  • Patent number: 7216376
Abstract: The present invention comprises a disposable hygiene device with a toilet seat with a top and bottom surfaces, where the toilet seat folds for storage before or after use. A receptacle is attached to the bottom surface of the toilet seat. After use, an adhesive on the top surface of the toilet seat is exposed by the removal of a protective layer. The toilet seat may then be folded onto itself to seal the hygiene device for easy disposal. The toilet seat may also include handles or an extension to ease proper orientation and use of the disposable hygiene device. The present invention also includes hygiene stations, preferably portable, that may be used with the disposable hygiene device, hygiene stations that include rotatable, extendable and height adjustable bathroom fixtures, and hygiene stations have a common connection point for inputs and outputs.

  • Patent number: 6353941
Abstract: The child's light weight portable toilet seat is designed to be used on top of a standard, commercial adult toilet seat and to provide a safe, stable, ergonomic seating area. The seat is slim, small and light enough to be carried by a child of toilet-training age. It has also been test fitted and may be used on many types of adult toilet seats, including those used in airplanes and boats, for true portability. The seat is molded from a single piece of plastic and has a formed bottom surface which is free of ribs and edges that could catch dirt. The lack of hinges or folds in the seat precludes pinching of the child's skin and reduces potential structural weakness. The absence of cleats or clips makes installation easy for either child or adult. The lack of ribs and edges on the bottom makes the seat more sanitary than existing seats. The seat fits over the front portion of the adult seat rather than being centered over the bowl and, thus, is a more ergonomic seating position for a child.

  • Patent number: 5749104
Abstract: A toilet seat assembly having a pivotal toilet seat and a pivotal toilet seat insert to overlie rear and side portions of the opening thereof to facilitate safe and effective use by children. A seat insert body defines an outer peripheral recess and a support shoulder for supported and positioned engagement with the inner peripheral portion of the toilet seat. The pivotal connection of the seat insert is separable when the seat insert is at a predetermined angle between its seated and upstanding positions. The tail piece and pivot connections of the seat insert provide a stop to position the seat insert at an over-center position when upstanding to prevent contact of the seat insert with the seat cover of the toilet seat assembly. The forward side edge portions of the seat insert body define outwardly facing angulated surfaces which locate the frontal contact points of the insert and the conventional toilet seat to minimize the possibility of pinching the child during use.

  • Patent number: 5685023
Abstract: A child commode seat is to be used in combination with a conventional toilet seat that is to decrease the dimension of the opening within the conventional toilet seat that is to be of a size to permit usage by children. The child commode seat comprises an annular ring shaped member to which is integrally secured and protrudes laterally therefrom a thin, narrow strip of a plastic material. This thin, narrow strip is to be bent over in a deflect configuration with the outer end of the strip to be located directly adjacent the undersurface of the seat. An adhesive pad is to secure the outer end to the undersurface. A biasing action is created by the thin, narrow strip that is not sufficient to lift the annular ring shaped member from the seat, but is sufficient to hold the annular ring shaped member in an upright position when it is manually moved to the upright position which is located substantially ninety degrees from the position directly adjacent the seat.

  • Patent number: 5619757
Abstract: A disposable, inflatable, sanitary toilet seat cover which both prevents contact of a person with the surface of the seat and creates a restricted seat opening for use by a small child. A pair of preshaped vinyl or plastic layered sheets form a top and a bottom layer, secured to one another by welds, which welds are permanent and air-tight, to form an inflatable, generally U-shaped cover adapted in size and dimension to seat on the upper surface and over edges of a standard hard toilet seat. The top layer is preformed and dimensioned to be slightly larger in surface area than the bottom layer. Upon inflation, this added surface area results in a greater curvature of the upper surface of the cover than its lower surface with resultant bulging. A series of approximately parallel, spaced welds extend generally perpendicularly from near the peripheral weld across the width of the cover, whereby the top layer and the bottom layers are bonded to one another on their interior surfaces.

  • Patent number: 5608921
Abstract: A child's toilet seat assembly includes a mount which is attachable to the toilet bowl of a common adult-sized toilet and a child's seat body which is securable to the mount in a snap-fit relationship therewith. The mount includes a base having wing sections which are securable to the bowl with bolts used to secure the adult-sized seat atop the upper rim of the toilet bowl and rounded portions which are maintained in an elevated condition above the base. The child's seat includes a body having portions which cooperate with the rounded portions of the mount to permit the body of the child's seat to be interfitted with the mount in a snap-fit relationship therewith. When joined together, the body of the child's seat can be pivoted between raised and lowered positions without interfering with the movement of or the use of the adult-sized seat.
