Abstract: An arrangement for attaching a showerhead holder such that its height will be adjustable incorporates a wall-mounting rail having a central, forward-facing groove for attaching a showerhead holder such that its height will be adjustable on its front surface. An auxiliary groove that may be engaged by accessory items and a wall bracket that is intended for attaching the wall-mounting rail to the wall is situated on either side of that groove.

Abstract: A receptacle for a shower head capable of being mounted in different orientation and on surfaces inclined at different angles. The receptacle comprises a generally cylindrical body with an upper mounting flange and a lower wall with an opening for receiving the shower head. The cylindrical body has multiple openings to accommodate the shower head during different orientations of the receptacle. A receptacle cover is pivotally attached to the receptacle flange.

Abstract: A wall-mounting rod for attaching a holder for a shower head having a shower hose has a groove on its front surface, into which the section of hose from the shower head emerging from the holder may be inserted. The holder also has a sort of groove, into which the hose may be inserted. A securing device that holds the hose in place in the groove in the rod is provided in the vicinity of the lower end of the rod.

Abstract: A support for a hand-held shower-head includes a rod, a support bracket mounted proximate the first end of the rod and adapted to removably engage over the pipe of a fixed shower-head without the aid of tools, and a shower-head holder slidably mounted proximate the second end of the rod. The support bracket includes a shoulder bracket with a channel adapted to removably receive the pipe of the fixed shower-head and a clamp for releasably securing the support bracket to the rod. The shoulder bracket and clamp are rotatably joined. The opens in the channel have tabs to facilitate retention of the pipe within the channel.

Abstract: A shower mounted douche/bidet apparatus employs a diverter and an angled handle member with a dispenser head thereon. The handle is a ball headed arm member which provided an ergonomic spray dispensing.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a sliding rail consisting of two standards reciprocally defining a slotting wherein there is housed a shower support, into which there is obtained a recess intended to partly house a block forming a sliding guide for the support on the slotting, said sliding being allowed by the horizontal pivoting of the support relative to the block and by the consequent insertion or removal of the teeth provided on the support.

Abstract: A shower arm support for supporting the shower arm that projects outwardly through a shower stall wall from the water supply system that extends such support to the water supply system behind the shower stall wall. The apparatus includes a base sleeve that inwardly slides over the shower arm so that the rear surface of the base sleeve abuts the exposed surface of the shower stall wall. The base sleeve is then affixed to the shower stall wall using screws threadably received within front threaded openings of the base sleeve, and then clamped to the shower arm using screws threadably received within side threaded openings of the base sleeve, so that the base sleeve supports the shower arm from being loose or wobbly, and extends such support to the water supply system behind the shower stall wall that is connected to the shower arm.

Abstract: A shower has an elongated C-section holder tube having a laterally open full-length slot open at both ends, a bracket securing the holder tube to the wall, and a shower head. The head has a guide part snugly engageable in and slidable along the holder tube, a narrow neck projecting laterally from the guide part out of the tube through the slot thereof, and a spray part provided with spray holes and mounted on the neck outside the tube. A hose has an inner end connected to the guide part and communicating therethrough with the spray part and an outer end connectable to a source of water under pressure for spraying water from the holes of the spray part. The head is slidable along the holder tube with the hose extending from the guide part inside the holder tube and out of the open end of the holder tube.

Abstract: In apparatus to facilitate taking prolonged showers consisting of a shower stall or a bath and shower stall system which has features of a shower stall or a bath and shower stall, a water supply system, which has a fresh water supply system which can convey and control cold and hot fresh waters to a common water supply system which conveys waters to the shower head of the shower stall or the bath and shower stall system, and, a recycled water supply system, which can store, pump, reheat, control, and recycle the used shower water.

Abstract: A device for fixing a showerhead in a position on a wall slide bar includes a casing having top and bottom surfaces each extending transversely relative to the longitudinal direction of the bar and having cylindrical bore through the casing for receiving the bar. The device includes a brake pad that is engageable with the bar, and first and second pushbuttons, each of which is operable on the pad to engage the pad in a first position to engage the bar to fix the device in a specific position on the bar, and in a second position to disengage the pad from the bar, allowing the device to be moved longitudinally along the bar. The first pushbutton is in the top surface of the casing and is pressed in a first direction parallel to the longitudinal direction of the bar and toward the bottom surface of the casing to move from its first position to its second position.

Abstract: A shower assembly for use as a stationary shower or a hand-held shower includes a housing, a hose and a shower head. The housing includes a plurality of sides, an inlet, and an at least one outlet where said housing is concealed behind a shower wall adjacent thereto and protects the shower wall from water damage. A hose is freely disposed within the housing having a first end connected to a water supply pipe, a second end connected to the shower head on the exposed side of the shower wall and defining a fluid engagement between the water supply pipe and the shower head. The hose is extractable from a housing outlet when the user pulls on the hose second end during use as a hand-held shower and is retractable into the housing during use as a stationary shower and the hose is concealed from the user's view. The shower head height may also be adjusted to user's desired height.

Abstract: An adjustable height showerhead is slidably removable vertically along an axis to accommodate users of differing heights. The showerhead includes a fixed inner pipe, a water inlet connection, a wall mount and an adjustable pipe sleeve. The water inlet connection provides a flow of water into the fixed inner pipe, which has ports connected with the adjustable pipe sleeve to provide water therethrough into an annular space defined by the outer wall of the inner pipe and an inner wall of the adjustable pipe sleeve, which is connected to the outlet nozzle at a distal end. A locking subassembly maintains the showerhead in a fixed position until the locking assembly is unlocked, thereby permitting slidable movement of the adjustable pipe sleeve about an axis parallel to the fixed inner pipe.

The adjustable shower system includes a plurality of tubes having opposing female couplers, a plurality of connecting tubes having opposing threaded ends for threadably receiving the female couplers, a control valve fluidly connected to the connecting tube, a showerhead fluidly connected to the control valve, a plurality of suction cups attached to the connecting tube and the tubes, and an end cap attached to that distal threaded end of the last connecting tube. A first tube is fluidly connected to the existing shower pipe within a shower stall by simply removing the existing shower head.

Abstract: The invention is an extensible and retractable bathtub spout. The spout has a stationary base with a means to attach the stationary base to a structure, a detachable pull-out spout unit having a releasable mount to a front opening of the stationary base, a pressurized water supply, and a length of extensible hose attached to water supply and the pull-out spout unit. The extensible hose is contained in a stored position behind the rear opening of the stationary base and capable of being extended outwardly. The pull-out spout unit can also have a diverter valve and diverter controller, to divert pressurized water to a showerhead whether the pull-out spout unit is in the extended or retracted position. The pull-out spout unit can also have a backflow preventer. The extensible hose can have a means to prevent over-extension of the extensible hose.

Abstract: An assembly for dispensing condensed liquids, powders, soap bars or soap chips into shower water being sprayed onto a user, by way of a triple shower spray and dispensing reservoir. The assembly is connected to water outlet supply in wall of bathing enclosure utilizing three conventional shower heads alined horizontally, equidistance from each other coupled thereto in a cross shape piping, controlled by four separate valves enabling the selective open and close passage of fluid therethrough. Two conventional flexible reservoirs, in vertical position containing bathing solutions, may be attach by threaded connection to piping on either side of center cross piping, being controlled by two of the valves, thus dispensing contents of reservoirs into shower water.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a shower system having a nozzle supported by a carriage that travels along tracks in a shower tower housing. The carriage includes wheeled components pivotably connected together and biased apart at one end by a spring. It also includes a brake that is urged against a track by the spring to hold the body spray nozzle at a given height. The brake can be released by pulling the body spray nozzle outwardly to compress the spring. The carriage may then be slid vertically along the track to move the body spray nozzle to the desired height. Releasing the body spray nozzle re-engages the brake, which holds the body spray nozzle at the selected height.

Abstract: A portable showering cabinet for use by non-ambulatory, aged, or other persons unable to use conventional showering and hygienic home care facilities, particularly useful for a private home, hospitality industry, residential schools, general and specialized hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and bedside care in a nursing home. The showering cabinet system provides daily hygienic care for disabled, with or without minimal assistance from a caregiver, eliminating the need for a caregiver to help a disabled person enter a shower stall and eliminating the need for a caregiver to perform the showering of the individual. The portable cabinet includes a water supply system that attaches to existing hot and cold water supply cabinets and a manually movable cabinet that has casters, allowing it to be moved easily and quickly along a floor surface to a bedside, and an improved access auxiliary seat to insure safe entrance by the patient into and out of the enclosure from a seated position on the outside of the cabinet.

Abstract: A height adjustment mechanism for adjusting the height of a shower head by the use of the water pressure within the shower system is comprised of an inflatable bladder disposed within a channel. A first hollow tubular member extends from an opening on the bladder and has a typical shower head attached thereto while a second hollow tubular member extends from another opening on the bladder and connects to a typical water source. As water is presented into the system, the bladder inflates and engages the walls of the channel thereby holding the shower head in place. Cooperating protrusions and indentations can be used to assist in the friction engagement of the bladder with the channel walls.

The maximum number of water spray apertures in the system is sixty. Abstract: A holder assembly for a shower arm of a shower head includes a positioning body defining a vertical bore therein through which a vertical rod extends, which, in turn, is mounted to a wall of a bathroom. The positioning body includes an opening defined in an outer periphery thereof and communicated with the vertical bore, a pair of lugs formed on the outer periphery thereof and between which the opening is defined, and a lever pivotally connected to the lugs and including an operative end with an eccentric operative edge. A connecting part extends from the outer periphery of the positioning body. A shower arm holder includes a holder ring for removably holding a shower arm and is attached to the shower arm holder to the connecting part of the positioning body. The positioning body is frictionally held in position on the vertical rod when the lever is in a first, secured position. The positioning body is movable relative to the vertical rod when the lever is in a second, released position.

Abstract: A hand-held shower unit (12; 250; 504; 540) is disclosed which comprises a rotatable shower head (94) provided with a plurality of spray heads (132; 134; 136; 138) having different spray or water delivery characteristics. The rotatable head (94) is mounted on a shaft (122) driven by a micromotor (190) received in an inner cavity (64) which is formed in a handle casing (52; 252) by offsetting a water conduit (58). Upon pressing a control button (200), the rotatable head (94) is rotated such that water is delivered through selected one of the spray heads (132; 134; 136; 138). To establish a fluid tight seal between the rotary head (94) and the water conduit (58) while avoiding frictional contact therebetween in order to reduce the torque required for the micromotor (190) to rotate the head (94), a water pressure-responsive movable sealing member (104; 260) is arranged. Also disclosed is a shower bath system (10; 500) including in combination the hand-held shower unit ( 12; 250; 504; 540).

In the retracted position it serves as a conventional fixed jet. Abstract: A wall-mount faucet assembly has a mounting fitting adapted to be fixed in the wall and connected to incoming hot- and cold-water lines. This fitting is formed with an outwardly directed seat provided with hot- and cold-water ports to which can be fastened an end of a substantially cylindrical body centered on an axis of a mixing faucet. An annular holder has two parts that engage complementarily around the faucet body adjacent the base and against the wall and that can be secured together to clamp the holder to the faucet body. An annular cover plate engageable around the faucet body and over the holder axially with the wall is fastened to this holder to lock it in place. The cover plate includes a main part formed with a radially open slot wide enough to fit over the faucet body, and a filler part complementarily engageable in the slot.

Abstract: A shower device for connection to a fixed water outlet that extends out from a vertical wall includes a T-connection having a central opening that is mountable on the water outlet. A first articulated shower-head assembly is movably mounted on one side opening of the T-connection so that a first shower-head can be manually disposed at any position in a first predetermined sector that lies in a plane normal to the wall. A second articulated shower-head assembly is movably mounted on the other side opening of the T-connection so that a second shower-head can be disposed at any position in a second predetermined sector that lies in another plane normal to the wall.

Abstract: An improved shower head comprising a length of hollow tubing in the shape of a vertically disposed loop having spaced apart, vertically supported side sections and a horizontally supported bottom section joining respective lower ends of the side sections in which a preferred embodiment of the loop is annular in shape to include a horizontally supported top portion joining respective upper ends of the side sections, the outer wall portions of the tubing forming the outer face of the loop facing the bather containing spaced apart orifices producing a vertically disposed spray pattern. The orifices are located along the tubing wall region of the interior portion of the loop outer face an offset distance from the center line of the outer tubing wall that forms the face of the loop generating a spray pattern having an inwardly directed component around the periphery of the loop or annulus.

Abstract: A pivotal shower head is provided with a remotely actuatable directional control mechanism. A directional control yoke is mounted on a ball and socket pivotally adjustable shower head mounted within a protective housing. Four control cables are mounted at ninety degree intervals around the directional control yoke. The cables are each received for longitudinal movement within individual cable sheaths. The cable sheaths extend within a rigid tube to a remotely located joystick control housing. A master control yoke is connected to a ball and socket pivotally mounted joystick. Ends of the control cables are mounted at ninety degree intervals to the master control yoke. The pivotal shower head is adjusted by tensioning of the individual cables in response to movement of a joystick control lever. The joystick control housing has an upper surface provided with a receptacle for use as a soap dish.

Abstract: A stopper structure is provided for downward removable insertion into the drain opening of a tub or shower stall and a water pump assembly is also provided including a water inlet and a water outlet with the water inlet supported relative to the stopper closely above the latter. A shower head water spray structure is also provided and the water outlet of the pump is communicated therewith. When it is desired to recirculate shower water, the conventional shower or tub water valve is operated after the stopper structure has been utilized to plug the shower or tub drain and until a sufficient quantity of water is collected in the shower or tub bottom. Thereafter, the water pump of the recirculating shower may be actuated whereupon the water collected in the bottom of the shower or tub may be pumped therefrom and outwardly from the shower head water spray structure.
