Abstract: An external voiding apparatus includes an oval/canoe shaped receiver cup, with an outlet at one end of the receiver cup, a check valve assembly, and a valve seat attached to the receiver. The receiver cup has open top and gradually sloping, walls that converge at the outlet adjacent a lower area of the cup. The valve assembly is disposed between the receiver cup on the valve seat in the reservoir. The cheek valve may comprise a valve body with an aperture covered downstream by an easily deflectable membrane, or a flat tube type valve. The fluid coupling assembly includes a coupling from the reservoir for a tube. A fluid collection container (e.g. a Foley bag) may be fluidly coupled to the drain tube connected to the reservoir drain. The gasket and receiver cup may include a phosphorescent polymer to provide a glow in the dark effect, a handle attached to the receiver cup and a removable cover.

Abstract: A lavatory pan device for separating stool and urine includes a stool and urine tray, a supporting device, and a moment force producing device. The stool and urine tray consists of a flat plate and the rib inclining upward and extending outward from the whole or partial edge of the flat plate. The lavatory pan has an opening or an entry way at the longitudinal side and is connected on the supporting device. Through the moment force produced by the prescribed moment force producing device, the stool and urine tray can roll over on the supporting device. The described moment force producing device is set on the stool and urine tray and it is between tow supports of the above supporting device and the opening or entry way.

Abstract: A portable toilet (12) is provided having a bowl (14), a seat (16), legs (20), and wheels (28) mounted to the legs (20). The legs (20) are spaced apart and telescopically extensible to allow positioning of the bowl (14) above a conventional building toilet (60). The bowl (14) has a lower end (48) defined by sections (50) which pivot to open the bowl (14) and allow the contents to spill therefrom into the conventional toilet (60). A liner (34) fits in the bowl (14) and is held in place by the seat (16). The bowl (14) is placed over the conventional building toilet (60), the lower end (48) of the bowl is opened, the seat (16) is raised, and then the liner (34) and its contents fall through the open lower end (48) of the bowl (14) and into the conventional toilet (60).

Abstract: A portable waste disposal apparatus includes a stand for receiving a portable bowl and a waste container. The portable bowl includes a receiving port and a disposal port. A disposal port cover permits waste to pass when the cover is in an open position. Waste is prevented from passing through the disposal port when the cover is in a closed position. Actuation of the disposal port cover is independent of pressure within the portable bowl (e.g., due to waste, water, or purging fluid). In various embodiments, the cover slides or pivots between the open and closed positions. A method of disposing of waste includes the step of receiving waste into the portable bowl through the receiving port. The portable bowl is positioned to receive toilet purging fluid through the receiving port when placed within a toilet. The toilet is flushed to discharge the received purging fluid and waste through the disposal port of the portable bowl.

Abstract: A system for the removal of waste from dry toilet bowls (10) and other containers adapted to have a disposable liner sheet (12) comprising an apparatus (16, 18, 20, 36) for forming elastic wads (32) from lengths of liner sheet (12) containing waste and for inserting the wads through a port (28) into a pipe (34), and an arrangement (38) for introducing air pressure into the pipe near the port to propel the wads along the pipe toward the exit (40).

Abstract: A self-contained toilet that does not require water for operation and does not require chemicals for operation including a toilet bowl enclosure that is cleaned by compressed air pressure and provides for human waste to be forced down into a heat and grinding chamber that becomes closed off by a sliding door. The air pressure comes from an internal compressor and air tank which not only cleans the toilet bowl but is also used for forcing ventilation of odor and humidity while the evaporation and dehydration process is taking place and is further used to blow the dehydrated powder waste into a bag or holding area. The dehydration process can operate from one person while the toilet is being used by another; further the dehydration process can be interrupted repeatedly with other deposits of human waste and then resume operation until fully dehydrated. A humidity sensor is used to identify completion of the dehydration process which opens the valve to the powdered waste bag or containment area.

Abstract: A waste disposal apparatus in which a container main body includes an introduction opening at a top wall portion of the container main body and a discharge opening at a bottom wall portion of the container main body. A cylindrical body having an exit portion is disposed within the container main body and is formed of an elastic material. An exit portion opening/closing device selectively holds the exit portion between a closed state, in which an exit portion of the cylindrical body is pressed and sealed, and an opened state, in which the exit portion of the cylindrical body is opened and the waste accumulated within the cylindrical body is discharged. The exit portion opening/closing device includes exit portion protruding device which, at the time of dumping of the waste, protrudes the exit portion of the cylindrical body to below the bottom wall portion of the container main body and through the discharge opening thereof.

Abstract: A dry type toilet system which includes a toilet bowl, the toilet bowl having a hinged clamping ring adapted for clamping on a rim thereof to hold a poly bag therein in an open status for collecting waste matter discharged from a person sitting on the toilet bowl, permitting used poly bag with collected waste matter to fall out of the toilet bowl through a bottom passage way in the toilet bowl, a crushing and separating unit controlled to crush waste poly bag with collected waste matter and to separate wastewater from solid waste matter, a filter tank adapted to filter waste water delivered from the crushing and separating unit, and a storage unit adapted to collect and dry solid waste matter delivered from the crushing and separating unit.

Abstract: A toilet seat for composting toilets, which toilet seat comprises a seat ring, a bowl space, a bottom hole of the bowl space, and a separator of liquids such as washing water and urine. The toilet seat is implemented by adapting the inside surface of the front part of the bowl space to be at its upper part essentially vertical, at its middle part almost horizontal, and at its lower part convexly curved so that the center part of the curved area is closer to the rear part of the bowl space than the start and end points of the convexly shaped lower part, whereby liquids entering the front part of the bowl space in the toilet seat are conducted along the inside surface of the front part into a separate liquids collection container, or alternatively, to a treatment process, and that the liquids separator is formed by a shutter adapted to the lower part of the bowl space or below it.

Abstract: A lavatory has a lavatory bowl having an upper side on which a seat edge is provided and a lower side on which a base connection is provided, a dispenser for excrement bags that can be removed individually from the dispenser and secured to the seat edge with the aid of a vacuum, and a vacuum line that enters the lavatory bowl and a suction line. The dispenser has a receptacle for a stack of excrement bags that lie flat one on top of the other. The seat edge is provided with suction holes that can be connected to the suction line. The seat edge and the dispenser are moveable relative to each other and can be brought into a relative position in which the seat edge and the flat-lying excrement bags are parallel to one another, whereby the foremost of the excrement bags can be sucked out of the dispenser by negative pressure in the suction line.

Abstract: Apparatus and method for integrated passenger seat and toilet for vehicles. The apparatus includes a structural seat, an integrated toilet, a water supply, a waste system and a swivel mechanism. The method includes modifying the vehicle, supplying the apparatus, installing the apparatus and using the apparatus. The passenger seat rotates to lockable positions for use in multiple orientations. Segmented seat cushion is hingeably attached to structural seat members and molded to provide a seal with the toilet seat below. Water is pumped from a reservoir through a flexible hose to a ported water rinse ring in the toilet. Wastes are released through a flapper mechanism into a holding tank sanitarily sealed to the toilet. Privacy curtain is provided.

Abstract: A wheelchair seat for placement in a foldable wheelchair frame in which a rigid, substantially flat seat base operable to be received by a wheelchair frame has an elongated opening coaxial with the major axis of the perineum of a person when normally seated on the seat base and of such minimal dimensions as to permit the normally free passage of excretions through the opening without detracting from the support provided by the seat base; an elongated arm member pivotably mounted on the underside of the seat base for rotation about an axis perpendicular to its major plane; an elongated gate of a length and a width sufficient to occlude the opening, a gate stop disposed on the bottom of the seat base; and a removable waste receptacle support disposed on the seat base beneath the opening.

Abstract: A portable toilet having an improved valve arrangement for minimizing abrasion of the holding tank inlet seal. The valve arrangement includes a valve member which moves generally normal to a sealing plane defined by the seal when the valve is opened or closed. A wiper element is disposed adjacent the holding tank inlet and is positioned to exert a wiping action on the sealing surface of the valve member when the valve is operated.
