The fixed-wing assembly is connected to the airframe to form a vertical take-off and landing fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle and the rotor assembly is connected to the airframe to form a multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle, thereby implementing an unmanned aerial vehicle that can switch between the vertical take-off and landing fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicle and the multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle.

Abstract: The embodiment is an unmanned aerial vehicle, including a body and wings. A first connection portion is disposed on one of the body and the wing. A second connection portion is disposed on the other of the body and the wing. The first connection portion and the second connection portion are detachably connected. The first connection portion is engaged with the second connection portion. The body and the wing are locked by rotating or sliding the second connection portion. The body can be conveniently assembled with or disassembled from the wing and the connection part meets the reliability of strength and rigidity and does not affect the flight performance.

Abstract: A joint for firmly interconnecting a first panel and a second panel of furniture and other furnishing items positioned perpendicular to each other is provided with at least one fixing element coupled to the first panel and includes a plurality of interconnection and blocking components for joining and firmly blocking the two panels together, wherein, in the joint, the plurality of components lie on the same plane, which is parallel and interspaced with respect to the first panel and perpendicular with respect to the second panel.

Abstract: A fire blocking system for building panels includes a fireproof block held in place between two beams or studs on opposing fastener members. The fireproof block is preferably held adjacent a slab or other structure, and is preferably of the same thickness. Thus, fire and smoke is prevented from or at least delayed from passing from one side of the structure to the other through the building panel (e.g., from passing from one floor to the next). The fire blocking system reduces the use of fire proofing materials required for building panels, while simultaneously improving the fire blocking capabilities of the building panels to meet building codes for fire resistance.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to an improved furniture connector designed to firmly attach two portions of furniture without the need for tools. The connector is designed to fit into a void within a first surface in much the same manner as a prior art cam connector. When a connector stud in a second surface is inserted into the improved furniture connector, a flexible tab accepts the stud and holds it firmly along a chamfered edge within the connector. Disassembly is then possible as the flexible tab can be released to remove the connector stud.

Abstract: A connecting structure for assembly includes a body, an inserting part, a latching part, and a control part. The body has a plug hole and a guide slot disposed toward the plug hole. The inserting part is detachably plugged into the plug hole correspondingly and has a latching portion. The latching part is slidely connected to and guided by the guide slot; the latching part has a latching body latched to the latching portion correspondingly. The control part is disposed movably in the body and selectively drives the latching part to reciprocate along the guide slot. Therefore, the esthetic effects of covering and hiding each other for assembled plates and the effect of a smooth, labor-saving, and even rotation for the control part are obtained.

The fastening element is elongate and has a head (13) at one end for engaging the tightening element, an expander (15) at the other end and a shank (11) extending there between. The fastening element further comprises a sleeve (10) having an expandable section (16) at one end extending over the expander, with the expander operatively engaging the sleeve to cause outward movement of its expandable section upon axial displacement of the fastening element relative to the sleeve. The sleeve is provided with at least one outwardly facing cutting edge (19) on its expandable section. The cutting edge has sufficient strength to cut into the panel material in use of the device, when the expandable section is inserted into a face hole in a first one of the panels.

A longitudinal slit is formed on the slider, which extends parallel to the longitudinal slit of the insertion pot and is open at an end facing away from the insertion pot transverse slit, and forms a common insertion slit together with the insertion pot longitudinal slit in a center position of the slider. The slider is lockable with the insertion pot in the center position and/or in end positions transversely shifted to both sides of the center position.

An oil flow generated by movement of the piston is controlled by a damping force generation mechanism, thereby generating a damping force. A separator tube is disposed around the cylinder, and the oil is transmitted to the damping force generation mechanism through a branch tube integrally formed on a cylindrical sidewall of the separator tube. The branch tube is tapered at the outer circumferential portion thereof with the outer diameter thereof reducing toward the distal end of the branch tube.

Abstract: A column/beam interconnection employing angular connectors which wrap complementarily around an outside corner in a column. Each connector includes, on each of two, next-adjacent column faces, a cantilever-projecting deflectable tab which is nominally spaced from another, confronting tab that belongs to a next-adjacent connector. These confronting, spaced tabs freely receive between them the end of the central web in an I-beam, and when clamplingly secured to such a web, deflect under spring resistance to introduce useful compressive forces through the associated connectors into the associated column. The proposed connector arrangement allows, with respect to the placement of a beam for connection to and between a pair of next adjacent columns, for the vertical shifting of the beam into proper place for connection of its central web to and between pairs of spaced tabs, without any need for any lateral shifting of the columns to allow for insertion of the beam between the columns.

Abstract: A joint assembly for joining first and second tubular members. The first member has flanges extending from walls of an end segment. The walls of the end segment define a receiving opening. The second member has walls and a protrusion having sides extending from the walls to an end of the protrusion. When the members are joined the protrusion is received in the opening of the end segment so that the sides of the protrusion are in facing engagement with the walls of the end segment and the flanges engage the walls of the second member. The members are secured together at some of the engaging surfaces. The protrusion reduces stress on the flanges and increases the mechanical strength of the assembly.

The hook elements can be easily connected to one another even when not aligned but rotated relative to one another.

A fastener is also provided that may be used to connect the body portion to the first object. By placing the extending member in the aperture on the second object, and by using the fastener to join the connector to the first object, the connector acts to connect the first and second objects together. The distal end of the extending member may be rotated in a direction towards the first object to provide a tighter join.

Abstract: A mortise and tenon joint for I-beam members. The joint includes an I-beam post and an I-beam beam that interlocks with the I-beam post. The I-beam post and the I-beam beam are each made of fiber reinforced pultruded polymer composite. The web of the I-beam post extends past the flanges of the I-beam post so as to form a tenon. The flanges of the I-beam beam have a pair of aligned throughslots so as to form a mortise that snugly receives, and is filled by, the tenon. The tenon has a plurality of throughbores through the pair of opposing faces thereof. The web of the I-beam beam has a plurality of throughbores that are aligned with the plurality of throughbores in the tenon when the tenon is snugly received in the mortise. Bolts extend through first washers, through the plurality of throughbores in the web of the I-beam beam, through the plurality of throughbores in the tenon, through second washers, and threadably engage in nuts so as to maintain the tenon in the mortise.

Abstract: A modular decking system particularly adapted for use with docks in tidal coastal environments is presented. The system provides removable modular decking sections that allow the user to remove the decking prior to a large storm, preventing destruction of the dock by the hydraulic forces of violently rising water. Alternatively, the system may be used in a residential or commercial situation allowing the user to install decking over an area that typically requires access, such as over a flat roof or over areas containing buried services such as cables or piping. The system comprises a number of decking sections that are used with a conventional joist system. Each section includes a plurality of planks that are joined together in parallel to rails that hold the planks together during transportation, installation and removal of the decking sections. A joist cap is provided over each supporting joist, and clamping mechanisms are provided to secure the decking sections to the joist system.

Abstract: The invention relates to a novel furniture frame system comprising horizontal and vertical frame members which can be arranged in a variety of configurations to provide at least one continuous concealed channel for cables such as power and/or signal cables, in which the channel is easily accessible for wiring, maintenance, rearrangement and storage of cable without disassembly of the frame system and provides for access to cable outlets at work surface height so that cable devices can be connected to an outlet with minimal interference to the work surface. The frame system itself does not interfere with the work surface. The horizontal frame member has an opening on the top surface which is at work surface height for access to the cable channel, and also has a cover for the opening which has at least one flexible edge to enable cables to pass in and out of the channel when the cover is closed and permits the cable to move freely along the length of the cover.

The fastener assembly includes a tightening fastener rotatably positioned within the drawer body, a fastening rod extending between the drawer front and the drawer body, and a base housing mounted within the drawer body. The fastening rod includes a head portion at one end detachably connected to the tightening fastener and a substantially T-shaped tail portion at an opposite end for attaching the fastening rod to the base housing. Abstract: A connecting fitting releasably connects two platelike furniture members. The connecting fitting comprises two connecting member which are adapted to be secured to respective ones of the furniture members. A first connecting member is pin-like and has a head and a shank, and the second connecting member is in the form of a casing with a cylindrical shell. A spring loaded locking member is situated within the casing. The casing has an opening in its cylindrical shell through which the head of the first connecting member is insertable. The locking member is adapted for releasably engaging the head of the pin-like connecting member when in the inserted position. A latch is situated in the casing to obstruct movement of the locking member biased by the spring. The latch is provided with a resilient abutment lever which the pin-like member strikes when it is inserted into the casing and by means of which the pin-like member moves the latch.

Abstract: A connecting fitting for releasably connecting two platelike furniture members includes two connecting members which are adapted to be secured to respective of the furniture members. A first connecting member is in the form of a casing with a cylindrical shell in which is positioned a spring loaded rotary wedge. The casing has an opening in its cylindrical shell through which the head of the pin-like connecting member is insertable into the casing. The rotary wedge releasably engages the underside of the head of the pin-like connecting member when in the inserted position. A tightening element is provided in the casing and is acted upon by a spring whereby rotation of the tightening element will result in rotation of the rotary wedge and vice versa.

Abstract: A connecting fitting or brace for fixing a rail of a drawer to a rear wall of the drawer includes a plate-like supporting component constructed on or to be fixed to the rear wall. A rear end of the rail is connected to a fixing component. The supporting component has an open slot in which the fixing component can be hung. The fixing component has a sprung hook which snaps in behind an edge of the supporting component.

Abstract: Connecting hardware for furniture parts, particularly of panel-shaped components of easily disassembled furniture. The connecting hardware includes a bolt which protrudes from one furniture part and can be introduced into a recess in the second furniture part. The bolt is held in a connecting position by a tensioning element provided in the recess and which engages the free end of the bolt, the bolt being held in a fastening bushing inserted in the first furniture part. The end section of the bolt is offset eccentrically to the center axis of the bolt and is disposed rotatably in an associated accommodating opening of the fastening bushing. The accommodating opening for holding the end section in turn is offset by the same amount eccentrically to the external diameter of the fastening bushing. The eccentricity of the end section and of the associated accommodating opening is selected so that the accommodating opening extends to the outside with formation of a slot-like opening in the fastening bushing.

Abstract: A plastic chassis is provided in which a shaft is fixed to the chassis even if a snap fitting integrally formed with the chassis is broken. An arm member having a claw portion is formed around a through hole formed in the chassis. A protrusion having a top surface located a predetermined distance lower than a top surface of the arm member is formed around the through hole. When the shaft is inserted into the through hole, the claw portion engages with an annular groove formed near the end of the shaft so as to fix the shaft to the chassis. When the arm member is broken, a slit washer is engaged with the annular groove so as to fix the shaft to the chassis. The slit washer is disposed on the top surface of the protrusion.

Abstract: A self-locking mounting bolt system for use in mounting shelf boards to side walls of a type employed in furniture. The mounting bolt system includes a plurality of bolts fixedly attached to the side walls, each bolt having a frusto-conical head. The shelf board has formed in each end portion thereof complementary recesses adapted to receive the bolts therein. A larger diameter portion of the bolt head is disposed further away from the side wall than a small diameter portion of the head so that dovetailing of the bolt head and the recess provides the ridigized right angle interconnection of the shelf board and the side walls. Another plate member of equal width to the shelf board may be placed coextensively thereon to clamp the head of the bolts therebetween by means of fasteners.

Abstract: A joint assembly for an arched building structure comprises a non-corrugated flat plate member and at least one corrugated plate member connected to and extending outwardly of the non-corrugated plate member. The corrugated plate member has proximal and distal ends with corrugations extending therebetween and the proximal end abuts the non-corrugated plate member. The corrugations extend in side-by-side relation in a straight line with the line extending in the lengthwise direction of the non-corrugated plate member. The corrugations may have a trapezoidal cross section though corrugations having other shapes may be used.

Features are incorporated in the fastening element which improve the quality of the joint which can be achieved between two panels. These include forming helically extending ribs on the leading end of the fastening element which enable it to be pushed into a bore in a member to be fastened, while turning it through a small angle to provide some resistance to axial forces tending to pull the fastening element out. Abstract: A wood connection is concerned with at least two wooden members glued together, having a distance piece fitted therebetween. The distance piece covers only a relatively small part of the area of abutment between the two (or more) wooden members, the remainder of the area of abutment being filled with permanently elastic glue. The mutual positioning of the wooden members is achieved with dowels and receiving holes therefor.

Abstract: An assembling device for releasably fixedly securing first and second plate-like members together includes a main case mounted on the first member and having an opening for receiving therein a hook member fixed to and projecting from the second plate-like member. A rotary body is rotatably disposed in the main case and includes structure defining a cylindrical inner surface which faces and is eccentric with a rotary shaft, the cylindrical inner surface being engageable with the hook member. A retaining mechanism is provided which yieldably retains the rotary body rotationally fast with the main case at a predetermined rotational position. Rotation of the rotary body causes relative reciprocal motion between the hook member and the main case such that the hook member reaches a desired position relative to the main case, whereby the first and second members are releasably fixedly secured to each other.

Abstract: A joining device for joining panels at right angles to each other comprises an element having a head and a shank secured into one of the panels with the head and part of the shank projecting from an edge thereof. A plug-like body portion or holding member is fitted in a recess in a major surface of the other panel. The plug-like member has an end face exposed to the major panel surface with an opening extending axially therein from the end face to receive and surround the head. An inward projection is located within the opening. A securing member is located within the body portion adjacent the opening, and includes a shoulder-forming portion positioned within the body portion to form a shoulder on the other side of the opening relative to the projection. The distance between the shoulder-forming portion and the projection is less than the diameter of the head.
