Abstract: A waterless toilet for use with containers that accommodate the waste and can be sealed tight. A seat has n depressions, each accommodating one container, whereby n is at least and preferably 4. The seat can be rotated at increments of 360/n.degree. around a vertical axis so that the depressions assume in sequence: (1) a first position at which are disposed a magazine that accommodates a supply of unused containers and a mechanism for distributing the individual containers, (2) second position at which the toilet can be used, (3) a third position at which are disposed a magazine that accommodates a supply of lids for sealing the used containers and a mechanism for distributing the individual lids, and (4) a fourth position at which is disposed a robotic arm for removing each container, once a lid has been placed over the used container, extracting the closed container and forwarding it to a depot.
Abstract: An invalid bed has a bedstead, a mattress support mounted on the bedstead, a mattress placed on the mattress support, a bedpan movable between a horizontal position and a tilted position, a rotary table pivoted to the bedstead, a number of containers mounted on the rotary table, a rotation device for rotating the rotary table, and a sealing device for sealing the opening of the container.
Abstract: A novel lifting and carriage apparatus to lift, support, and move heavy objects about in close or crowded environments is provided with a cantilevered arm support means to support the object, a means for rotating the arm and a means to lift and lower the arm. The rotation and lifting functions may be accomplished by motorized means. The apparatus is attachable to a floor mounted base plate and may be easily removed and secured to another base plate.
Abstract: The present invention entails a hand-held urine receiver that is constructed in the general form of a reservoir and is communicatively connected to a flexible hose. The flexible hose extends from the urine receiver and is communicatively connected to a drain line that forms a part of the plumbing network of a residential structure. In order to adapt the urine receiver of the present invention for female use, there is provided a vaginal insert.
