Abstract: The present application regards a holder for example for filing of paper. The holder includes a bottom plate on which it is assembled a central rotating supporting plate. In the central of the two plates a vertical shaft is mounted. The supporting plate and the vertical shaft are rotatable in relation to the bottom plate. On the shaft one or more binder mechanism from ring binders are assembled vertically, that is alongside the shaft. The filing in the holder is done by placing the object to be filed into for example pockets of clear plastic, which is kept by the binder mechanism from the ring binders, which is assembled on the vertical and rotatable placed shaft.

Abstract: A rotatable book holder includes a housing having a chamber to rotatably receive a rotary member which has a number of holes. A pole includes a lower portion secured to the rotary member, and a plate is secured to an upper portion of the pole and includes a number of holes facing toward the holes of the rotary member, to receive shanks of books, and for allowing the books to be rotated relative to the housing in concert with the rotary member, and thus for allowing the books to be easily viewed or read by the users. The housing includes a weight to rotatably support the pole and to increase stability of the housing.

Abstract: A system for mounting a component to a portfolio including a tongue located on the component, the tongue having a tail portion and a tip portion, and a portfolio having a tongue opening formed therein. The top can be inserted into the tongue opening and component rotated relative to the portfolio until the tongue is generally received through the tongue opening to couple the component to the portfolio.

Abstract: A photograph album system (10) has a spine (14) with an internal lateral groove (30) at one end and a removable retainer (42) having a plurality of internal retaining fingers (44) within the groove. A plurality of pages (52) are defined by a plurality of signatures (54). Each signature is defined by a plurality of page sets (56). Each page set consists of an interior support sheet (58) with a central fold (60) and a pair of exterior cover sheets (64). The exterior cover sheets are folded around an individual outer edge of an interior support sheet with each having a central fold defining an outer bend (66). The exterior cover sheets are adhered to the interior support sheet so that two pages are formed with separate pockets (72) on each side of each page. Posts (36) couple the pages to the spine.

Abstract: An index card for any index file (such as a lateral or flat index file or a rotary index file) is divided into upper and lower portion by a pair of score lines that extend inwardly from the lateral edges thereof and terminate at cut lines extending parallel to the side edges of the card. The cut lines extend parallel to the side edges of the card are interconnected by a cut line extending substantially parallel to the top and bottom of the card to thereby form a tab that extends from a folded edge formed when the upper portion of the card is folded about the score lines to overlie the lower portion of the card. Accordingly, indicia may be printed on the tab will be immediately available to the user of the file.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for storing media, such as compact discs, or the like. A pair of spaced apart, vertically oriented supports each provide an axle support. A rigid horizontal mounting rod is supported by a pair of integral end axles, each of which extend colinearly at each end of the rod for rotational engagement with one of the axle supports. The rod includes a cylindrical surface between the end axles for providing a plurality of parallel, longitudinal flutes therein. A knob is fixed to one or both of the end axles for enabling rotating of the mounting rod. The vertically oriented supports may be sidewalls of a cabinet for enclosing the apparatus. A plurality of flexible bags for storing the media each include a peripheral edge and a pair of mounting holes positioned adjacent to the edge. The bags are of a thickness such that the edge of at least one of the bags fits within one of the flutes.

Abstract: A card file of compact and efficient design which is fitted with a compact rotary base and separate stabilizers fastened to the bottom surface of the card file. A swivel base and stabilizers attached to the file housing provide a low profile, lighweight and efficient means by which the card file can be swivelled to any desired position in the horizontal plane. Adjusting means are also available to ensure that the stabilizing means can accommodate any irregularities in the bottom surface of the file or other object to which the swivel is attached in order to provide a proper disposition of the stabilizing elements.

Abstract: A storage and selectable display device for sheet media includes an enclosure having a slot. A rotatable spool is secured within the enclosure. A leader assembly attaches the sheets to the spool so that the free edges of the sheets are circumferentially disposed about the spool when rolled up. Individual leaders are attached to a master leader and charts are attached to the individual leaders. An actuator connected through a clutch rotates the spool to wind the sheets. Opposite rotation is prevented by the clutch. Belts frictionally engage a portion of the outermost surface of the spool and rolled sheets. Shafts are provided to hold the belts in position. The belt drive shaft is connected to the actuator by gearing and a clutch. The clutch actuates in the unwind direction, but not in the opposite direction. A flexible, resilient, transparent window has one edge which resiliently engages the rolled charts.An alternative ejection system includes a lay shaft and frictionally engaged idler roller.

Abstract: An item selection signal input system includes a sheet file carrying a plurality of item lists, each of the item lists being provided with item indicia for marking switches formed on a keyboard panel. The sheet file is removably wound around a bidirectionally rotatable drum through the use of a claw provided on the bidirectionally rotatable drum and an engaging member secured to one end of the sheet file. When different key markings are required, the sheet file is demounted from the bidirectionally rotatable drum, and a new sheet file is mounted on the bidirectionally rotatable drum through the use of the claw and the engaging member.

Abstract: A display device including a base, to which an upright standard is mounted. A display frame is rotatably mounted on the upright standard to permit rotation of the display frame about a vertical axis. Display support rods are mounted on the display frame for holding multiple groups of display items, such as photographs and the like. By rotation of the display frame, a selected group of the display items may be brought to view. The display support rods are constructed to permit selected display items to be flipped upwardly to expose the reverse side of the display item being flipped upwardly as well as the front side of the display item next behind the display item being flipped upwardly.

Abstract: A wall mounted telephone index including a housing arranged to be mounted in a substantially vertical position on a wall, the housing having a front opening for access to the interior in which a stack of pivotally mounted index cards are disposed with a pivotally mounted door on the housing for closing the front opening and maintaining the cards in a storage position. A slide selector is mounted on the housing for movement into a selected position for retaining engagement with a selected card so that when the door is pivoted downward manually, the index cards overlying the selected card pivot downwardly to display the selected index card.

Abstract: A card holder for a rotary type information retrieving device such as a telephone number list, address list, and so on, in which a plurality of information-containing card cases are hangingly supported between a pair of mutually spaced rotary discs. In the present invention, a plurality of pins are projectively provided on the mutually opposed surfaces of the pair of rotary discs around their circumference and at an equal space interval provided among them, and a plurality of the information-containing card cases are hangingly supported between the rotary discs by the inwardly projected pins thereon. Each card case is formed by folding a single sheet of film material into a folder shape, and its bent portion, either in a single U-shape or in a circular shape in its cross-section, is made a pin insertion engagement part.

Abstract: A plurality of rotatable card holders are disposed end-to-end on a horizontal fixed shaft supported at its ends by a tubular frame. Each of the card holders comprises two coaxial sections each of which is generally cylindrical with a peripheral web for holding the cards. Each of the cards has two notches for receiving the webs of the card holder so as to mount the card removably and hingedly on the card holder. At one end of each card holder there is provided a capstan having radially projecting spokes which extend out beyond the cards to provide means for manually rotating the card holder on the shaft. Between the two sections of each card holder there is provided a brake device comprising two H-shape members disposed respectively on opposite sides of the shaft and connected by two screws.

Abstract: A card file having a rotor with radiating arms, each of which has a card-carrying tray detachably connected thereto. The rotor is mounted in a housing for rotation about a horizontal axis so that each tray can be brought to a detent-defined viewing position at which the tray is disposed in a substantially horizontal attitude affording ready access to the file cards carried thereby. Inwardly facing ribs on the lower portion of the housing have their edges concentric to the axis of the rotor to be engagable by the outer extremities of the trays as they traverse the lower portion of their orbit upon rotation of the rotor, to thereby prevent detachment of the trays from the rotor arms. The various components of the rotor are held assembled with one another and with the housing entirely without reliance upon screws, bolts, rivets or the like.
