Including Means To Relieve Trapped Air Patents (Class 4/369)
  • Patent number: 9009877
Abstract: Air suction device for a flush toilet configured to suction air from a toilet drain duct having a suction chamber dividing a tank body interior, a float in the suction chamber and an on-off valve closing an air inlet when the float lifts to prevent air flow from the toilet drain duct side into the suction chamber. The air inlet is higher than the water level in a toilet flushing standby mode. The on-off valve opens the air inlet to allow air flow form the drain duct side in the suction chamber when flush water in the tank drops such that the float is lowered form the raised position. An embodiment includes a valve chest, a float and attracting member for on-off valve manipulation. Another embodiment includes a valve chest with a small air flow manipulation hole.

  • Patent number: 5706529
Abstract: A water closet having a trap drainage exit in a wall above a floor, in which at the time of flushing, a vent space is partitioned in a wall-like manner by water falling from a weir. A rise in the water level of a sump portion of the trap results, and air within the trap is quickly forced toward the drainage exit side by the force of the water flow to cause the interior of the trap drainage to have a decreased pressure so that siphon action easily occurs. When the feed rate of water from a tank slows, to terminate the siphon action, air is promptly introduced into the siphon area from a notch in a partitioning wall, whereby the air introduction is hastened and the siphon effect is terminated quickly.

  • Patent number: 5274855
Abstract: A siphon flush mechanism is provided for a conventional commode water storage tank in which a siphon metering valve is utilized to control the level of water contained within the flush mechanism. An arcuate flexible connector tube is lifted by the action of an external handle thereby providing fluid communication between two inverted U-shaped traps in the flush mechanism to actuate the flushing cycle.

  • Patent number: 4965892
Abstract: A syphonic flush toilet having a conventional water tank having a drain outlet in its bottom wall. The tank has a lid having a plunger aperture therein. A syphon assembly formed of a floating top housing member and a stationary bottom housing member are located in the tank. The floating top housing member has a top wall having a downwardly extending annular outer side wall and the bottom housing member has a bottom wall having an upwardly extending annular outside wall. The annular outer side wall and the annular outside wall of the respective members are matingly telescopically connected to each other about a vertical axis. An air chamber is formed in the floating top housing member. A discharge pipe has its bottom end passing through the bottom wall of the bottom housing member and its lower end is secured in the drain outlet of the tank. The top end of the discharge pipe extends upwardly into the interior of the neck portion of the floating top housing member.

  • Patent number: 4254934
Abstract: Hydraulic syphon with automatic reflux, working in tanks disposed at whichever height from the discharge point, particularly for the discharge of the tanks for the flushing of water closets. Two cylindrical tubular elements are disposed, in a position reciprocally inverted with respect to each other, into two other cylindrical tubular elements in such a way as to form annular communicating cavities, which in the syphon's resting position are filled with liquid and gas under pressure. It is thereby obtained an equilibrium between the outer hydrostatic pressure and that inside the syphon.Bell shaped floating means are solid with one of the cylindrical tubular elements, which are however all solid with each other and, through these, with sealing means made of elastic material, which take care of the closing and respectively opening of the tanks.

  • Patent number: 4152794
Abstract: This invention discloses an improvement in the flush-toilet at which the water will flush out automatically into the basin at the period of time after somebody uses it. By means of two pumps installed at different levels and a connector to contain a magnet, a lever will be controlled to activate another pump to jet air into a water tank. This action opens a water conduit in the tank and the water is permitted to flush into the basin. Also the compressed air in the water tank presses strongly the water to flow into the conduit. The time in delaying the drainage of water to flush into the basin depends on the speed of the magnet moving in the connector, and the length and the inclination of that connector. The magnet is drawn upward in the connector when the lower pump is activated by the weight of somebody upon the seating circle. After the utilizer leaves the flush-toilet, the magnet moves back to its primary location to attract a lever.
