    Abstract: A method of developing an electrostatic latent image on a rotating image-bearing member with a magnetic developer in which a developing roll consist of only a permanent magnet member and the peripheral speed of the developing roll is regulated to be nearly equal to the moving speed of an image-bearing member. With such a construction, an electrophotographic recording apparatus can be miniaturized while producing an image of high quality.
