  • Patent number: 6422915
Abstract: A dynamic collapsible and revolving toy includes a base with a gear seat fixedly disposed inside. A gear plate mounted on the gear seat is driven to rotate by a gearbox with a power outputting gear through engagements of a transmission gear, a reduction gear and an internal gear. There are an interior tube set and an exterior tube set disposed above the gear plate and protruded out the base. The innermost tube of the exterior tube set is connected to the innermost tube of the interior tube set and the outermost tube of the exterior tube set is mounted on the gear plate. Further a retractable strip coiled on the ring slot of the gear plate is connected to the innermost tube so that the interior tube set and the exterior tube set can rotate upon the gear plate. A plurality of collars are mounted outside the exterior tube set for hanging decorative articles. A control circuit inside the gear seat makes the gearbox capable of providing the clockwise or counter-clockwise and accelerated or decelerated rotation.

  • Patent number: 6341614
Abstract: A collapsible cane for aiding a user to walk. The collapsible cane includes an elongate member. The elongate member has a plurality of tubular members. The tubular members include a plurality of intermediate tubular members extending between a first tubular member and a second tubular member. The elongate member is telescoping. A handle means for carrying the elongate member includes a housing, which is coupled to the first tubular member. An extension system selectively secures the elongate member in an extended position. The extension system comprises a plurality of locking pins. The locking pins are adapted to selectively lock a tubular member in a fixed position with relation to an adjacent tubular member. A draw line is coupled to the locking pins and is adapted to selectively remove the locking pins and unlock a tubular member from the fixed position.

  • Patent number: 6338586
Abstract: The present invention proposes an improved locking structure of a retractable draw bar. The proposed improved locking structure comprises a first joint tube, a second joint tube, a fixed assembly, a movable assembly, two click buttons, and two resilient elements. The movable assembly is inserted in the fixed assembly and can steadily move upwards or downwards with respect to the fixed assembly. The upper and lower click buttons and the two resilient elements are axially adjacent and are installed in the fixed assembly to penetrate in the movable assembly. The upper and lower click buttons can work in opposite directions and be secured and positioned in the upper and lower click holes when the draw bar is protracted or retracted. Wedged guide grooves and wedged guide blocks are installed at corresponding positions on the movable assembly and the upper click button, respectively.

  • Patent number: 6338587
Abstract: The present invention proposes a modified locking structure of a retractable draw bar. The proposed modified locking structure comprises a fixed assembly, a movable assembly, and a click button. The movable assembly has a longitudinally long guide hole to let a guide block and a pin bar of the fixed assembly penetrate through transversely. The movable assembly can thus be joined with the fixed assembly at the bottom opening of the first joint tube and can steadily move upwards or downwards with respect to the fixed assembly. The click button matched to a resilient element is allocated in a transverse allocation tank of the fixed assembly and protrudes in the long guide hole to be secured in a click hole of a second joint tube timely. A wedged guide groove and a wedged guide block both having an upper bevel and a lower bevel are installed at corresponding positions of the movable assembly and the click button, respectively.

  • Patent number: 6334730
Abstract: A bar (25) for holding open a cover (4) hinged on the nacelle enclosing an aircraft engine (7) comprises two sections (26 and 28) of unequal length, one of which is hinged (27) on the cover (4) and the other (30) on the engine (7). The mechanism for locking or unlocking the sections (26 and 28) is controlled by a handle adjacent to the cover hinge (27). The bar can therefore be controlled by the very operator who is responsible for raising the cover (4).

  • Publication number: 20010024594
Abstract: A locking mechanism for a telescopically adjustable extension pole is disclosed. The locking mechanism includes a collar member and a locking trigger mechanism preferably comprising a bottom trigger member and a top trigger member having a locking pin therein. The top trigger member grippingly engages the collar member which is attached to the outer sleeve of the pole. By depressing the bottom trigger member, the top trigger member moves laterally outwardly retracting the locking pin from an aperture in the inner sleeve permitting the length of the extension pole to be telescopically adjusted. By releasing the bottom trigger member, the top trigger member moves laterally inwardly causing the locking pin to be received within an aperture in the inner sleeve so as to interlock the inner sleeve within the outer sleeve at the approximate desired length of the extension pole.

  • Patent number: 6179514
Abstract: A telescopic tube joint has a sleeve, which is adapted to securely coupling an outer tube and an inner tube, and defines a locking chamber therein. At least two locking rings are received in the locking chamber of the sleeve, the locking rings are forced apart by a biasing member between the locking rings and cause the locking rings to press on the outer wall of the inner tube to hold the inner tube in place with respect to the outer tube. When a user squeezes the locking rings, the inner tube will slide freely in the outer tube.
