Abstract: A structure for mounting a clip for a writing implement which has a barrel extending along a longitudinal axis. The structure includes a fastening member made of plastic material integral with the barrel and having a proximal wall and a distal wall with respect to the barrel, the proximal and distal walls being arranged opposite each other and overall extending in substantially parallel respective planes in order to form between them a recess having an open insertion end. The clip includes a fastening portion having a substantially uniform thickness and is suitable for mounting in the recess by the open insertion end.

Abstract: A writing implement that includes a writing body extending from an end; a writing tip integral with the writing body, and a removable cap that covers the writing tip in a coupled position of the cap with the writing body, the cap having a bottom, a tubular wall that extends along a central axis between a first end that joins with the bottom and a second end that defines an axial opening, the tubular wall has an inner surface on which protrusions are capable of holding the cap by engagement with the writing body in the coupled position, where the inner surface of the cap has at least one groove arranged between two of the protrusions and extends to the second end of the tubular wall.

Abstract: In general, this disclosure relates to a pen housing mechanism, comprising at least one locking collar provided on a pen body configured to receive a pen cap, specifically a pen cap having a plurality of inset “balls” that engage channels within the locking collar. In one form, the “balls” are fit into voids drilled or otherwise provided in a portion of the pen cap and press fit, or otherwise attached, thereto. In one form, a compression spring is provided, which biases the “balls” into a locking portion of the channel.

Abstract: The outer surface of an inner cap 3 is fixedly secured to the inner surface of an outer cap 4. In the opened end portion of the inner cap 3, there is formed a rear end shell portion 31 which projects backwardly. On the outer peripheral surface of the rear end shell portion 31, there is provided a ring-shaped outward facing seal portion. In the front end portion of a barrel 6, there is formed a front end shell portion 61 projecting forwardly. In the inner peripheral surface of the front end shell portion 61, there is formed a ring-shaped inward facing seal portion. When a cap 2 is mounted on the pen tip 8 side of the barrel 6, the outward facing seal portion can be closely contacted with the inward facing seal portion in the radial direction.

When, with a rear barrel for accommodating the ink tank removably fitted on the ink tank, a cap formed to cover the front barrel is fitted on the front barrel, the cap is positioned and fastened by abutment of the opening end of the cap. The cap has a hollow for accommodating a point assembly. The inside diameter of the hollow exceeds the outside diameter of the front barrel and the outside diameter of a rear end of the rear barrel. A barrel hold is formed along the circumference on the inner wall portion of the cap, so that the barrel hold grips the outer periphery of the rear end of the rear barrel. A guide portion is formed on the inner wall portion of the cap, closer to the front side than the barrel hold, to restrain over insertion of the rear end of the rear barrel into the cap.

The open end of the inner cylinder portion extends rearwardly of the connection ribs, the inner cylinder portion seals the pen tip when the cap is fitted on a pen tip side of the writing instrument body and an annular seal portion which is closely contact with an annular airtight portion on the pen tip side of the writing instrument body is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the open end portion of the inner cylinder portion.

Abstract: A cap positioning construction for positioning and mounting a cap to a barrel, includes a triangular notch formed in a step face of a barrel on which the end of a cap abuts, and a triangular extension formed at the end of the cap. The triangular extension extends toward the notch and matches the notch 12e. By fitting the extension in the notch, the cap is positioned relative to the barrel when the cap is mounted on the barrel.

Abstract: The writing instrument includes a cap and a barrel. The cap includes threads which engage the threads on the barrel. In addition, the cap includes protrusions which engage protrusions on the barrel. The threads are designed so that the cap will engage the stop surface in approximately one third of a revolution. When the protrusions move past each other, the user perceives a tactile and/or audible indication. This indication advises the user that the cap has been fully attached to the barrel. In addition, the cap includes ribs on the exterior surface to assist the user in grasping the cap and in rotating the cap.

Abstract: A writing implement having a cap member is provided and is a direct-flow type (liquid ink type) writing implement including: a barrel cylinder; a holder holding a pen core at a front end of the barrel cylinder and further having inside the barrel cylinder, an ink tank for storing a liquid ink and a collector for temporary retention thereof. The collector, barrel cylinder and ink tank are formed of a clear, transparent material. A mouthpiece at the outer periphery of the holder is formed of a resin material having the same color as the ink held in the ink tank or having the same color as the written ink. The barrel cylinder may have a partition wall, positioned near to the center, on the side (rear side) opposite to the position where the collector is arranged, forming an ink tank in a space inside the barrel between the rear end plate of the collector and the partition wall.

Abstract: A cap assembly of a writing brush comprises a cap having a top opening, first and second circumferential recesses located below and adjacent to the top opening; and a collapsable sleeve having first and second end holes with first and second circumferential projections formed therearound respectively. The first projection is engaged with the first recess and the second projection is engaged with the second recess for permitting the point of the writing brush to insert into the cap in a first position. The second projection is extended toward the opening until covering and securing around handle of the writing brush for sealing the point of the writing brush within the cap and the sleeve in a second position.

Abstract: A writing device cap comprises a cylindrical outer housing having a first open end, a second closed end and an axial channel. A plug is inserted in the outer housing second closed end. A moveable inner cone located within the cylindrical outer housing receives a tip of a writing device and seals it from the ambient atmosphere. A spring surrounds the inner cone and facilitates it movement. A plurality of radially disposed ridges are arranged along an inner circumference of the outer housing along the axial channel. Multiple sets of shoulders are disposed upon the ridges. A first set of shoulders provides a stop for a body trunk of the writing device and a means to locate the inner cone when the spring is in a relaxed state. A second set of shoulders locates a fixed end of the spring. A third set provides a means for locking the plug within the outer housing. A latch mechanism holds the writing device in the cap when the spring is in a compressed state.

Abstract: An applicator, especially for applying nail varnish, is associated with a closing cap with a reservoir for keeping the coating member moist. Located in the closing cap is a closing element which, when the closing cap is pulled off the applicator, closes the space containing the reservoir in order to prevent the reservoir from drying out.

Abstract: A modular writing instrument cap system is disclosed, in which each individual cap comprises an elongated tubular portion having an open end and a closed end. Near the closed end the cap is internally provided with a seal member adapted to seal with a writing instrument holding quick-drying ink. Near the open end, the tubular portion is internally provided with a catch for removably securing the cap on a writing instrument. Externally on the closed end, the cap is provided with a transversely-oriented open ended tubular barrel. The barrel is configured to receive an internally threaded sleeve, terminator rings and screws which thread towards one another through the rings into the opposite ends of the sleeve in order to hold the assembly together and secure a bail to it. The ends of the barrel and corresponding ends of the terminator rings are cooperatively notched to accommodate the legs of the bail.

Abstract: A closure cap for a writing instrument such as a ink pen and the like has an outer generally cylindrical cap housing within which is a sealing sleeve having a closed end to close one end of the cap housing. A slide sleeve of a hard rigid material is retained against axial movement within the sealing sleeve. A closure member of a soft resilient durable material is axially slideable within the slide sleeve and is acted upon by spring means which may include a helical spring or axially extending resilient strips.
