Abstract: The device comprises a sheet of paper or card, having a slit formed therein. The slit makes an inverted U-shape, having left and right leg portions, and a cross-bar. The slit divides the sheet into a front panel, on which a greetings message can be written or printed, and a fixing-loop, which slips over the neck of the bottle. The vertical length of the legs of the slit is shorter than the width between the legs, whereby the device comes to rest on the bottle, with the neck of the bottle touching the inside of the front panel and the back of the fixing-loop. The bottle does not touch the legs of the slit. An envelope for the device is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7010877
Abstract: A label assembly having multiple viewing areas and indicia portions is disclosed. A label is affixed to a non-opaque container, such as a glass or plastic bottle. The container contains an opaque substance, such as a consumable beverage. In one embodiment, the label includes two vertically separated viewing areas through which indicia portions on the inward side of the label on the opposite side of the bottle can be viewed. Thus, as the beverage is consumed below a first level, the first indicia portion becomes viewable through the first viewing area. As the beverage is consumed below a second level, the second indicia portion becomes viewable through the second viewing area. The first indicia portion is optionally an inquiry or question, and the second indicia portion is optionally a response or answer which is logically related to the first indicia portion. Packages of such containers can be assembled having various configurations of categories of subject matter contained in the indicia portion pairs.

Abstract: Labels having a permanent section and at least one removable coupon section are made from polymeric sheets or rolls suitable for printing and forming, at high rates of production, blown or injection in-mold labeled plastic containers are based on a polymeric white opaque, transparent, translucent or contact clear substrate monoaxially oriented and having a thickness in the range of 0.002 to 0.008 inches. The polymer film is reverse pattern-printed with an abhesive coextensive with the detachable portion then overcoated on the container-facing side with a continuous coating of heat activatable adhesive. Such sheet or roll can be printed and then cut into individual labels for affixing to the container as part of a in-molding process. Recyclable containers are provided at high speed without missing labels or doubled labels due to feeding problems.

  • Patent number: 6955002
Abstract: A flag for labeling medications provided in a medication cup, for use in the sterile field operating room, has a cup section with an adhesive back surface peelably attached to a backing sheet. A flag section is attached to the cup section of the flag at a bend line. A flag strip also having an adhesive back surface is supplied on the backing sheet. Multiple flags of different colors are preferably provided in a kit. A flag is attached to each cup. The flag section is labeled with a marker or a preprinted label, to indicate the content of the cup. The flag section is folded down so that it partially overlies the open top end of the cup. The syringe strip is adhered to a syringe used to draw medication out of the cup for administration to the patient. The flag and syringe strip provide a visual link or connection between each syringe and the contents of each cup. The risk of administering the wrong medication to a patient during surgery is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6951353
Abstract: The present invention relates to a medication management system that is simple, reliable and extremely easy to use. It comprises a label having a plurality of raised tabs that are depressed upon taking a medication to provide a tactile and a visual record of medication use. It can be secured to the medication container, and thus is not subject to being misplaced or forgotten. The system can be integrated with a pharmacy's computerized pharmaceutical record and prescription label printing system or it can be a stand-alone paste-on label. Alternatively, it can be used in combination with blister packs to dispense medication while maintaining a record of use. The label can be in the form of an overlay, which is placed over a preprinted container or a container having a prescription label. The use of a pressure sensitive releasable adhesive permits the removal of the overlay label in the event that is it necessary to read information on the underlying label.
