The fastener comprises a first load bearing structure adapted to maintain its shape when the airbag curtain is activated and a second energy absorbing structure adapted to deform when the airbag curtain is activated. The advantages by such a fastener is that the energy absorbing structure of the fastener will absorb a part of the energy from the forces working on the structure comprising the attachment holes such that there is less stress and damages to the attachment site and less risk for detachment of the airbag curtain.
