sheet, and a sheet moving mechanism for allowing the flexible sheet to move back and forth by pulling the flexible sheet. In the flexible sheet, a toner passage hole for leaving a first opening section of a toner carrying pipe to open is provided. In a case where the toner passage hole is divided into first through three areas in such a manner that (i) the first area is provided on a side of one end of the flexible sheet in a direction orthogonal to a moving direction of the flexible sheet; (ii) the second area is provided on a side of the other end of the flexible sheet in the direction orthogonal to the moving direction; and (iii) the third area is provided between the first area and the second area, the third area extends broader in the moving direction than respective of the first and second areas. This allows the flexible sheet partially having the toner passage hole in its area to move smoothly.

Abstract: Gap among a leaf spring member of a layer-thickness regulating blade, a back-side member of a blade holder and a blade opposed portion of an upper seal is filled with grease. An internal seal is disposed laterally inward of the grease with a portion thereof sandwiched between the back surface of the leaf spring member and the blade opposed portion of the upper seal. This can prevent the grease from overflowing laterally inward from the gap among the back-side member, the leaf spring member and the upper seal, and can also prevent a toner from entering into a gap among the back-side member, the leaf spring member and the upper seal, thereby preventing the oil content of the grease from mixing into the toner.
