Abstract: A paper towel having a full sheet includes differing tear forces between the main sheet portion and a plurality of smaller paper portions. The smaller paper portions may be detached from the main sheet as desired for use as a spill cleaner, napkin, tissue, or the like.

Abstract: A multi-label form, useful for printing data related to the medication delivering process is described. The form contains four main different label sections and most of the labels contain discreet and color defined subsections wherein the pertinent data is entered, organized and printed via a computer system. In particular label sections barcodes for electronic data readers in order to access information electronically saved are printed. Similarly, particular label sections also include particular locations for printing handwriting or electronically signature of the person to whom the medication has been delivered. Most of the label sections are correlated by the prescription number included in a particular subsections of the labels. After the printing, each particular label section is distributed to the medicament container, the patient, the pharmacy records and the health insurance records via the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PMB). The multi label form is preferably used with thermal printing process.

Abstract: A sticker includes a backing layer, a sticker body including a top layer and an adhesive layer, and a security arrangement cutting through the top layer only and being stopped at an adhesive layer to ensure the sticker body being completely removed from the backing layer without tearing the top layer apart. The security arrangement includes a plurality of lead edge notches evenly provided along the outer flange of the top layer, and a cutting line structure formed at the top layer. After the sticker body is completely removed from the backing layer and is applied for sticking on an object surface, the sticker body becomes a self-destructive layer by the security arrangement to be torn apart at the time when the sticker body is removed from the object surface so as to ensure the sticker body being unable to be removed completely from the object surface.

Abstract: Disclosed is a plastic film with concealed tearable strip, which includes a film body; at least one first tearable strip having two sides respectively forming first and second joint sections; and at least one second tearable strip having two sides respectively forming a third joint section and an internal tear line. The first and second tearable strips each have one side connected to the film body. The first joint section has two sides each forming a tear line. The third joint section has one side forming at least one tear line. The third joint section and the internal tear line have inside faces respectively coupled to the first and second joint sections, whereby the first and second tearable strips are respectively located at outside and inside of the film body and the second tearable strip is concealed at the inside of the film body.

Abstract: System of tagging items that integrates at least two tags of different shapes, each of which can be removed by withdrawing detachable parts. The system includes two flaps connected by a common fold line. The systems also includes a tab that extends longitudinally and is detachably connected along a transverse precut line to one of the flaps on an outer edge thereof, the width of the tab, measured transversely, being smaller than that of the flap.

Abstract: Described in some aspects of the present invention are methods and systems that can be used to track occurrences and/or non-occurrences of medical-related events, for example, to record whether one or more medical-related events have occurred at a particular time or during a particular time interval. Any suitable number of events may be tracked using such methods and systems, and the types and varieties of events that can be tracked are diverse. Examples include but are not limited to vaccine or other drug administrations, physical therapies, tests, diagnoses and surgeries. In some preferred embodiments, these and/or other medical-related occurrences or events will be tracked using an article that can be worn about the body of a patient although a variety of non-wearable articles can be utilized as well.

Abstract: A coupon card assembly for attaching to a support structure is disclosed. The assembly includes a hinge partially cut through first and second layers of material and a liner to define a first and second card portion movable about a pivot axis. The first card portion includes a score line disposed along a width and cut through the first layer of material to define a segment of the first layer of material removable from the first card portion to expose one of a first and second layer of adhesive remaining on the first card portion for attaching the first card portion to the support structure. The score line is spaced from the pivot axis with at least a portion of the hinge continuing to include both of the first and second layers of material such that the hinge remains functional after removing the segment.

Abstract: Advertising media for application to a substrate includes a release liner and a multi-part label. The multi-part label has a base label and a top label, both of which are coupled with an adhesive. A first adhesive has properties that allow the base label to be removed from the release liner and applied to a substrate or product packaging in a stable manner. The second adhesive has properties such that a sticky residue is not present when the top label is removed from the base label. A perforation pattern is provided. A method of advertising is also described.

Abstract: An identification mat for identifying electrical components having a plurality of identification units, wherein an identification unit has a crossbar and a plurality of identification plates integrally moulded on the crossbar. The identification units are connected to one another by means of a frame, wherein the frame is provided with a guidance device for guiding the identification mat in a printer. The identification mat allows identification units to be provided which can be labelled or printed essentially using all commercially available printing methods, particularly using a thermal transfer printing method and/or an inkjet printing method. The identification mat is produced from an amorphous plastic.

Abstract: A rolled article includes a roll of material and a holding device positioned on the roll and extending across the free end of the roll, securing the free end against an adjacent portion of the roll surface for preventing the roll from unraveling, the holding device including a base article having first and second securing regions positioned adjacent respective opposite sides of the base article and having a linking portion positioned therebetween, the first securing region secured to the roll surface on a first side of the free end and the second securing region secured to the roll on a second side of the free end, and first and second parting features disposed between respective first and second securing regions and the linking portion, wherein the parting features are configured for facilitating parting the base article between the linking portion and the securing regions to unroll the roll.

Abstract: Described in some aspects of the present invention are methods and systems that can be used to track occurrences and/or non-occurrences of medical-related events, for example, to record whether one or more medical-related events have occurred at a particular time or during a particular time interval. The loop-shaped first end of the fastener is configured to flex around a door protrusion such as a knob, lever, or hinge.

Abstract: Certain embodiments of the present invention provide for an indicator integrated into an item. The indicator integrated into the item may include at least two separation edges. The first separation edge may include a first termination point and a second termination point. The second separation edge may include a third termination point and a fourth termination point. The indicator integrated into the item may also include an aperture adjacent to the first and third termination points. Further, the indicator integrated into the item may include a score adjacent to the second and fourth termination points. In certain embodiments, the indicator is separated from the item along the first and second separation edges using the aperture and folded over the score to an open position such that at least a portion of the indicator extends beyond a perimeter of the item. Additionally, a void, contiguous with the aperture, exists between the first and second separation edges.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a perforated card includes a plurality of separable components that includes a tag suitable for the inclusion of personal data such as an address. The tag includes an opening. The card also includes a strap that is separably attached to at least a portion of the tag. The strap is insertable through the opening of the tag and is configured to be fixedly attached about a handle of a piece of luggage.

Abstract: The present disclosure and related inventions relate to a combination of gift wrapping paper and pre-cut pieces of adhesive tape. The gift wrap may be a single individual sheet that is wound around a tube or mandrel, otherwise known as roll wrap or it may be folded into neat, square or rectangular shapes, also known as flat wrap. Several pieces of pre-cut tape are provided on an adhesive backing sheet, from which the pre-cut tape can be easily removed. The tape may come in various shapes, sizes and colors. Alternatively, to/from stickers or adhesive seals may be provided in place of or in addition to the pre-cut strips of tape. The gift wrapping paper with tape is packaged together in shrink wrap, cellophane or other clear or transparent packaging material. The package may additionally include bows, ribbons, cards, scissors, gift wrap cutter or other gift wrap accessory.

Abstract: A combination article encircling band and coupon or ticket wherein the band is formed by overlapping and contacting spaced adhesive areas formed on opposite surfaces of a strip of material and the coupon or ticket is severable along a line of weakness in the strip material from the band. The combination may be use for advertising and promoting purposes such that information indicia on the band may be related to information indicia on the coupon or ticket.

Abstract: A product announcement and merchandizing device and system is provided and includes a system and method for matching or merging a first product with one or more distinct products or services and displaying that merged message through use of a hang tag or an article identifier arrangement. The hang tag or article identifier has first and second sections with one or more individually operable and distinct fields. The system can actuate a message or other response in connection with receiving a particular signal or as part of an advertising campaign.

Abstract: A unitizing label and handle for multiple packages bundles two or more adjacent packages, which may contain wet wipes for consumer use. A label is at least partially affixed to the two or more adjacent packages in order to retain them, the label adapted for separating at locations between each adjacent pair of the two or more adjacent packages to facilitate removal of a package. The label may also have a handle portion at least partially separable from the label such that the handle in a first position is generally parallel with the label such that it has a low profile, and in a second separated position the handle allows a user to grasp the label and carry the two or more adjacent packages.

Abstract: A valet parking envelope includes a front panel and a rear panel. The front panel of the valet parking envelope preferably includes an identification number, vehicle owner area, a date/time area, a vehicle make/model area, a color area, a license plate area, emergency contact area and a valet driver area. A vehicle tag and an owner coupon are removably attached to a bottom of the valet parking envelope. The rear panel of the valet parking envelope includes a right side image of a vehicle, a top image of a vehicle and a left side image a vehicle. The valet parking envelope further includes a flap and a metal clasp. A vehicle key is preferably retained relative to the valet parking envelope with a length of string. A storage box with a lid may be used to retain a plurality of valet parking envelopes.

Abstract: A label assembly comprising a plurality of labels on a carrier sheet wherein the carrier sheet has a bisector line and a perimeter line as follows: (1) the bisector line extends from a first edge of the carrier sheet to the opposing edge of the carrier sheet dividing the carrier sheet into substantially symmetric halves; and (2) a perimeter line that is closed upon itself and intersects the bisector line at two locations, dividing the carrier sheet into a frame portion and an array portion. The bisector line and the perimeter line divide the array portion into two backing segments. Also a method using such label assembly comprising folding the assembly along the bisector line and separating the frame portion of the carrier sheet from the array portion of the carrier sheet along the perimeter line.

Abstract: There are disclosed several embodiments of label sets or arrays having a substantial capacity for printed information while maintaining all the labels of the array associated and properly oriented with respect to each other, wherein all the labels of each set or array can be printed in a printer. The labels of the array are preferably printed in transverse rows across a label web to increase the number of labels that can be carried on a roll.

Abstract: A label product in web form has alternating, oppositely indented creases in the liner of the product to produce a fan-folded stack having alternating, reversely folded plies. Each crease is substantially, if not entirely, perforation-free to maximize the strength of the liner at the fold lines. The product is preferably produced on a narrow web press in a creasing station that includes a stack of rolls wherein a first die roll is on the bottom of the stack, a second die roll is on the top of the stack, and a pair of base rolls are located in the middle of the stack between the die rolls. A blade on each die roll cooperates with a cushion on the corresponding base roll to produce a crease during every other rotation of the die roll, each of the base rolls having a smaller circumference than its corresponding die roll.

Abstract: A printable sheet including a sheet matrix and a plurality of removable tabs cut within the sheet matrix and aligned in a column adjacent an edge of the printable sheet. Each of the removable tabs is separated from the sheet matrix by a first line of separation and is separated from an adjacent removable tab by a second line of separation. The removable tabs can be printed with information, such as a contact phone number, that a person reading the sheet, such as including an advertisement, may want to remove for later reference. A tearable and removable strip can be disposed between the column of removable tabs and the edge of the printable sheet to support the tabs during printing.

Abstract: An improved label assembly for a customizable gift box has a face sheet including a carrier portion, a label, and a tearable line of separation between the carrier portion and the label, and a back sheet removably joined to the face sheet. At least one removable appendage present in the carrier portion includes a first relatively narrow edge, a second relatively wider edge, and S-shaped side edges joining the first and second edges. The removal appendage can be applied to the sidewalls of a box blank to maintain the edges of the sidewalls on an adjacent position during installation of the label. The back sheet can also be provided with one or more foldable index tabs to help position the box relative to the label assembly during installation of the label.

Abstract: A packaging article including a flap for opening and reclosing the packaging article. The packaging article comprises a flexible packaging material and a label. The flexible packaging material includes the flap and a plurality of slits defining at least a portion of a boundary of the flap. The plurality of slits are substantially parallel to and spaced from one another and have a length dimension. When applying to the flap a tearing force directed substantially perpendicularly to the length dimensions of the plurality of slits, the flap can be opened by the tearing force tearing the flexible packaging material between the plurality of slits. A first portion of the label is affixed to a portion of the flap. A second portion of the label is adapted to be repeatedly removably adhered to a portion of the flexible packaging material adjacent the flap such that the flap can be opened and reclosed. The packaging article may be a ream wrapper.

Abstract: A label for a prescription pharmacy bottle comprises a first portion adapted for securing to a front portion of a bottle, a second portion adapted for securing to back portion of a bottle, and a printed information on the label relating to a medication. The printed information includes a first type of information, a second type of information, and a third type of information. The first type of information includes prescription-related information including, but not limited to, a drug identifier and a patient identifier. The second type of information includes at least one of a drug identifier and a patient identifier. The third type of information includes warning information. The first type of information is always positioned in the first portion of the label and the third type of information is always positioned on the second portion of the label, and the first type of information is printed at a 180 degree opposite orientation of the second type and third type of information.

We describe a medicament blister pack label comprising a sheet having points of weakness (11) defining non-specified medicament release regions.

Abstract: A prepaid long-distance telephone calling card has two or more distinct PIN numbers each obscured by opaque scratch-off material. Each PIN number is associated with prepaid value. A user can scratch off the opaque material for PIN numbers one by one, and the value for each PIN number expires in a way that is unrelated to any other PIN number on the card.

Abstract: A vehicle identification and locator card for vehicle parking and servicing establishments includes three segments which can be detached from one another. All three carry the same vehicle identification number. A first segment is placed in the vehicle, a second segment is given to the customer and the third segment includes a die cut removable spatula shaped key tag carrying the vehicle identification number which can be attached to the vehicle key and hung on the hook or peg pending use by the service personnel or return of the vehicle owner. The key tag includes a rubber based adhesive backing and includes a handle portion which is passed through the key ring or hole in the ignition key and then sandwiched between folded parts of a paddle portion of the spatula. The folding brings into registration two holes punched in the paddle portion thereby facilitating hanging the key tag on a hook or peg.

Abstract: A stored-value product includes a toy automobile and a panel. The toy automobile includes a body and wheels rotatably coupled to the body. The panel is coupled to the body and includes an account identifier signifying a financial account or record linked to the stored-value card assembly. Abstract: A combination paper cover and attached overlay with a detachable advertising coupon attached to the overlay. A method of making the cover and overlay using a folded sheet of heat sealable material for the cover and a printed single sheet of a heat-sealable material for the overlay in which the single sheet is placed over the folded sheet with a free end projecting past the folded edge of the cover, the edge is perforated to form a line of weakness to define the coupon, and the cover and overlay are heat sealed together along their side edges and formed into individual units simultaneously.

The transaction card assembly may include two or more transaction cards that are each useable with different issuers. A first transaction card may be useable only with a first issuer, and the second transaction card may be useable with one or more entities other than the first issuer. The transaction card assembly may be formed from a same piece of material and may include one or more machine-readable features, such as a barcode, magnetic strip or electronic device. The transaction cards may meet ANSI and ISO specifications, e.g., after the cards are separated from each other without the use of tools.

Abstract: A vehicle locator and service hang card for vehicle parking and servicing establishments includes an upper portion with a tag number and space for entering customer information and a lower portion made of synthetic paper which an ignition key tag is die cut. The key tag retains its strength when wet. The lower portion may be attached to the upper portion by an adhesive tape.

Abstract: A label has a film and an adhesive, as with a common bracket label. The label is divided into two functional regions (A) and (B) by a separating line. One region essentially supplies information, for example, by imprinting, and the other region assumes the hanging function of the bracket. Region (B) is generally designed to be non-adhering or is capable of reducing the adhesive action. In this manner, the bracket can be detached quickly from the labeled object with use, and no adhesive region is bared upon detachment. A lower film lies under the first film and is preferably connected with the first film by an adhesive. The lower film is provided with a further separating line slightly offset to the separating line between the two functional regions.

Abstract: A flag label for attaching to a product has adhesive faced transparent over-laminate and under-laminate layers on opposite sides of a printed layer. This assembly is releasably mounted on a release liner prior to use. The over-laminate defines an pressure sensitive adhesive backed tab portion demarcated by a tear line of perforations from a body portion of the label, which has pressure sensitive adhesive areas on its rear surface. The tab portion extends from the body portion and a portion of the body portion is unsupported by the product when attached.

Abstract: An elongated display assembly for removably inserting and simultaneously displaying a plurality of separate flexible and generally flat items to be displayed comprises an elongated open display housing having a flat back panel with an upper front flange and a lower front flange extending along the length and an upper channel and a lower channel extending along the length between the flat back panel, upper front flange and the lower front flange. The channels are for receiving upper and lower respective edges of items to be displayed. The back panel has an elongated score or notch extending along its length capable of separating the panel into an upper frame member and a lower frame member. The front of the display housing is open for removably securing a plurality of separate display items from the front.

Abstract: The invention relates to an adhesive label, a resealable package provide with such a label and a label web. The package has an openable flap (14) defined by an arcuate indication (16). The label (12) is adhesively fixed to the package body for the purpose of resealably sealing the flap. The label has a top portion forming a gripping tab (20) and two leg portions (22) extending in a diverging manner from the gripping tab (20) and defining between them a central recess (23). The label is integrated with at least one projecting indicator portion (24) for each leg portion (22), which indicator portions are adapted to be separated from the label (12) when the package (10) is opened for the first time. The leg portions with the projecting indicator portions (24) form a first contour on the convex side of the indication (16) and the leg portions (22) form a second contour on the concave side of the indication (16), which is complementary to the first contour.

Abstract: Printed tags of double thickness for marking electronic elements include first and second parallel, spaced apart strips. Tags of first and second sets have outer ends detachably connected to inner edges of the first and second strips, respectively, and extend toward the other strip. Each tag of the first and second sets have inner ends that extend in a lengthwise direction of the strips, with the inner ends of respective opposing tags of the first and second sets being connected together along a center line that extends in the lengthwise direction to form a tag pair. The tags of each connected tag pair are marked with identical indicia. The connected tags are folded along the center lines thereof so that the identically marked opposing connected tags are superimposed over each other to create tags of double thickness and double markings on both outer surfaces.

Abstract: A claim tag assembly has a first layer of card stock and a second layer of card stock with a liner sandwiched therebetween. Score lines are cut through the layers of card stock and the liner to define a first identification portion and a second identification portion. A first identifier is printed on the first identification portion for conveying a first message and a second identifier is printed on the second identification portion for conveying a second message which is identical to the first message. The first and second identification portions can then be matched after separation. The score lines further defining a card with the card being separable from the first and second identification portions. The card has at least promotional indicia and/or a coupon printed thereon for providing a marketing aspect to the claim tag assembly. Preferably, the card has a plurality of mini-coupons which can be detached from the card.

Advertising areas are also disposed on the advertising portion for conveying various advertising information. The first and second layers of material for the sticker portion are further defined as first and second flexible film layers having a specific thickness. The coupon card portion has a number of removable mini-coupons that can be subsequently detached and redeemed.

Abstract: An identification badge having a front panel and a back panel affixed to the front panel. An extended section extends from the back panel and has a perforation pattern formed thereon. The perforation pattern defines a neck strap when the perforations are separated. The front panel is formed of a transparent material. An identification card can be positioned between the front and the back panel.
