Patent number: 5967483Abstract: A rotatable, free standing copy holder with a relatively narrow base structure upon which is mounted a cylindrical drum to which sheets of standard office size paper containing written or printed information may be clamped at the top margin. The configuration of the base permits the lower portion of the sheet of copy to be tucked in a loose roll into the open space in the base under the drum. To scan the sheet of copy for further processing, the drum is manually rotated clockwise by means of thumb wheels attached to each end of the drum. When the drum is being rotated, the sheet of copy passes under a window that is cut into the base wall while it is progressively being rolled up on the drum. This allows the copy to be seen and processed a few lines at a time and blocks out the copy that has already passed across the window as well as the copy still to be rotated past it.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 1995Date of Patent: October 19, 1999Inventors: Sidney Liberfarb, Florence Liberfarb

The keyboard has a flat surface between the keyboard sides, so while being held on a persons lap, will hold reference material and a second party pointing device that can be used with either hand to keep the neck straight. A notebook computer with keyboards that open up on each side so the operators hands are separated. The keyboards can slide closed or fold closed, and when folded, interleave so full size keys can be used and facilitate a more compact design, and can be unfolded so the keyboards slant down below the computer or keyboard to centralize the computer on a persons lap, and reduce the twist between the hand and wrist. The keyboard includes a device to turn all visual indication of computer operation off to be used in a secure no light area with a speaker to give verbal enunciated messages in response to the keyboard and from a computer.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 1996Date of Patent: July 1, 1997Inventor: James H. Patent number: 5452876Abstract: A copy holder which may be placed in-line vertically with a computer monitor to reduce visual fatigue and head turning. A rear edge portion of the copy holder tray is attached to fasteners which are mounted in elongate slots in the side walls for movement of the copy holder tray between a first position within the copy holder for storage of copy and a second position wherein the copy holder tray extends forwardly from the copy holder for displaying copy. The slots are elevated above a desktop so that the copy holder tray is inclined to the desktop at a comfortable predetermined angle, preferably about 22 degrees, when in the second position, with the monitor screen elevated to a comfortable viewing height. In accordance with one embodiment, the copy holder is caused to be received or rest on the shelf of a monitor stand to achieve the predetermined angle. Alternatively, the side walls of the copy holder extend to a height which achieves the predetermined angle.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1994Date of Patent: September 26, 1995Assignee: Posting Equipment CorporationInventor: David M.
