In response to moving the cap body relative to the cap liner in a first direction, the resilient member slidably engages the coupling protrusion and moves to an energized position. Continued movement of the cap body relative to the cap liner causes the resilient member to urge the cap body in the first direction.

A processor analyzes the images of the human skin to identify skin deviations. A sealing assembly includes a support portion and a resiliently deformable sealing element supported by the support portion at a location within the applicator head. The sealing assembly has a closed configuration where the sealing element is sealed against the nozzle and an open configuration where the sealing element is removed outward away from the nozzle in a composition delivery direction to expose the nozzle for operation.

A cap of the assembly has a projection, which is removably received within the protective tip for sealing engagement with the proximal and distal seals to define a fluid reservoir within the protective tip. An activating fluid is contained within the fluid reservoir. The projection may be partially hollow to receive a portion of the catheter. The sleeve may be relatively narrow or at least have a narrowed portion for better distribution of activating fluid to the surface of the catheter.

The process includes placing a capillary precursor element (CPE) between two opposing flexible films. The flexible films define a common peripheral edge. The CPE comprises an array of pins sandwiched between two opposing polymeric strips. The process includes positioning a first side of the CPE at a first side of the common peripheral edge and positioning a second side of the CPE at a second side of the common peripheral edge. The process includes first sealing, at a first seal condition, (i) the opposing polymeric strips to each other to form a matrix, and (ii) sealing the matrix to the two opposing flexible films. The process includes removing the array of pins from the matrix to form an in situ microcapillary strip.
