Abstract: A cupsole, that a user wears and is fixed to a foot sole plate of a walking assistance apparatus that assists a motion of a leg part of the user, includes: a main body part on which the user's foot is placed; and an index member that is fixed to the main body part and is configured to determine an attachment position with respect to a reference index provided in the foot sole plate, the attachment position varying for each user, in which the index member can be attached to or detached from the main body part.

Abstract: A cover (10) is disclosed for holding objects such as papers and reports. The cover (10) is formed of a member (20) having a front cover (22), a spine (24) and a back cover (26). A first portion (32) and a second portion (38) are folded over to encapsulate a prong fastener (12). The second portion (38) is then fastened to the back cover (26) with adhesive tape (58). The first and second portions (32, 38) can be part of a fastener assembly (70) having a third portion (72) that is secured to the inner surface (62) of the back cover (26). In a modification, a flap (128) can be hinged to the side of the back cover (126).

Abstract: A prong style file fastener, and method of manufacturer, is disclosed which has a protective element to prevent damage to paper documents and personal injury. In one embodiment, the prongs of the fastener is covered with a heat shrinkable sheath. In another, the prongs are overcoated with a powder coating which is melted thereon.

Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a filing device which includes simplified binding elements for removably binding a plurality of folder bags of a synthetic resin, and allows for easy attachment of the binding elements to a file cover thereof. The filing device comprises: a file cover including a front cover portion, a back cover portion, and aspine provided between the front and back cover portions; and a binding member fixed onto an inner side of the spine of the file cover and including an elongated base plate, a plurality of binding elements provided parallel to each other at predetermined intervals along the length of the base plate on an inner side of the base plate as projecting perpendicularly to the base plate, and hooks extending outwardly from longitudinally opposite ends of the base plate and bent into a U-shape so as to be hooked onto longitudinally opposite ends of the spine of the file cover.

Each of two sides of the compressor has a second flange folded toward a bottom surface of the compressor so as to define a rounded side.

Abstract: A file having a polypropyrene base sheet and a fastener assembly that includes a polypropyrene base member thermally bonded to the polypropyrene base sheet. A relatively thin polypropyrene sheet, such as a polypropyrene sheet having a thickness of about 0.3 mm or less, is sturdy and is used, thus securing a large mechanical strength to support the fastener assembly. The polypropyrene base member is bonded to a relatively thin polypropyrene base sheet by an ultrasonic bonding. The ultrasonic bonding achieves a strong connection between the polypropyrene member and the relatively thin polypropyrene sheet.

Abstract: An expanding file includes an upper cover, a bottom cover and a plurality of plates which are disposed between the upper cover and the bottom cover. A flexible connecting member connects each pair of adjacent upper cover plates and bottom cover. A fastener binder which has a base portion having two ends is fixedly attached to at least one of the upper cover and the bottom cover by way of ultrasonic welding. Deformable extension parts extend from each of the two ends of the base portion such that a document can be securely positioned in the expanding file by extending the two extension parts through holes defined in the document and then pressing the extension parts toward the document.

Abstract: A cover for holding multiple pages containing transcribed oral testimony and exhibits mentioned in those transcript pages. The cover comprises front, center and back panels that are joined by means of hinges. The front panel is arranged to swing from a stored position overlying the center panel to an open position. The cover is also provided with an attachment device located between the front and center panels for securing the transcript pages therein. The attachment device enables a reader to swing multiple transcript pages from a position overlying the center panel to a position overlying the cover panel when the cover panel is in the open position. The back panel is arranged to swing from a stored position wherein the back panel is in overlying relationship with the center panel to an open position. The back panel also comprises a binding means secured thereto which is arranged for securing exhibits within the cover.

Abstract: A folder for use with a metal binder having an elongate body portion and a prong extending from each end thereof includes a front cover sheet. A rear cover sheet is pivotally connected to the front cover sheet and has a pair of spaced openings defined therein. An adhesive layer is arranged on an operatively outer side of the rear cover sheet, between the openings.

Abstract: A filing strip is of a bendable material. The filing strip has a central elongate anchor strip and a prong extending from each end of the strip. Each prong has a tip portion and an intermediate portion. Each tip portion is narrower than its adjacent intermediate portion. The invention extends to a filing accessory for use with the filing strip, The accessory includes a pair of elongate members. A socket defining element is arranged on an end of each member. Each socket has internal dimensions complementary to the tip portion of the prong and external dimensions which are substantially equal to external dimensions of the intermediate portion of the prong. The invention also extends to a filing accessory for use with a filing strip having a pair of opposed prongs. With this accessory a free end of each socket defining element is chamfered.

Abstract: A file folder and fastener combination wherein the folder has a major flap along one edge of the folder and a pair of spaced, colinearly aligned, elongated minor flaps formed in said folder or major flap and separated by a medial portion of the folder or major flap. The fastener has a central body portion overlying one surface of the medial portion of the folder or major flap. Elongated prongs extend from opposite ends of the central body portion of the fastener and overlie the minor flaps of the folder or major flap on the opposite surface of the folder or major flap from the surface upon which the central portion of the fastener is located. The major flap of the folder is folded against the folder and secured thereto so as to sandwich the central portion of the fastener between the folder and the major flap. Alternatively, instead of a major flap formed on one edge of the folder, the central body portion of the fastener may be covered by a separate strip of material.

Abstract: A file folder and fastener combination wherein the folder has a pair of spaced, colinearly aligned, elongated slots separated by a medial portion of the folder and the fastener has a central body portion overlying and attached to the medial portion of the folder and with elongated prongs of the fastener overlying the slots. The folder has a cover over the central portion of the fastener such that the central portion of the fastener will not hang up on and damage adjacent file folders when multiple file folders are filed in a common file cabinet.

Abstract: A file cover has paper-penetrating prongs which are secured in the assembly by engagement with a mounting channel and at least one of which is slidable along the channel whereby the spacing between them is infinitesimally adjustable. A retainer for each prong is preferably an apertured block borne by a parallel channel member, at least one of the blocks being slidably movable in the parallel channel member.

Abstract: A flexible paper fastener of the type having a flexible plastic tubular member flattened at its midportion, a stiff keeper having friction locks engaging opposite end portions of the tubular member, and a stiff U-shaped bridge releasably engaged in the ends of the tubular member is heat sealed along its midportion to a plastic laminated pressure sensitive adhesive sheet for mounting on a support.
