Abstract: A handheld device to enable a person to create Braille impressions in adhesive tape as labels or messages, where the device includes a hollow base structure, with a tape exit port, and a top region with flexurally hinged embossing arms whose tips converge to a central region, where the tips have downwardly projecting convex bump structures located above concave bump receiving structures, and a tape holding structure onto which a roll of tape can be placed, whereby tape coming from the roll can pass between the convex and concave bump structures, over the cutting edge and out the tape exit port. Furthermore, the device can have a cover structure with flexurally hinged members located above, and coupled to, the hinged embossing arms with snap domes to provide an audible click and tactile cue when the flexurally hinged members are pushed down on by a user's fingers.

Abstract: Date can be printed on a business card in a business card case by realizing a business card case with a printing function. The business card case with a printing function includes an upper case (1) provided with a pressing rubber (12) and a pressing block (13) of a printing hammer, a lower case (2) connected to the upper case (1) so as to be freely opened and closed, a card containing section (3) formed in the case, a typing device in which a plurality of date printing type units coupled so as to move up and down among a plurality of type blocks each having a type formed on the upper surface are fixed to a type case (4), and a printing ribbon (5) for printing the date. The date is printed by pressing the print hammer and pressing the business card (34) against the type with the printing ribbon (5) interposed therebetween.
Abstract: An embossing control method used in a braille-embossing apparatus includes an embossing head that embosses a braille string on a tape fed along a tape-conveying path, the braille string being embossed in an area biased to one of upper and lower sides of the tape along the width of the tape without changing the upper and lower direction of the braille string. The embossing control method includes the steps of designating the area biased to one of the upper and lower sides of the tape along the width of the tape as a braille-embossing area in which braille embossing is to be performed and embossing the braille string in the designated braille-embossing area.

Abstract: A print processing method of a printing-and-embossing composite apparatus in which ink-characters printing and braille embossing are performed on the same object based on inputted character information, wherein, in cases where the ink-characters printing and the braille embossing are performed on the same object in a superposed state, and a character size for use in the ink-characters printing is set equal to or less than a given size, the ink-characters printing is barred.
Abstract: A stamping and die-cutting tool with quick mould change design comprises: a casing and a pushing member. The pushing member has a pushing portion to be fixed at an extended position and a retracted position alternatively after being pressed repeatedly. The pushing member is fixed in the casing. A mould have an attractive surface and is moveably disposed in the casing in such a manner that the attractive surface is attracted to the pushing portion of the pushing member; by pressing the mould, the pushing member will be moved out of and retracted into the casing, so that the mould can be changed easily.
Abstract: An embossing tool for embossing a sheet of material has a body formed with a fissure for receiving the sheet of material, a lever pivotably mounted about a pivot point on the body and a block positionable between the lever and the body. The block has an embossing face moveable along a first axis, and further has a center riser configured to receive the lever. At least one resilient member is provided, adjacent to the embossing face along a second axis, spaced apart from the first axis, and disposed between the block and the body. When the block is positioned between the lever and the body and when the lever is pivoted about the pivot point between a first position and a second position, the lever engages the block having the axially moveable embossing face to emboss the sheet of material.
Abstract: A punch/emboss tool is provided that accepts interchangeable insert sets. A punch insert set consists of one punch and one die that cooperate to punch out a particular design in sheet material, such as paper. Similarly, an emboss insert set consists of one emboss die and one emboss die counter that cooperate to emboss a particular design. Once loaded in the tool, one half of the insert set is fixed relative to the tool. The other half is slidably aligned to the first half by a non-circular bore. The sheet material is inserted into a slit in the tool, between the two cooperating inserts. An actuating lever presses on the sliding half of the insert set with some mechanical advantage to the user. When a user presses the actuating lever, the two halves of the aligned insert set cooperate to form a punched or embossed design on the sheet material.
Abstract: The present invention is a hand-held tool for embossing a sheet of paper or other media, and a method for performing the embossing. The tool is preferably a two-ended embossing tool, wherein each end has differently-sized roller ball that rotates/rolls in all directions inside a retainer. Each roller ball is biased outward, for example, by a detent-style spring unit. The preferably spring contacts the ball, so that the ball(s) and the spring(s) is/are the only moving parts of the tool. To use the tool, preferably the user applies pressure to the tool over paper or other media on top of a template with open channels in the shape of a desired design. The ball is received in the channel with the paper or other media lying between the exposed ball surface and the template. A guide surface extends out from the ball to be generally parallel to the surface of the paper beside the channel area.
