Abstract: An adaptive stop sign, includes an octagonal stop sign plate with at least one multicolor light indicator; a traffic signal control system (TSCS) and/or a signal receiver and controller (SRC) to control a state of the adaptive stop sign including an on state, an off state, an active state or an inactive state, and the at least one multicolor light indicator. In the active state, the adaptive stop sign works as a traffic control signal and the TSCS and/or SRC switches on the at least one multicolor light indicator according to a traffic control signal. In the inactive state the adaptive stop sign works as a normal stop sign and the TSCS and/or SRC switches off the at least one multicolor light indicator, and only a word STOP is visible.

Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, a safety sign board system attached to an inner surface of a trunk lid of an automobile comprises an upper case 20 having a space for receiving a safety sign board and attached to the inner surface of the trunk lid of the automobile, a support coupled with a front portion of the upper case via a hinge, and the safety sign board shaped as a triangle, having an upper plate and a lower plate attached to each other, and attached to the support via a bolt. A plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) or lamps are formed on a surface of the upper plate.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for system and method for providing just-in-time loading zone parking is provided. A next delivery destination for a delivery driver is determined. A just-in-time parking reservation at the next delivery destination is booked. The just-in-time parking reservation includes a parking location and start time. A time of arrival by the delivery driver at the parking location is estimated. An amount of time between the estimated time of arrival and the start time of the just-in-time parking reservation is determined. Parking in the parking location by other drivers is permitted when the estimated time of departure is sufficiently prior to the start time of the just-in-time parking reservation.

Abstract: A prefabricated sign assembly that is self-supporting once set in the ground. The sign assembly has a base post. The base post has a bottom ground spike and a top free end. An extender post is provided. The extender post slides over the top of the base post. An internal support post is provided. The bottom of the internal support post slides over the top of the extender post. A sign board is provided having a first face panel and a second face panel. The two face panels are joined at a spine panel. A polygonal hole is disposed through the spine panel. The internal support post extends through the hole, wherein the internal support post and the hole rotationally interlock. The first face panel and the second face panel of the sign board are folded against the internal support post and are secured with fasteners.

Abstract: The invention relates to wayfinding devices including an integral changeable space for advertisements which enable the municipality to provide pedestrian wayfinding and reduce or eliminate the cost of such wayfinding system. The wayfinding device includes a stylized compass and a message element. The stylized compass defines an inner space and is intended to be embedded in a concrete panel and installed in a sidewalk, building façade, kiosk bus stop shelter and/or planter among other possibilities. The advertising element is positioned within the inner space defined by the stylized compass and includes an inner element and a centerpiece removable from the inner element. The centerpiece has a surface having a message portion.

In a preferred embodiment, the lateral member has suitable dimensions, is suitably positioned relative to the sign plate and has suitable second indicia so as to give the appearance, when viewed by right-angled traffic, that a portion of the sign plate was bent substantially perpendicular to the sign's normal orientation along substantially the vertical axis of the sign. The warning triangle structure includes a first board body, a second board body and a third board body, which are assembled with each other. Each of the board bodies has a first face and a second face, which together define an internal cavity. At least one light source and a light guide strip for guiding light are disposed in the cavity. The second and third board bodies are pivotally connected with movable stands for supporting the warning triangle in use. The second and third board bodies can be selectively collapsed onto the first and second faces of the first board body to minimize the volume of the warning triangle.

Abstract: A safety sign that has a front panel with cut out letters or numbers that form the word or message of the sign. Behind the front panel a predetermined distance can be a reflective panel or other surface. Light from an oncoming vehicle can reflect from this reflective panel through the cut out letters causing the sign to function like any other safety sign when not lighted. One or more light sources like LEDs can be mounted facing the reflective panel at angles so that light from these sources is reflected from the reflective panel and out through the cut out letters causing the sign to increase significantly in visibility at night or in other low light conditions. Further light sources can be located around the periphery of the sign or around the word or words on the sign. All or part of the light sources can be made to blink, and the system can optionally be made to turn off during the daytime. The sign can be run from AC power or battery power.

The road sign support includes a locking mechanism for locking the road sign support in the second position. The road sign mounting apparatus may be carried by a tire having reflective surface.

Abstract: A device used with a traffic cone to support caution tape includes at least one head extending from a body. The head is received in the opening defined at the top of a typical traffic cone to support the device in an upright position with respect to the cone. The body of the device is adapted to support a section of caution tape. The body may define a slot that allows the tape to be supported in an unfolded condition.

Abstract: An advertising system for a bollard includes a bollard shield that can be installed over a conventional bollard. The bollard shield includes a shield inner diameter greater than the bollard outer diameter, forming a shield gap between the bollard and the bollard shield. One or more compressible foam pads are positioned in the shield gap between the bollard and the bollard shield. A resilient bollard sheath can be rolled onto the bollard shield. The bollard sheath includes advertising or graphical materials disposed thereon. The bollard sheath is generally replaceable without replacing the entire bollard shield. A removable sheath panel may be detachably secured on the bollard sheath to provide additional advertising or graphical material. The sheath panel may be interchangeably and replaced with additional sheath panels having different advertising information.

A rearwardly extending formation of the horizontal support member can be coupled to a vehicle hitch so the sign base also can be supported on a vehicle for transport while displaying a sign.

Abstract: A traffic sign holder includes a first side for night use and an opposite second side for day use. Both sides of the traffic sign holder removably accept traffic signs which contain traffic control instructions. The first side contains a selectively energizable light and at least one reflector. The second side also includes at least one reflector, and is colored a bright color. Two base members are pivotally connected to the bottom of the traffic sign holder, and are selectively positionable to a locked extended position for placement on the surface of a road, and to a collapsed position for storage. Weights can be selectively connected to the traffic sign holder to provide stability.

The system features a display panel with a picture of a police car and a light component with red and blue lights. The display panel is mounted on a solar panel frame atop a base and is held in place by a securing means. The base features legs each with a ballast to help support the base and prevent the system from tipping due to high winds. The system of the present invention can be used in a variety of locations, for example in rural or urban settings, residential areas, hospitals, schools, and construction zones.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of improving roadway safety by increasing societal awareness and providing a recognizable symbol or figure that alerts motorists of upcoming roadway hazards, construction sites and broken down vehicles and triggers a compliant response. The method includes the introduction of a safety alert figure or symbol, which can be utilized in a broad marketing, advertising and educational campaign for the purposes of increasing roadway safety and awareness, particularly for commonly dangerous roadway environments involving motorists and pedestrians or roadway workers. The method also comprises the physical implementation of the figure as a roadway sign, alerting motorists and directing traffic while affiliating the sign with the campaigned figure. The goal is to increase roadway awareness, increase motorist compliance with roadway signs and reduce the instances of injury or fatality as a result of roadway collisions in these environments.

Abstract: An interchangeable address signage system utilizes one or more address tiles retained on a backplate. The backplate has a top rail and a bottom rail, with tabs extending from the rails. The address tiles each notches on their top surfaces and their bottom surfaces which correspond to the tabs on the rails of the backplate. The address tiles are either retained between the tabs extending from the rails or by the positioning of the tabs within the notches of the address tiles, depending on the number of tiles being placed on the backplate. A separable support frame attached to the backplate maintains the backplate and tiles in position. A display member which extends from the support frame provides for interchangeable decorative displays to be attached to the system.

Specifically a series of photographs, a series of photographic letters, or any series of flat, semi-flat, or three-dimensional display objects are displayable in a wide variety of display geometries: a horizontal line of frames, multiple, stacked, horizontal lines of frames, a vertical array of frames, multiple vertical arrays of frames, staggered arrays of frames, diagonal arrays of frames, crossword arrays of frames, and any combinations thereof. Also the disclosed display method is capable of displaying three-dimensional objects on shelves, or glass display cases, shadow boxes, on hooks, interlocking into the display cases—and the geometric display can mix a number of different display frames, for instance, a series of flat framed items with a three dimensional objects at each end of the array.

The second coupling includes an end plate bolted to at least one post section including at least one notch that providing a slip connection with the other post section.

Abstract: A nautical navigation aid comprising a photoluminescent element and a light wave re-directing means for improved photoluminescent qualities used to enhance the safety of nautical travelers on waterways in conditions where visibility is limited. The navigation aid sign has a first rigid sheet member having an upper surface, a lower surface and a peripheral edge, a second rigid sheet member having an upper surface and a lower surface extending outward from the peripheral edge of the first rigid sheet member at a predetermined angle to a predetermined length, thereby defining an angled collar of the first rigid sheet member sized and configured to redirect light waves emanating from a light source, and a luminescent layer. It is envisioned that an embodiment of the present invention might also include a means for retrofitting existing nautical navigation aids with a photoluminescent element and a light wave re-directing means for improved photoluminescent qualities.

Abstract: This design is a new multi-colored crosswalk sign with distinctive 3D vision. It belongs to road traffic sign field and includes crosswalk sign, crosswalk lane line with two trapezoids added to both ends of the white rectangle and parallel elongate trapezoids designed on both sides of the white rectangle. The trapezoids at both ends and the parallel elongate trapezoids on both sides are in different colors so that the crosswalk sign takes the appearance of distinctive 3D vision, which reminds pedestrians and drivers to be more careful.

Abstract: A traffic control assembly for marking roadways or other marking areas is shown generally having a base, a stake, a pin, a collar, and a flexible marker that extends substantially vertically from the base when in a non-impacted and non-deformed state. The pin passes through pin holes in the stake, collar, and marker when the traffic assembly is installed. The traffic control assembly has fewer parts and is thus easier to install and replace. The pin is in contact with the base to provide support to the stake and prevent it from listing when the assembly is struck by a vehicle.

Abstract: A display stand for a laptop computer has an L-shaped spine supporting the computer. A T-shaped upper advertising substrate holder can be slid into the vertical leg of the spine in one of multiple orientations, i.e., with the cross-bar of the T horizontal to the ground or vertical to the ground on either the left side or right side of the computer, as point of sale (POS) physical constraints demand. In all orientations of the upper holder, an upper advertising substrate is supported by the upper holder in a vertical orientation. A T-shaped lower advertising substrate holder can be slid into the horizontal leg of the spine to support a lower advertising substrate in a horizontal orientation.

Abstract: A portable signal system for use by crossing guards, roadway construction flaggers and the like. The signal system is positioned in or alongside a roadway and remotely controllable progressively from an idle or stop mode through a warning stage and ultimately to a traffic stop mode as the signal system frontal profile greatly expands in the face of oncoming motorists. In a warning stage, the signal system presents a flashing amber light array. Following an initial warning period, articulated arms journalled on said signal system and carrying stop signal signs including red lights are swiveled outwardly to stop mode confronting motorists in oncoming traffic. A motor driven gear disk operates through pivoted drive links to control laterally outward and inward movement of the articulated arms carrying the stop signs. The system may be manually moved by handles on wheels to its operational location and anchored in place.

Alternatively, the collapsible sign may include a support member comprising a base member in a perpendicular arrangement with the upright member, and including penetration means for stabilizing the upright member and the sign carrying member.

The traffic sign has colors of the panels chosen by considering common sense into consideration. A motorist may see the color of each panel of a traffic sign well ahead of the automobile driving on a highway. This is because the eyes are more sensitive to colors. A motorist can easily decide when to leave the highway when seeing the color of the panel with the further indication of the direction letter therein.

Abstract: A signal sequence of a traffic signal is notified for a driver of a vehicle that is heading for an intersection by using a signal sequence notification apparatus. If the apparatus determines, based on received signal sequence information, that the information indicates that the traffic signal is currently allowing an entrance into the intersection having the next signal sequence indicating that entrance is not allowed with no right turning permission, the driver receives warning about the entrance into the intersection. The warning thus decreases the possibility of the vehicle to be brought to a standstill in the intersection due to the traffic signal that has a signal sequence of no right/left turn by the right/left turn light after a signal change from GO to STOP regarding the straight traffic.
