Abstract: The present invention relates to a cosmetic container, and more particularly, to a cosmetic container which is constructed to facilitate elevating and lowering of a brush, and opening and closing of upper and lower caps through an interaction between the caps, in order to solve inconvenience where the brush is naturally deformed by the contents in a container (vessel) when liquid cosmetics such as lip gloss, eyeliner, eye shadow or manicure are put into and used within the container. A cosmetic cosmetic comprises a container body having a threaded portion provided on an opening portion thereof, a packing body seated on the opening portion, an upper cap and an elevating holder for elevating and lowering the brush, and a lower cap for separating all the caps from the container.

Abstract: An apparatus wherein a fluid container mounts a threadedly removable cap, the threadedly removable cap including an internally threaded bottom well for securement to the container, with an upper cap bore mounting a plunger therewithin, the plunger coaxially aligned with the cap and container and mounting a brush rod and brush. The brush is in contact with a floor of the container in a second position displaced from a first position to permit the brush to project interiorly of the container for access to fluid on the floor of the container. An annular sealing ring encircles an inside of the lower section of the cap, wherein ring is in intimate circumferential contact with brush stem.

Abstract: A cosmetic container includes a containing part, a cover, and a brush, which is inseparably screwed into a step-shaped portion of the cover at an upper portion; the containing part has an inner lid securely disposed over the upper opening, which lid has a non-circular hole fitting a bristles-formed lower portion of the brush; the upper portion of the brush has a stopping rim around a lower end; the cosmetic container can be closed by means of screwing the cover onto the containing part with the brush lower portion being passed through the inner lid, and with the stopping rim being pressed against the lid; thus, when the cover is being screwed on the containing part, it will be displaced relative to the brush while the brush can be removed from the containing part after the cover has been screwed off the containing part.

Abstract: A container such as a nail varnish container is provided which permits the user to quickly remove or put on the cap with a single hand without the need of turning the cap. The container includes a container body having a neck formed with a narrow hole having its top edge tapered. The neck has a tapered upper portion and a small-diameter portion connected to the bottom of the tapered upper portion to define a shoulder on the bottom. Its cap includes a cap body to be fitted on the neck. The cap body houses a vertically movable plug which can be seated on the tapered top edge of the neck, an elastic member which slides downwardly along the outer surface of the tapered upper portion and fits in the small-diameter portion and engages the shoulder, and a spring biasing the plug downwardly relative to the cap body. The cap body is provided with a disengaging means for disengaging the elastic member from the shoulder.

Abstract: A hair product application package is provided for applying a supply of hair gel product to curly hair in order to facilitate straightening thereof. A translucent plastic container is included for storing a product applicator and the clear, gelatinous composition. The product applicator has an ergonomically designed cap so as to allow easy user manipulation and control thereof. The product applicator includes bristles defined as split fibers. The product supply is a composition having properties facilitating a greaseless, non-wet appearance when applied to consumer's hair.

Abstract: A case for packaging a substance, such as a semiliquid substance, for example a makeup product and/or a care product. The case comprises a body suitable for receiving the substance and a lid suitable for pressing against the substance in the case body to enclose the substance in a leak-proof manner. The lid and the body have internal profiles configured such that, at least prior to first use, and after the substance has flowed under the effect of its own weight while the lid is not present on the body, installing the lid on the case body reduces the maximum thickness of the substance.

The applicator (1) comprises a longitudinal element (11) with a manual gripping means (13, 15) fixed to its upper end (12) and a means of application (2) of the said cosmetic product at its lower end (14), the application means (2) cooperating with the said lower end (14) in rotation, the said application means (2) comprising a means (27) of transferring or temporarily retaining the said product.

Abstract: A device for dispensing mascara includes a container assembly for holding the supply of mascara and an applicator for dispensing an amount of mascara, the applicator being sized and shaped to penetrate into the container assembly. The container assembly includes a tubular container which is shaped to define an interior cavity into which the supply of mascara is stored. A funnel is disposed within an open neck in the container and includes a rigid member and a flexible member which together define an orifice. A button slidably disposed in the container can be manually depressed so as to urge against the flexible member of the funnel. Accordingly, depression of the button regulates the size of the funnel orifice through which the applicator passes and, in turn, the amount of mascara which is retained onto the applicator upon removal from the container assembly.

Abstract: A storage container of a coating tool can effectively prevent a coating liquid from sticking to a handle member of the coating tool. The storage container for storing the coating tool comprises a holding container for containing the coating tool and a closure member for closing the holding container with the coating tool contained in the holding container. The coating tool is provided with a handle to be used by the user to hold the coating tool, and the closure member is provided with an opening that allows the handle to pass through. When the holding container is closed by means of the closure member with the coating tool stored in the holding container, the handle of the coating tool projects outward through the opening.

Abstract: A little bottle (11) with a cap (10) which can be mounted via a screw-type cap has an integrated brush (12) for removing the mainly liquid contents of the little bottle. In order to be able to mainly remove the entire contents from the little bottle in a simple way with the integrated brush, it has been planned that, in combination, the brush (12) in the cap (10) is held in such a way that it can be moved in axial direction, and the interior space (15) of the little bottle (11) has a hollow (30) near the bottom of the little bottle (19), which is at least partially opposite to the free end of the removal element (12).

Abstract: An applicator assembly for cosmetic liquids, in particular a mascara tester, is provided with a container for holding the cosmetic liquid, a closure cap for the container and a wiper for the cosmetic liquid, which lodges in the neck of the container. In an intermediate stage of manufacture of the applicator assembly, the wiper is detachably mounted on the closure cap. In a subsequent stage of manufacture, upon insertion of the closure cap into the container neck, the wiper is durably fixed there.

Abstract: A personal hygiene device for moistening tissue (in particular toilet tissue) utilizes a fluid container having a fluid dispensing attachment to apply fluid onto tissue. The hygiene device is held in an inverted position by a bracket, with the bracket typically mounted on a wall or fixture adjacent to a tissue holder. The hygiene device consists of a fluid container, a cap, a sponge pad, and a dispensing cover. The fluid container acts as a refillable reservoir for the fluid and the cap has holes in the end to allow fluid discharge to the sponge pad from the fluid container. The dispensing cover encloses the cap and sponge, securing them to the fluid container. The dispensing cover has multiple orifices in the end and when activated by depressing with tissue, the dispensing cover slides on the cap thereby compressing the sponge pad.

Abstract: A cosmetics container for storing and applying a product has a bottle having a neck defining a neck opening to an interior product cavity, the neck having threads on the exterior thereof. A neck insert is mounted in the neck opening, the neck insert including a side wall substantially conforming to the neck opening and providing access to the product cavity. The neck insert includes a dispenser wall deployed between the neck opening and the product cavity and the dispenser wall has at least one supply opening. A cap has interior threads for removably securing the cap on the bottle in a closed position by interengaging the threads on the neck. The cap having a stem extending into the neck insert and an applicator pad mounted to the distal end of the stem. The threads of the neck and the threads of the cap configured to support the cap on the neck prior to threaded engagement of the threads with the applicator pad spaced from the dispenser wall to define a dosing space therebetween.

Abstract: A carrying assembly comprises a base, a shaft with a handle securely attached to the base, a first funnel and a second funnel (if required) connected to the shaft by an attaching member, a first dauber assembly, and a second dauber assembly. The combination of these parts creates a liquid carrying assembly that allows a user to transfer the liquid in its container from place to place and also allows the user to be able to quickly apply the liquid where ever desired without run-offs of the liquid and, after the user has finished with the use of the liquid, allows for an air-tight seal of the liquid in its container by a frictional force between the dauber assemblies and their funnels to prevent evaporation of the liquid.

Abstract: A cosmetic applicator which has an array of independent discs which compress during withdrawal from a container so that excess product can be removed from the applicator by a wiper. After passage through the wiper, the discs return to their expanded position by the action of a spring. The compressing of the discs during withdrawal allows a controlled amount of product to remain on the applicator for application by the consumer, and the returning of the discs to their expanded position by the spring causes the discs to assume a configuration which allows the applicator to effectively comb and separate the eyelashes.

Abstract: A bottle/cap assembly with sweep-and-drain action includes a bottle, a cap and a sweep-and-drain mechanism. The bottle has in series, from the bottom to the top, a closed bottom, a body sidewall, a cylindrical neck sidewall, and an open top. The cap is configured and dimensioned to be rotatably received about the neck sidewall and includes a closed cap top to close the open top and prevent egress of liquid from within the bottle. The sweep-and-drain mechanism includes (i) a circumferentially spaced plurality of vertically extending grooves or slots in the bottle extending downwardly from the open top through said neck sidewall, and (ii) a circumferentially spaced plurality of radially extending vanes or wipers projecting downwardly from the closed cap top towards the open top.

Abstract: A mascara applicator includes a brush attached to a wand which is preformed with a predetermined bend angle which presents the brush in an offset orientation that makes it easier and more convenient to apply mascara to eyelashes. In a first embodiment, the wand is a narrow gauge wire or tube of a shape memory alloy which is characterized by pseudo-elasticity, and the wire or tube is deformed by a predetermined longitudinal bend angle in its relaxed memory recovery state. In an alternative embodiment, the wand includes link segments of a narrow gauge rod or tube of relatively stiff plastic material. At least two of the segments are joined together by a living hinge section which permits the wand to flex preferentially at the living hinge in response to a bending force. The living hinge is also characterized by flex memory recovery in which it automatically assumes a predetermined bend angle in the absence of a bending force.

Abstract: A container for dispensing a viscous agent. The container includes a lid with an upper planar surface having an opening therein. A prophylactic sheath depends from the opening and has an extendable body, a normally open interior and end opening which defines a mouth region. The mouth region is affixed to the lid in proximity to the border of the lid opening. The user can insert one or more fingers within the end opening to extend the sheath for dispensing a viscous agent from the body of the container during use. The sheath can also be afixed to an insert which is installed within the mouth opening of the container.

Abstract: A self cleaning dip in package is disclosed. The package includes a vial having an opening through which a user may access liquid stored within the vial. The opening is defined by an inner wall of the vial which provides access to the contents of the package. The package also includes an applicator adapted for insertion within the open end of the vial to access the liquid stored within the vial, wherein the applicator is coupled to a handle and the handle is selectively coupled to the vial for storing the liquid within the vial. The package further includes a first wiper coupled within the opening of the vial such that the applicator is wiped of excess liquid when the applicator is withdrawn from within the vial and a second wiper coupled to the handle such that the second wiper wipes the inner wall of the open end of the vial as the applicator is inserted into the vial. A process for filling the package and a venting system are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention is related to a durable foam tipped applicator that can absorb and retain fluids easily. The foam material used to make the applicator tip may be used in both water-based and solvent-based fluids. A wiper insert may be used to remove excess liquid from the applicator during removal from a reservoir of fluid. A lip at the mouth of the wiper insert can redirect excess fluid into the reservoir.

Abstract: An extendable applicator is disclosed for reaching the contents of the lowermost portion of a bottle. The extendable applicator has an upper pushbutton cap that moves up and down within a base cap member and to which an applicator brush is attached. An insert base is arranged within the lower portion of the base cap and has a flat upper surface that, together with the flat bottom of the upper pushbutton cap, supports a coil spring. The insert base also has a hole for the applicator brush to fit through. Finally, the extendable applicator includes a threaded piece for attachment of the extendable applicator to an externally threaded bottle. The applicator brush optionally contains a clear plastic cap to cover the upper pushbutton cap and a lip is provided on the upper external surface of the base cap to accommodate the clear plastic cap.

Abstract: A container and a related brush for applying mascara are disclosed. A sleeve (3) with a non-circular opening (4) is freely rotatably mounted in the neck (2) of the container (1), and a brush (8) with a non-circular cross-section matching the shape of the opening (4) is supported by a rod (6) that also has a non-circular cross-section and is shaped to fit said opening (4). The rod is attached to a cap (5) thus enabling the brush (8) to be inserted into the neck (2) of the container (1) and withdrawn therefrom in such a way that excess mascara is effectively scraped off the brush (8) at the opening (4) of the sleeve (3). Mascara may thus be applied accurately to the eyelashes alone.

Abstract: A cosmetic applicator for use with a standard cosmetic container includes a cylindrical cap having an open end around the inner periphery of which is a threaded portion for threadedly engaging a cosmetic container. An aperture is disposed on the opposing closed end for slidably receiving a button. An elongated stem protrudes from the cap having an applicator portion at a distal end. The opposing end of the stem has a conical stop member attached thereto which abuts the button. A second rubber stop member surrounds the stem and is proximal the cap open end for engaging a cosmetic container neck opening. On the upper surface of the second stop member is an annulus. Disposed between the annulus and the first stop member and surrounding the stem is a coil spring for biasing the stem upwardly when the button is depressed.

The partition includes an aperture which forms a passage between the enclosed chamber in the cap and the interior of the bottle. Rotating the cap for assembly to the bottle will place this passage in an unoccluded condition. As the bottle is inverted or shaken prior to use, the fluid contents of the bottle will travel through the passage and into the enclosed chamber in the cap. As the cap is rotated for removal from the bottle, a valve element will occlude the passage, trapping the fluid in the cap. Squeezing the cap to deform the sidewalls will force the fluid through a narrow bore in a supply stem leading to a dispensing tip.

Abstract: The present invention provides a combined package comprising a container and a mascara applicator. The applicator includes a hollow shaft having a longitudinal axis extending from the handle. A rod having a brush affixed at one end reciprocates within the hollow shaft. The rod has a first position and a second position such that when the handle of the applicator is secured to the container the rod reciprocates to the first position extending the hinge beyond the hollow shaft such that the brush is substantially non-aligned with the longitudinal axis of the hollow shaft. Upon removal of the applicator from the container the rod reciprocates to the second position causing the hinge to retract within the hollow shaft, thereby substantially aligning the brush with the longitudinal axis of the hollow shaft. This combined package allows the user to stir the product within the container when both attaching and removing the applicator to and from the container.

Abstract: An applicator element and a cap are adapted to be mounted on a neck provided on an upper part of a container. The cap is mounted on the neck by a capsule carrying the applicator element and capable of directly ensuring closure of the container by the cooperation of a first screw thread provided on an inner surface of the capsule with a corresponding second screw thread provided externally on the neck of the container. The capsule also carries a seal adapted to cooperate with an edge of the neck when the capsule is placed on the container in the closed position. The cap is mounted on the capsule and connected to the capsule by a screw-type connection in the same direction as that of the first and second threads. The connection between the cap and the capsule offers less resistance than that between the capsule and the neck of the container.

The rods are joined at a location spaced from both ends of the second rod. Bristles are located on both sides of that junction. The second rod is curved within a plane oriented perpendicular to a plane containing the first rod. The first rod comprises inner and outer sections oriented at a right angle to one another. Alternatively, the first rod could be curved.

Abstract: An applicator for fluid products includes a bottle enclosed by a cap having a partition defining in the cap an enclosed chamber. The partition includes an aperture which forms a passage between the enclosed chamber in the cap and the interior of the bottle. Rotating the cap for assembly to the bottle will place this passage in an unoccluded condition. As the bottle is inverted or shaken prior to use, the fluid contents of the bottle will travel through the passage and into the enclosed chamber in the cap. As the cap is rotated for removal from the bottle, a valve element will occlude the passage, trapping the fluid in the cap. Squeezing the cap to deform the sidewalls will force the fluid through a narrow bore in a supply stem leading to a dispensing tip.

Abstract: An applicator brush for use in applying various liquids such as nail polish, glue, paste, liquid paper, etc., is designed for securement to bottles of the type having an externally threaded neck portion. A tubular cylindrical member has internal threads dimensioned for engagement with the externally threaded bottle neck portion and additionally is provided with external threads having a pair of axially extending diametrically opposed gaps. A hollow cylindrical cap member has a pair of diametrically opposed radially inwardly extending axially aligned lugs dimensioned for engagement with the external threads of the tubular cylindrical member and for axial sliding movement within the axially extending gaps. An elongated applicator shaft terminating in an applicator brush is secured to the cap member and extends centrally therethrough for insertion into the interior of the bottle.
