Patent number: 9309683Abstract: A mobile toilet with a ventilation and heat-dissipating device comprises a base and a main body. The base is connected to a bottom of the main body. Ventilation openings are disposed at positions of a lower half portion of a total height of the base and the main body connected together. An exhaust port and a canopy device are disposed at predetermined positions of a top of the main body. The lower ventilation openings naturally guide air into the mobile toilet according to a chimney effect, so that hot air and stinks in the mobile toilet flow upwardly to the exhaust port, thereby heavily exhausting the hot air and the stinks and cooling the mobile toilet by a lot of natural convection. The canopy device blocks external rainwater.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2015Date of Patent: April 12, 2016Inventor: Daniel Huang

Patent number: 8499371Abstract: A portable toilet for marine craft securely located on the deck of a boat and including an inflatable privacy cover. The toilet includes a seat assembly and a box-shaped housing for a portable toilet. The boat seat assembly includes a boat seat, a boat seat back, and a support brace, made up of first and second support members hinged together. The first member connects the boat seat back to the second support member. The inner surface of the second support member defines a seat receiving portion for the boat seat. An inflatable cover is coupled to the boat seat housing and defines a pressurizable interior. A fan forcing air from an exterior of the inflatable toilet shelter to the pressurizable interior operatively inflates the inflatable cover. The inflatable toilet shelter can also have a swivel attached to the bottom for allowing the toilet to be vertically pivoted.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2012Date of Patent: August 6, 2013Inventor: Mark A. Patent number: 8091157Abstract: A modular portable cabana-type restroom includes a roof, base platform, foot portions, side wall panels, a back wall panel, four corner portions and a door. The side wall panels and back wall panel are provided with vertically-disposed hooks for interlocking with complementary slots along the edges of the corner portions. The roof is provided with clips for engaging the corner portions. This permits convenient interlocking removable assembly of the wall panels, corner portions and roof without the use of mechanical fasteners, such as rivets, screws or nuts and bolts. Recesses in the foot portions accept the insertion of the corner portions and corners of the base portion, which are then secured together through formed apertures using a minimum number of mechanical fasteners. This provides for easy assembly and disassembly of the restroom for transport, repair and storage.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 2009Date of Patent: January 10, 2012Assignee: PolyJohn Enterprises CorporationInventors: Daniel G. Patent number: 7455582Abstract: The solar powered fan for a portable enclosure includes an electrical fan, which is pivotally mounted within the interior region of a portable edifice, such as that associated with a portable toilet facility. The pivotal mounting of the fan allows for selective user adjustment of the angular position of the fan with respect to the roof of the housing. Mounted on the roof, exterior to the enclosure, is a hollow housing having at least one solar panel mounted to an upper surface thereof. The solar panel charges a rechargeable battery received within the hollow housing which, in turn, is in electrical communication with the electrical fan.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2006Date of Patent: November 25, 2008Inventor: Cory G. Patent number: 6681413Abstract: A portable restroom facility has a housing. The housing has a door opening for entering and exiting the housing. A removable waste storage container is stored within the housing for holding bodily waste. When the removable waste storage container is full or partially full, the removable waste storage container can be removed and a new clean removable waste storage container can be inserted into the housing. Thus, a waste drainage truck does not need to visit each facility and drain each portable restroom facility.Type: GrantFiled: March 5, 2002Date of Patent: January 27, 2004Inventor: Paul E. Weiss

Patent number: 4922557Abstract: The waste material holding tank located within a portable, outdoor toilet cabana is vented to atmosphere by a vent pipe extending upwardly from the tank to the roof of the toilet cabana. A small, electrical blower fan is mounted upon the upper, open end of the vent pipe for sucking air from the holding tank and blowing the air to outside atmosphere. A solar energy panel is mounted upon the roof of the cabana near the fan and is electrically connected to the fan. The panel generates electrical energy in response to a predetermined level of sunlight for electrically energizing the fan. Thus, the fan circulates air through the holding tank during the items that the sun is shining upon the cabana, to reduce the solar heat build-up in the holding tank for reducing the generation of noxious odors caused by heat induced reactions in the waste material in the tank.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 1989Date of Patent: May 8, 1990Assignee: Poly-John Enterprises Corp.Inventors: George W.
