Abstract: An enclosure support for fluid nozzles in a shower facility wherein there are linkage members for oscillating the nozzles as well as an oscillating member for effecting oscillation with the linkage members and the oscillating member being connected to the support wall which is hinged for connection to a wall member. The hinging member allows for complete access to the back of the support wall without detachment from the wall. In another embodiment, there are fluid nozzles which are attached to a pulsating member with the pulsating member attached to the support wall which is hinged to allow access to the pulsating member at the back of the support wall. Alternatively, the support wall can have connected thereto both the linkage members, the oscillating member, as well as the pulsating member.

Abstract: A multipurpose, collapsible, shower apparatus for use almost anywhere but especially adapted for use in places somewhat remote from civilization such as recreational vehicles, campers, the outdoors, space vehicles and the like where there may be a limited amount of water or other liquid. The collapsible shower apparatus includes a curtain assembly having an inner wall, an outer wall and a porous element for separating the inner and outer walls; a series of spaced hollow hoops connected by one or more sets of hollow tubes (manifolds); one or more nozzles connected to and in communication with at least one of the hollow hoops; a source of fluid under pressure in communication with at least one of the hollow hoops; and a suction pump for withdrawing fluid from the interior of the curtain assembly.

Abstract: A hand-held shower unit (12; 250; 504; 540) is disclosed which comprises a rotatable shower head (94) provided with a plurality of spray heads (132; 134; 136; 138) having different spray or water delivery characteristics. The rotatable head (94) is mounted on a shaft (122) driven by a micromotor (190) received in an inner cavity (64) which is formed in a handle casing (52; 252) by offsetting a water conduit (58). Upon pressing a control button (200), the rotatable head (94) is rotated such that water is delivered through selected one of the spray heads (132; 134; 136; 138). To establish a fluid tight seal between the rotary head (94) and the water conduit (58) while avoiding frictional contact therebetween in order to reduce the torque required for the micromotor (190) to rotate the head (94), a water pressure-responsive movable sealing member (104; 260) is arranged. Also disclosed is a shower bath system (10; 500) including in combination the hand-held shower unit ( 12; 250; 504; 540).

Abstract: An improved stationary showering apparatus configured substantially as a loop water-manifold to be mounted overhead while one is standing thereunder; including a header plate mechanically affixed to an existing shower water-outlet pipe via a mechanical grip attachment sleeve with the header plate supporting a substantially ring like water-manifold showering device therefrom in a cantilevered fashion.

Abstract: A shower and skin care unit for immobile patients. A case open at one end receives a shower-type gurney with the patient lying supine thereon with his head extending outwardly outside the open end of the case. Multiple shower heads deliver water and/or skin treating reagents. A closure releasably closes the open end of the case and positions beneath the patient's head a shapmpoo tray which drains into the case interior. A baffle molded on the interior of the closure below the shampoo tray also drains into the case interior. A trough on the case floor collects the waste water from the shower heads and delivers it to a suitably positioned case drain outlet.

Abstract: A shower device includes a plurality of nozzles provided to a housing, supplied hot and cold water to the nozzles being turned on and off through solenoid valves which are provided in a self-maintaining type and are supplied with a power from a low voltage power source through a controller. The device is thereby made simple and easy in its installation and to be operable for a long term with considerably low voltage and small power.

Abstract: A shower, which is incorporated with an adapter through a water pipe and an inner water tube for fastening in a water faucet to guide water to discharge from a perforated nozzle on the shower head thereof to produce fine streams of water for shower bath. A plurality of water channels are made inside the shower head and controlled by a drain cock in the handle portion of the shower head permitting flow of water to drive a swivel brush to rotate for body friction and simultaneously to discharge from the perforated nozzle so as produce fine streams of water for shower bath.

Abstract: A ceiling shower element for a shower room comprises a plate adapted to be installed in the ceiling of the shower room, and an inverted concave housing having its edges sealed to said plate and defining therewith a hollow cavity to which water is supplied. The portion of the plate which seals off the housing is provided with orifices through which water is ejected into the room below.

Abstract: A shower device includes a housing having a longitudinally elongated slit substantially in center part of the housing, substantially all constituents of the device being accommodated within the housing, so that a guide rail is disposed along the slit and a slider carrying a shower nozzle is displaced by a drive means for reciprocation along the guide rail with the shower nozzle disposed at the slit. The device is thus made excellent in the appearance and also in the safety with all water hoses disposed inside the housing.

Abstract: A wall-mount faucet assembly has a mounting fitting adapted to be fixed in the wall and connected to incoming hot- and cold-water lines. This fitting is formed with an outwardly directed seat provided with hot- and cold-water ports to which can be fastened an end of a substantially cylindrical body centered on an axis of a mixing faucet. An annular holder has two parts that engage complementarily around the faucet body adjacent the base and against the wall and that can be secured together to clamp the holder to the faucet body. An annular cover plate engageable around the faucet body and over the holder axially with the wall is fastened to this holder to lock it in place. The cover plate includes a main part formed with a radially open slot wide enough to fit over the faucet body, and a filler part complementarily engageable in the slot.

Abstract: A shower device for connection to a fixed water outlet that extends out from a vertical wall includes a T-connection having a central opening that is mountable on the water outlet. A first articulated shower-head assembly is movably mounted on one side opening of the T-connection so that a first shower-head can be manually disposed at any position in a first predetermined sector that lies in a plane normal to the wall. A second articulated shower-head assembly is movably mounted on the other side opening of the T-connection so that a second shower-head can be disposed at any position in a second predetermined sector that lies in another plane normal to the wall.

Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for dispensing liquid soap into or adjacent to a water stream emitted from a primary shower head mounted to a water line of a selected size. The apparatus has an auxiliary shower head from which a branch line extends of a size smaller than the water line size. It also has a mount for mounting the auxiliary shower head adjacent to the primary shower head with the branch line in fluid communication with the water line. A liquid soap reservoir is mounted in valved fluid communication with the auxiliary shower head.

Abstract: A dual shower head assembly for use in personal showers to allow two people to shower independently at the same time, one person to shower in a conventional manner or one person to shower with two separate sprays. The assembly includes an upper shower head, a lower shower head, a substantially "S"-shaped connecting conduit, a diverter valve assembly and an adjustable shut-off valve. The diverter valve assembly is adapted for threaded engagement with the water supply pipe protruding from the shower wall and defines a pair of water outlets, one of which communicates with and is pivotally connected to the lower end of the connecting conduit. The shut-off valve is carried by the diverter valve assembly and communicates with the other of the water outlets in the diverter valve for selectively allowing water flow therethrough. The lower shower head communicates with and is pivotally mounted on the shut-off valve, downstream of the diverter valve.

Abstract: A cleaning device in a bath enclosure connected to a water supply pipe and to a shower head and operable to direct water flow through either the shower head or a spray head disposed in an upper portion of the bath enclosure. The spray head has a plurality of discharge openings arranged to direct streams of fluid in a spread pattern so as to wash down substantially the entire inside surface of the bath enclosure. An injector assembly permits a container to introduce a cleaning fluid into the water to be sprayed through the spray head. One form disclosed has a diverter valve between the shower head and water supply pipe and the other form has a diverter valve at the hot and cold water control valves.

Abstract: A two-head shower arm, of integral, one-piece construction, having a rectilinear, straight pipe and upstream and downstream depending pipe portions, all having the same inside diameters and possessing the inherent and self-contained functional attributes and qualities of substantially the same volumetric water discharges from both depending pipe portions, without recirculation, surge or hammer; and adapted for free-standing cantilever mounting relationship with an existing water supply outlet fitting in a shower enclosure's vertical side wall to dispose thereby shower heads carried by the depending pipe portions in the same horizontal plane in normal relationship with the vertical side wall.

Abstract: A portable body shower includes a plurality of tubular sections which can be connected to form a pipe with a closed bottom end and a hollow center. The top end of the pipe can be connected to any standard shower extension. The pipe extends downward and has perforations for supplying water in a horizontal direction toward a person showering. The device also includes non-perforated tubular sections so that water is directed at selected areas of a person's body adjacent the perforated sections. A tubular section is also provided for dispensing soap. The body shower includes a swivel joint to enable the pipe to be rotated to direct water in any direction. The tubular sections are made of a plastic material such as polyvinylchloride.

Abstract: A shower head assembly is comprised of a diverter valve for diverting the water supply to one of two shower heads. One of the shower heads is generally laterally and adjustably displaced from the other of said shower heads by means of a swivable extension arm and the entire assembly is easily installable on the existing overhead water supply line of a shower stall or bath enclosure.

Abstract: A device for treating anatomical parts, particularly intestinal segments, in isolation comprising an open-ended chamber, a flexible diaphragm attached to one open end containing a plurality of incisions defining an opening through which the parts to be treated can be inserted into the chamber, a drain applied to the other end including a perforate strainer, a coupling element for connecting the drain to a source of vacuum and a plurality of nozzles positioned at equal distances abut peripherally of the chamber and substantially midway between the ends of the chamber through which a treating fluid can be ejected into the chamber.

Abstract: An improved seat shower for facilitating the care and treatment of patients in a clean shower environment, including a framework of such a height as to permit 360.degree. access to the seated patient, and a plurality of adjustable shower nozzles positioned about the seating area. Clean, disposable plastic liners are draped over the framework and base to maintain aseptic conditions.

Abstract: An adjustable shower assembly in which the shower head is connected by way of an elongated flexible hose or tube to a source of fluid under pressure in which the flexible hose is supported under a substantially constant and uniform tension to thereby permit selective vertical adjustment of the shower head while preventing flexing, twisting or vibration of the flexible hose due to the forces applied thereto during adjustment of the shower head or due to fluid pressures within the hose.

Abstract: An arrangement for bathing invalids, or others with impaired ambulatory ability, comprises an enclosure having a bathtub with upstanding walls which form a stall. The bathtub includes a seat having an anatomical contour and a lateral opening adjacent the seat to permit invalid ingress and egress. A door with a generally wedge-shaped contour mates with and selectively closes the bathtub opening, and includes a seal compressed between the opening lip and the door to form a seal which is sufficiently leakproof to permit immersal bathing of a seated invalid. The door is slideably mounted on a hingeless track assembly, which vertically translates the door into the closed position and pivots the door as it is raised into a horizontal, overhead storage position. Shower heads are mounted on the walls of the stall to provide both shower and immersal bathing for hygiene and therapy.

Abstract: An adjustable shower and massage apparatus adapted to be connected to water systems generally associated with bathtubs and stall showers. The apparatus is formed with a plurality of interconnected pipe members, the leading pipe member being attached to the water system and the trailing or end pipe being affixed to a stationary member such as a wall. The pipe members are interconnected by a plurality of universal joints which allow the contiguous pipe members and a connected shower-spray head to be positioned at any selected angular position, whereby water can be directed to any part of an individual's body, the apparatus including a handle for positioning the pipe members.
