Patent number: 4596082Abstract: An improved permanent calendar construction that allows easy removal and rearrangement of vertical date columns and yet prevents their disengagement when, for example, the calendar is tilted forward. Extending horizontally across the date column area or well, there is located at least one lipped horizontal track. A polymer binding extends around the mounting board and around all or a portion of the pad of sheet material to support the pad or sheet material to the mounting board. The polymer binding has a slight resiliency and may have imprinting thereon to indicate a day on a calendar, or the like. The method of making a display mount includes the steps of selecting a mounting board of predetermined width and a pad of sheet material of a predetermined width less than the width of the mounting board, binding the pad to the mounting board with a polymer strip extending around the mounting board and around at least a part of the sheets of the pad of sheet material.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 1983Date of Patent: June 18, 1985Inventor: Carroll N. Patent number: 4457088Abstract: The present invention relates to a calendar holder having a unique construction which permits all components of the holder to be manufactured of a plastic material. The holder includes an inclined support platform adapted to support a pair of spaced apart arches. Each arch is of a generally inverted U-shape and includes two legs which are inserted into apertures formed in the platform. One of the legs is provided with a lower threaded end and a radially extending lip immediately above the threaded end. The radial lip is received into an annular recess formed in the upper surface of the platform about one of the apertures. The radial lip functions both as a stop member to control the height of the respective arch and as a stabilizer for supporting the arch on the platform. A retaining nut is fastened to the threaded end of the one leg to secure the arch to the platform.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 1983Date of Patent: July 3, 1984Assignee: Sheller-Globe CorporationInventor: Jerry L. Patent number: 4351123Abstract: A display mount apparatus has a plurality of casebound panels connected together to define a hinged line between each pair of hinged panels. A transparent polymer material overlays the casebinding material covering at least a portion of two panels and extending over the hinged area to form at least two transparent pockets so that display material can be mounted in each pocket and the bending of the panels relative to each other will hold the display material in the polymer pocket. A method of making a display mount is provided having the steps of connecting a plurality of panels together and then casebinding the panels on at least one side. A transparent pocket is attached over a portion of the casebound panels and display material is inserted into the transparent pockets. Die cutting the panels die cuts the polymer pockets and display material to form a plurality of display mounts.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 1981Date of Patent: September 28, 1982Inventor: Carroll N. Patent number: 4342167Abstract: A self-mounting display calendar made of a multisheet paper pad having an upper mounting portion contained in a lightweight casing which is a packaging replica bearing distinctive indicia of a package design, e.g. serving as an advertising display, and a lower detachable portion on which calendar dates are printed, the two portions being separable along a tear line formed by two opposing edge notches and a number of two-dimensional perforations which occupy a major part of the tear line between the notches, a double-faced adhesive mounting being attached to the outer back side of the combined pad and casing. The resulting display device is readily mounted on a vertical surface with sufficient adhesive strength to resist the weight of the device and the force needed to detach each paper sheet bearing a calendar date.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 1980Date of Patent: August 3, 1982Inventor: Michael Stanard
