  • Patent number: 7827717
Abstract: A foldable traffic sign system comprises a relatively rigid sign panel and a plurality of folding lines disposed in the sign panel, for permitting ready folding of the sign panel into a substantially smaller configuration. In a preferred embodiment, at least one cut is disposed partially along a dimension of the sign panel, to further facilitate ready folding of the sign panel. One of the folding lines is disposed substantially horizontally across a center region of the sign panel, and at least one of the folding lines is disposed substantially vertically on the sign panel, and intersects with the horizontal folding line. The plurality of folding lines creates a plurality of sign sections, preferably six, defined by a combination of the folding lines and cuts in the sign panel. The sign system further comprises a folding sign stand, and a tote for containing both the sign panel and sign stand.

  • Patent number: 7644527
Abstract: An accordion sign assembly includes a sign holder and an accordion sign. The sign holder has an elongate shape and an upper surface. The accordion sign includes a plurality of sections for displaying indicia, the sections defining a top edge, a bottom edge, and being interconnected at a plurality of pleats. The accordion sign also includes a plurality of tabs connected to the bottom edge of the plurality of sections at a plurality of fold lines that are substantially orthogonal to the plurality of sections. The plurality of tabs are folded relative to the plurality of sections to extend substantially orthogonally from the plurality of sections. A plurality of fasteners secures the plurality of tabs to the sign holder.

Abstract: A folding hand held sign display with discreet convenient transportable storage having instant pop-up communicative exposure is deployed in seconds with a flicking motion of a user's wrist. An elongate planar printable substrate of paperboard or plastic comprises a plurality of laterally directioned weakened hinge lines (20) to form a plurality of indicia panels (28) which foldingly abut each other in a compacted zig-zag or accordion like configuration to store within a pocket or handbag. A single weakened hinge line (22) parallels the substrate's elongate length to form a vertically upright and slightly V-shaped (42) form which is retained by a user's hand laterally squeezing the exterior edges until a release permits the substrate's return to a planar position for its re-folding into its pocket sized state.

  • Publication number: 20080073475
Abstract: A recipe stand for flippably mounting recipe pages thereon includes at least one information card with information printed thereon which moves between a stowed position in which typically at least part of the information is hidden from sight and an exposed position in which the information is visible for simultaneous viewing with the recipes. The information typically includes measurement equivalents or ingredient substitutions. The stand may include a multi-ring binder which is openable for use and closable to a size which fits on a standard bookshelf. The stand may include multiple panels which are foldable between an erect position and a collapsed position. In one embodiment, a binder mechanism on which the pages are mounted is rotatably mounted on the stand between a forward position for displaying the fronts of the pages in an upright position and a reversed position for displaying backs of the pages in an upright position.

  • Patent number: 7047677
Abstract: A keepsake book such as a wedding guest book includes a fanfolded carrier sheet having a plurality of envelopes affixed to alternate sections of the sheet so that the envelopes overlap shingle fashion with a portion of each envelope exposed when the carrier sheet is unfolded, and so that the envelopes form a stack when the carrier sheet is folded. The front portion of each envelope adjacent to the bottom edge is adhered to a respective alternate section of the carrier sheet so that the flap of the envelope is exposed when the flap is folded against the back side of the envelope and the carrier is unfolded, the flap being provided with a tag having lines on which identifying information can be entered. Opposite ends of the carrier are fixed to respective front and back covers of the book, which can be closed against opposite sides of the stack of envelopes when the carrier is folded.

  • Patent number: 7004507
Abstract: A flat sheet of paper, or other thin flexible material, has information printed on one side in the form of a plurality of discrete panels or areas of text or images, while the entire other side is taken up by a large-scale, poster-like pattern. The panels or areas of text or images, are defined by crease lines created by folding the sheet of material. These creases are formed using a perpendicular fold method described in detail in this application. Each fold is perpendicular to the previous fold, creating a grid-like pattern, with each panel in the grid pattern containing a discrete quantity of text or images. When the invention is at its most folded state it has a relatively compact size. As the invention is unfolded, the panels of text or images are revealed in a specific sequence in order to tell a story or communicate some other type of sequentially ordered information.

  • Patent number: 6582544
Abstract: Discloses a method of making scanning hooks with a release agent on the label attachment tab. Stock is formed by laminating a plastic sheet which will provide the main carrier body of the overlay and a thin film which has a release agent strongly bonded to its outer surface. The film is bonded to the main plastic layer, such as by an adhesive. Overlay blanks are cut from the resulting laminate stock as by die cutting. The overlay blanks then are bent and mounted on scanning hooks, with the tab portion extending essentially vertically and presenting an outwardly exposed release surface which provides ready appliability, removability and replaceability of merchandising labels which bear information related to the products supported on the hanger.
