  • Patent number: 8264844
Abstract: A conductive chassis plate faces a printed circuit board at a distance. One end of the conductive chassis plate is aligned with one end of the printed circuit board. One end of the conductive chassis plate is electrically connected to a ground wiring pattern provided on one end of the printed circuit board. One end of the conductive chassis plate is electrically connected to a conductive member that extends from one end of the conductive chassis plate toward the other end. As a result, in transmitting or receiving a signal with respect to external equipment attached to a connector, an influence of electrostatic discharge is reduced with a simple configuration.

  • Patent number: 7652786
Abstract: An optical scanning device 65 is adapted to bring a deflector mirror plane 651 into independent pivotal motions about a first axis and a second axis perpendicular to each other. A mirror driver section including a first axis driver and a second axis driver is so controlled as to bring the deflector mirror plane 651 into pivotal motion about the first axis thereby deflecting a light beam L for scanning along a main scan direction. On the other hand, the deflector mirror plane 651 is pivotally moved about the second axis thereby to adjust the scanned beam L for its position on a photosensitive member 2 with respect to a subscan direction. Thus, even if the scanned beam is deviated from a reference scan position with respect to the subscan direction due to component tolerances or assembly errors, such a deviation can be corrected.

  • Patent number: 7546060
Abstract: In this invention, the charging units are in the separate construction for the main chargers and for the ozone ducts. When installing the process units, the ozone ducts are placed on the elastic sheets of the duct cases that are fixed to the main frame. The process units are slid while slanting the ozone ducts to the duct cases by the main chargers against the bias force of the elastic sheets. Fluctuation in manufacturing accuracy is absorbed by the elastic sheets and the maintenance efficiency when installing/removing the process units is improved by sliding the process units smoothly. Further, the charging units are supported certainly by the main frame.

  • Patent number: 7342596
Abstract: A system for printing is described. The system uses at least one cantilever, and more typically a plurality of cantilever to transfer charge, either to or from a dielectric surface. The resulting charge distribution represents an image. Toner deposited over the dielectric surface is attracted to the charged portions of the dielectric. Thus the toner also forms the image. The toner image is then transferred and affixed to a printing surface.
