Abstract: A cosmetic brush system for applying a product to a surface is disclosed. The cosmetic brush system may include a displaceable cap coupled to a handle and a group of bristles fixed to one end of the handle. The displaceable cap may be slideably or peelably coupled to the handle. The handle may include ballast to position a centroid of the cosmetic brush closer to the end of the handle. In embodiments where the displaceable cap is a slideable cap, an end cap may be fixed to the end of the handle and the slideable cap and the end cap may form a uniform elongated cylindrical shape having the same outer diameter. The displaceable cap may also include a ventilation system. By virtue of having a displaceable cap permanently coupled to the handle of the cosmetic brush system, the user cannot misplace the cap and the system is portable and convenient.

Abstract: A unitary hand-held, single-use liquid dispenser and applicator is disclosed. A squeezable handle also serves as a reservoir for liquid. A non-forming thermoplastic film seals liquid within the reservoir. Novel weaknesses in the film can be broken on demand to create an opening for liquid to freely flow onto an absorbent pad. A user can thus dispense and apply the liquid without ever touching the liquid or the surface with his hands.

Abstract: A hand-held dispensing applicator comprising a fluid source, a frangible applicator tip attached to the fluid source, and an absorbent member attached to the frangible applicator tip is provided. When the frangible applicator tip is broken, fluid flows from the source to the absorbent member, whereby the fluid is applied and spread on a surface. Preferably, the frangible applicator tip comprises a support element permanently connected to the fluid source, a relatively rigid tongue element extending outwardly of the support element, and a frangible region there between. Preferably, the tongue element comprises ribs for reinforcing the tongue element to resist unintentional breaking of the frangible region. More preferably, the applicator tip comprises a semi-permeable or non-permeable cover disposed around the frangible region to control the speed and direction of the dispersion of the fluid in the absorbent member.
