Abstract: The present application relates to an actuating mechanism (2) for controlling the cutting length of a hair trimmer. An actuating mechanism employs a frame (6), an actuator (8), a sliding member (5) and a coupling mechanism (7). The actuator and sliding member are mounted to the frame and are configured to slide linearly relative to the frame. The coupling mechanism connects the actuator to the sliding member and is configured such that sliding the actuator relative to the frame causes sliding movement of the sliding member relative to the frame of a reduced distance.

Abstract: Systems, apparatus, and methods are disclosed for enhancing the appearance and function of sports equipment. Systems include a mounting pad apparatus for attaching a variety of decorative or functional image exhibits. The disclosed apparatus may be configured to receive image exhibits of different sizes through the arrangement of slideable components, caddies, and other attachment arrangements. Systems, apparatus, and methods are also disclosed for decoratively and functionally enhancing sports equipment items such as sports boards by securing electronic image exhibits that communicate with users and other devices.

Abstract: A holder configured to support an electronic display device, the holder including: a mounting plate including a front configured to receive a back of the electronic display device, a swiveling ledge attached by a locking hinge to the mounting plate through independent arms and configured to grasp an edge of the electronic display device; and the locking hinge is configured to lock the swiveling ledge in at least three discrete angular positions with respect to the mounting plate.

Abstract: A mounting device for housing a smart device having a user interface comprises a horizontal armature, a screen housing, and a mounting bracket. The mounting device is configured for attachment to a display unit having a plurality of posts. The horizontal armature includes coupling mechanisms disposed at each end thereof, wherein each coupling mechanism is configured to be removably coupled to one of the posts. The screen housing has a hollow interior configured to receive the smart device therein, wherein the screen housing includes at least one aperture for providing visual and tactile access to desired portions of the smart device. The mounting bracket is securely coupled to the screen housing and includes at least one projection extending therefrom and configured to be received in a corresponding opening formed in the horizontal armature to couple the screen housing to the horizontal armature.

Abstract: A modular sign inserts system that comprises a back panel onto which at least two insert panels are adjacently arranged is provided. Each insert panel has a front side and a back side wherein the back side is placed onto the back panel and the front side displays information. The system further comprises at least one partition to be removably placed between two adjacent insert panels wherein the back side of the insert panels is removably connected to the back panel. The system can also be provided with a plurality of connectors attached to the back side for connecting the insert panels to the back panel.

The device includes a base, sign holder and a stem, the stem having a first end appended to the base and a second end supporting the sign holder. The stem has a length defined by the distance between its first and second ends, the length being adjustable to vary the distance between the base and sign holder.

Abstract: Certain embodiments disclose a corral and enclosure defined by three members having an opening configured to hold one or more shopping carts and display one or more advertisements, with two substantially parallel walls of different lengths and advertisement panels affixed on the walls, such that they are staggered. The staggered arrangement of the at least two advertisement panels facilitates better visibility and allows the simultaneous viewing of at least two advertisement panels. The longer member also further protects vehicles parked on its side from colliding with shopping carts.

Abstract: An expandable support assembly for hanging a sign on a host structure subject to dimensional changes over time includes a pair of elongate arms pivotally attached together at a crossing point, a connector pivotally attaching the elongate arms together and permitting the arms to rotate relative to each other, four anchors, and a panel attached to the connector for supporting the sign. Each anchor engages a respective longitudinal portion of one of the arms such that the connector is positioned between two anchors with respect to each arm. The anchors are movable along the arms for securing the expandable support assembly to the host structure. The arms are adapted to permit movement of the anchors along the arms and the connector is adapted to permit relative rotation of the arms in response to dimensional changes over time of the host structure.

Abstract: There is disclosed an improved portable stand especially adapted for mounting targets for a shooting range, which consists of a base unit formed by a first leg and a second leg rotationally mounted to the first leg. The first leg is provided with a pair of spaced apart mounting apertures, each of the mounting apertures provided with lock means incorporated therein. At least two vertical arms are adapted to be mounted into each of the mounting apertures and lockingly engaged therein, and the vertical arms are adapted to hold and display a target therebetween.

Abstract: An apparatus with display and base for media cases and/or packaging is provided. This includes, but is not limited to, the cases or packaging for DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, CDs, video or computer games, and VCR tapes. The apparatus, called a “Personal Marquee,” is capable of holding an individual case standing upright such that a substantial portion of the cover of the case is visible to the user. The artwork on the apparatus is designed to evoke the sense of the facade of a classical movie theater with its “Now Showing” marquee. The media display includes a base for support, an upright section for holding the media case, and a riser if necessary to accommodate cases of different sizes. The upright is attached to the base or is integral with the base and has an opening in front through which the media case is visible.

Abstract: An adjustable support structure for temporary sign displays formed from a vertically oriented rigid panel having a plurality of length and angle adjustable support arms. Each arm has a distal end thumb screw attachment to a T-nut on the sign. The arm is adjustably anchored to the panel by a bolt extending from the panel through a longitudinal oval slot in the arm to engage a wingnut. Additional hardware prevents loss of movable parts. Sign stiffening battens are tethered to the panel. A stiffening tray parallely spaced apart from the back of the panel further bears against and secures the support arms.
