The sheet protector includes a first cover having a hole configured to receive the ring, a second cover coupled to the first cover along a first edge and a second edge and uncoupled to the first cover along at least a portion of a third edge and at least a portion of a fourth edge, and a tab coupled to the second cover proximate to the third edge. The tab is configured to engage the ring.

Abstract: A receiving bag held by a hook-type folder comprises a bag, an opening and at least one notch. The bag has a receiving space. The opening is positioned at an upper side of the bag and communicating with the receiving space. At least one notch is positioned at an inner side of the bag and communicating with the receiving space. When the bag is held by the folder, the upper side of the bag and an under side of the bag are positioned outside folder's hooks. The lengths of the bag aren't restricted by the hooks.

Abstract: This invention relates to an inner-page structure of a document file, mainly comprising a plurality of inner pages which may be document bags or bags for receiving optical disks etc. A projecting rib is provided at one side of the inner pages with respect to a retaining seat of the document file. The projecting rib has an engaging portion provided on the outer end for engagement with a groove of the retaining seat when the projecting rib is fittingly inserted into the groove of the retaining seat. In this manner, the inner page can be directly fixed with the retaining seat so as to enhance the entire operation performance.

Abstract: An improved album leaf and system for displaying, storing and retrieving images. The album leaf comprises a first side and a second side, the first side having a plurality of images formed thereon, and an icon for identifying the images on the first side and the source from which the images originated. A binder may include a plurality of the album leaves having a plurality of retaining means, for example, pockets for holding items containing the original source from which the images displayed in the album leaf originated. A separate source retaining leaf may be provided having holding means for retaining the original source from which the images displayed on the album leaf originated.

Abstract: A safety system for children at a social function includes a plurality of guest tags having blank spaces for providing the name of a child that is a guest at the social function, the name of a predetermined parent or other trusted adult responsible for the care of the child who may be contacted in the event of an emergency and/or take custody of the child at the time the child leaves the social function, and contact information of the parent or other trusted adult who may be contacted in the event of an emergency. The system allows a host of a social function for children to keep track of the attendees, identify any missing or unaccounted for children, and facilitates rapid notification of a parent or other trusted adult responsible for care of the child guest in the event of an emergency.

Abstract: Plates having a predetermined pattern are provided in each frame, side by side, at certain intervals along the longitudinal direction of the frame. A plurality of positioning holes, into which pins are inserted, are formed in each frame. A retainer portion is provided so as to extend from the inner periphery of each positioning hole and is plastically deformed when a pin is inserted thereinto. By inserting a pin into each positioning hole while a plurality of frames are stacked, the outer periphery of the pin contacts the retainer portion of each positioning hole. The retainer portion is deformed to correct misalignment among a plurality of plates.

Abstract: The present invention provides a page for binding in an album. The page includes a blank, printer paper sheet and a hinge strip mounted along an edge of the printer paper sheet, the hinge strip including a flexible line for allowing the hinge strip to bend along the flexible line and a portion for binding to an album. The paper sheet and the hinge strip are adapted to go through a printer together to provide a ready-to-bind printed page.

Abstract: A pocket device for papers or the like includes a major panel and a pocket panel attached to the inner surface of the major panel to define a pocket between the major panel and the pocket panel. The pocket panel has a secured edge along which the pocket panel is attached to the major panel. The pocket panel also has a free edge along which the pocket panel is unattached to the major panel so that the free edge is moveable away from the major panel to allow one or more papers to be inserted into the pocket. The free edge of the pocket panel is disposed next to the secured edge and extends transversely of the secured edge. The pocket panel has a stress relief area for reducing and minimizing tearing of the pocket panel. The stress relief area located along the free edge proximate to the secured edge.

Abstract: A method of preparing a sheet of material for bending along a bend line includes the step of forming at least one displacement in the thickness direction of the sheet of material, the displacement including a flat zone substantially parallel to the sheet of material with a portion of the periphery of the flat zone extending along and adjacent to the bend line, and including an angled transition zone interconnecting the flat zone with a remainder of the sheet of material. The forming step is preferably accomplished using one of a stamping process, a punching process, a roll-forming process and an embossing process. A sheet of material suitable for bending using the process also is disclosed, as are the use of coatings, shin guards and displacing the area of the sheet between bending inducing slits.

Abstract: A notebook insert that includes a housing including a first rigid substantially flat plate having a first set of a plurality of spaced holes formed therethrough a first side thereof. The first set of holes is adapted for engagement with the rings of a ringed notebook. The first rigid flat plate further has a second set of a plurality of spaced, stepped holes formed therethrough a second side thereof. The housing further includes an opening in a central portion thereof and a plurality of spaced hinges. The hinges are located on a side edge of the central portion defined by the opening. A second rigid plate has a first side hingedly connected via the spaced hinges to the first rigid plate. The second plate has a shape substantially matching the shape of the central opening so when the second rigid plate is in a stowed position it may be supported within the central opening. The second plate includes spaced projections formed on an upper surface thereof.

Abstract: Sheet Lifter for use with multi ring sheet or page holders and multi ring binders. The Device is made from a thin ridged panel with a plurality of notches and slots. The Device is positioned in order to interact with the rings and binder spine of the page holder or binder. The Device rests on the spine with the pages or sheets resting on the Device. The Device prevents the pages or sheets from traveling past the maximum horizontal diameter point of the rings when the holder or binder is fully opened. When the holder or binder is closed the Device creates sufficient upward pressure against the pages or sheets to return them to their closed position at the maximum vertical diameter point of the rings. The pressure required is minimal.

Abstract: A method and an article for arranging and storing a page or presentation that is in progress comprising the steps of placing at least one page on a magnetic substrate, wherein the magnetic substrate is sized to receive the at least one page; arranging at least one page-element onto the at least one page; and placing at least one magnet onto the at least one page-element to hold the at least one element in place. An additional aspect of the embodiment comprises the step of covering the at least one page that is in progress. Yet another aspect of the embodiment comprises the step of storing the magnetic substrate with the at least one page and at least one page-element until the at least one page is completed at a later time.

Abstract: The present invention provides an incentive for buying a ring binder or a spiral notebook. The incentive is provided by having the binder or notebook include one or more internal folded sheets, preferably in the form of poster panels, which may be disposed within the binder or notebook and thereafter removed and, in the case of multiple sheets, unfolded for display separate from the binder or notebook. The poster panel or panels may coordinate with artwork on the cover of the binder or notebook.

Abstract: A cosmetics planner insert, in some embodiments, includes a cosmetics device and an insert strip having a connector side and a binder side. The connector side is for connecting the insert strip to the cosmetics device, and the binder side is for removably inserting the cosmetics planner insert into a cosmetics planner. In some embodiments, the connector side removably connects the insert strip to the cosmetics device. In some embodiments, the connector side hingedly connects the insert strip to the cosmetics device.

Abstract: A shadow box scrapbook page adapted to hold and secure three-dimensional objects for storage and display. The page includes a binder portion having openings to receive standard rings or posts common to binders, and a frame device, having a front, back and side, top and bottom sections, defining a cavity. The front is generally transparent for the viewing of the stored objects.

Abstract: An index tab adapter, suitable for retrofitting an existing file folder for use with a particular index tab style. The adapter has adhesive portions, located on either side of a non-adhesive portion. The non-adhesive portion is slotted and is spaced apart from the file folder. The slots are shaped to engage a particular style of index tab, so that when a given index tab is inserted into the slots in the adapter, the given index tab becomes attached to the file folder, and the file folder may be identified by the given index tab as if it were originally configured to accept the style of the given index tab. Put another way, an index tab removably engages slots in the adapter, rather than slots in the file folder itself.

Abstract: A divider element formed of a sheet member adapted to be removably coupled to a binding element of a coil bound notebook. The divider element includes a plurality of preferably T-shaped connector elements defining a narrow cut region and coil receiving aperture therebetween. Coil portions of a binding element may pass through the cut region into and out of the coil receiving aperture. The divider element is formed of a deformable material such the connector elements are adapted to be flexed out of the plane of the sheet member without substantial bending or breakage of the connector elements. The divider element may engage the coil portions of a binding element without significant manipulation of the connector elements by way of selectively urging the coil portions of a bound notebook in a direction parallel to the binding element axis.

Abstract: A document storage apparatus for safely storing photographs or other documents includes a first transparent sheet and a second sheet attached to the first transparent sheet along a water or air tight seal. The water or air tight seal defines a pocket between the first transparent sheet and the second sheet and that has an open end. A water or air tight adherent is disposed between the first transparent sheet and the second sheet and across the open end of the pocket, and is adapted to selectively adhere the first sheet to the second sheet to thereby allow the pocket to be sealed in a water or air tight fashion. An attachment section can be disposed along a side of the first and second sheet and can be adapted to mount the storage apparatus within a container.

Abstract: A binder including a binder body including a front cover and a rear cover directly or indirectly pivotally coupled together, and a panel located on an outer surface of the binder body to thereby form a pocket between the panel and the binder body. The panel has a free edge located adjacent to a mouth of the pocket. The mouth faces an outer edge of the binder body, and the free edge of the panel is located a variable distance from the outer edge of the binder body along the length of the free edge such that the pocket has a variable width.

Abstract: A three-dimensional page protector comprising a pocket defining a partially-enclosed space, where that pocket comprises a first length, a first width, a height, and a first side. The three-dimensional page protector further includes a longitudinal edge continuously attached to the first side of the pocket, where that longitudinal edge has the first length and a second width, where the first width is greater than said second width, and where the longitudinal edge is formed to include one or more through-bores.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing folder sheets with reinforce holes, which comprises unwinding a spindled paper band; printing predetermined graphics on the paper band; causing the paper band to go through corona treatment; applying a reinforcement strip of thermoplastic material to selected areas of the paper band; cutting the printed and partially reinforced paper band in a direction substantially perpendicular to one edge of the paper band in such a fashion as to form a plurality of paper strips each having an elongated reinforced edge area; layering and counting the paper strips until they reach a predetermined number; punching the paper strips in the reinforced edge area in accordance with a predetermined pattern; cutting the punched paper strips in a direction substantially perpendicular to the direction of the first cutting to form a plurality of folder sheets; counting and piling the folder sheets to form a block until they reach a predetermined number; and packaging and boxing the folder sheet blocks.

Abstract: A label applicator kit comprising a holder including first holding means for holding a first set of tabbed materials such that the tabs of the first set are staggered, exposed and in a first line and a second holding means for holding a second set of tabbed materials such that the tabs of the second set are staggered, exposed and in a second line that is parallel to and spaced from the first line. The holder being a pouch, the first holding means being a first pocket of the pouch and the second holding means being a second pocket of the pouch. Abstract: A storage system for holding entertainment-content storage devices such as CDs comprises one or more pages that are combined to form a book of pages, where each of the pages is adapted to store a plurality of such storage device, as well as associated descriptive matter media, such as pictures booklets, etc. More particularly, at least one side of each page includes a plurality of distinct places for inserting and, thereby storing, the storage devices, and physically proximate means for storing descriptive matter media. In one embodiment, for example, the places for inserting and storing storage devices in each page comprises four generally circular cavities having their centers lying on a circle that is centered on a page, and a covering that partially covers the circular cavities. Each circular cavity is dimensioned to hold a CD (or DVD) and the partial covering of the circular cavity is adapted to insure that a CD will rest securely in the circular cavity.

The image product includes a first support substrate having a separate image layer thereon and a second support substrate having separate image layer thereon. Abstract: The present invention is an oversized sheet of foldable paper having one or more punch outs for a standard sized ring binder and at least one cutout opening therein that allows the oversized paper to be secured in a standard sized ring binder when the oversized paper is folded at 90 degrees relative to the binding edge, and further allows the oversized paper to be unfolded for viewing without releasing a ring of the ring binder.

Consequently, the text and/or picture is durable. The writable or drawable surface may be the front or back exterior surface, and/or an interior surface.

Abstract: A dual flap scrapbook insert leaf for mounting in a scrapbook for preserving scrapbook displays and storing the displays in a multi-ring photo or scrapbook album. The dual flap scrapbook insert leaf consists of four polypropylene sheets laminated together and folded to form a plurality of display pockets. One of the sheets is formed and arranged to allow for the lamination of the other sheets thereupon. The scrapbook insert leaf further includes a plurality of apertures adapted to allow for connection to the multi-ring, post or strap hinge photo album.

Abstract: An optical storage media management system and process for storing and organizing a relatively large collection of optical discs in the form of a display binder with a plurality of display sheets including associated indicia matching a positional identifier indicating the location of the disc. In one embodiment, the binder is used in conjunction with a table of contents indicating the position of individual optical discs in relation to the binder contents and a centralized database for storing optical disc information in a categorized format in cooperation with a computerized table of contents generator for generating the table of contents for the binder.

Abstract: A wrap-around notebook or binder includes a ring assembly with a shield and a pair of frames forming a bistable construction, and a hinge plate pivotally coupled to the shield with the outer surface of the hinge plate aligned with the outer extent of the shield/frame assembly when the hinge plate is parallel to the plane of the shield. The exposed frame member may be convex, recessed to receive rivet heads, and may be plated. The hinge plate(s) may have curls which interfit with alternate curls from the shield to provide a hinge. The ring assembly may be mounted in the notebook or binder so that the shield side of the ring assembly faces the front cover of the binder. The pivot line between the shield and the hinge plate may be spaced from the shield by a clearance distance. The notebook or binder lies flat on an underlying surface with either the front cover of the rear cover folded under the assembly.

Abstract: A sheet protector includes a front panel and a back panel attached together to form a pocket and a margin. The pocket may have an opening extending along a top edge of the panels. The margin extends along a side of the pocket. The opening may extend a distance into the margin such that a width of the opening is greater than a width of the pocket. For example, the width of the opening may be at least about 2% greater than the width of the pocket. Alternatively, a sheet protector includes a sheet of material folded about a fold line to form the front panel and the back panel. The panels are welded together at a bottom weld line, an outer weld line located along one side, and at an inner weld line located in a spaced relationship from the outer weld line. A margin is defined between the outer and inner weld lines, and a pocket is defined between the panels and within the fold line, the bottom weld line, and the inner line, with an opening being defined along the top edges of the panels.

In another aspect, different information may be place on two or more sheets to convey a story (39) or other information. The information (72) may, for example, be used to help potty train children, or to teach children numbers or the alphabet.

Abstract: A page lifting device for use with loose-leaf binders containing binding rings. The leaves of the page lifter are formed from one or more stiff sheets of material or loops of stiff wire, rotatably affixed at their inner edges to an attaching member that is fixedly attached to the binding ring-base. The pivot axis between the leaves and attachment member is located close to the center of the substantially circular binder rings which, when the binder is closed, causes the page lifter leaves to envelope and lift the loose-leaf pages away from the binder spine. The page lifter leaves can contain slots or holes therein, which allow them to fit over the binder rings on closing.

Abstract: This invention relates to pockets for holding a single or a small batch of sheets of paper, and particularly to the construction of an enclosure which provides “direct write” storage and access for a top leaf enclosed therein, where one entry lip of the pocket is on a border of one edge of the pocket forming a “book edge” for retaining the margin side of a leaf, and dual corner tab pockets are on the opposing edge's corners for retaining one or both corners opposing the margin edge of said leaf, thereby allowing the secure entry of one or more leaves therein, allowing the encoding of the sequence position of the leaf when placed therein as to a place in either “last in first seen” or “last in last seen” position, offering secure sequential viewing along the book edge when the ends secured under the corner tabs are both free, and providing for direct writing on the surface of the top leaf when the pocket is laid face up.

Abstract: An album page for displaying articles, such as photographs, includes an intermediate, preferably opaque, sheet and a pair of outer sheets made from a transparent plastic material. Die cuts are provided in the immediate sheet at a plurality of locations, and the two outer sheets are adhered to one another at the locations defined by the die cuts. The preferred album page does not use adhesives to bond either outer sheet to the intermediate sheet, and the die cut/seal areas are arranged to permit display of rectangular objects in either horizontal or vertical positions. The invention features an arrangement, which insures that horizontally displayed objects are supported on both sides of the bottom edge thereof to enhance the overall aesthetics of the filled page.

Abstract: An album page for displaying a flat insert such as a photograph. This album page has a generally rectangular configuration and includes an insert-receiving pocket and an album securement portion. The insert-receiving pocket is formed of two sheets disposed in mutually overlying relation and includes at least one open side and at least one sealed side. The album securement portion is contiguous to one side of the pocket and includes at least one aperture, a fold line disposed between the pocket and this securement portion and at least one reinforcement area. The reinforcement area is adjacent to an aperture and is spaced apart from the fold line to define a folding area therebetween and is configured and sized for imparting flexibility to this folding area while substantially avoiding the bending of the flat insert in the pocket when folded. A photo album comprising such album pages is also disclosed.

Preferably, the pages and flanges are made of textured vinyl. A particularly desirable method for manufacturing the pages includes the steps of providing a first sheet of transparent heat-sealable material, providing a second sheet of transparent heat-sealable material, superimposing the first and second sheets, forming first and second laterally spaced pages by joining the first and second sheets to each other with heat-sealed seams, the seams of the first and second pages that are adjacent to each other being spaced to define a web therebetween.

Abstract: A notebook including a plurality of sheets, each sheet having a width, an inner edge and a tear guide line that extends generally parallel to and spaced apart from an inner edge of the sheet. The notebook further includes at least one divider pocket having a pocket having a width substantially equal to the width of the sheets. Each sheet can be torn along its tear guide line to produce a torn sheet having a width significantly less than the width of the at least one pocket such that a number of torn sheets can be received in the at least one pocket.
