Abstract: A joint assembly for forming a two part radiation therapy treatment table is disclosed. The treatment table includes a patient support panel to which one portion of the joint assembly is secured, and a table extension panel to which another portion of the joint assembly is secured. The joint assembly self-aligns, self levels, is immediately stable, and locks automatically by its weight and downward pressure. The joint assembly also includes an automatic failsafe secondary lock that resists joint release if upward forces are applied. Disengaging the secondary lock requires and results in no displacement of the two panels. Upon separation of the two panels the lock resets automatically.

Abstract: The present application provides a battery pack locking device, comprising a button, a snap element for engaging the battery pack with an electrical appliance, a linkage controlled by the button, a spring provided below the button and a support. The snap element is hinged to the support at one end and the first end of the linkage is disposed below the button. When the button is pressed down, the first end moves down and the second end of the linkage moves upwardly relative to the first end. Also, the snap connecting portion moves downwardly in a curved path without squeezing the snap groove of the electrical appliance, resulting in decreased friction between the parts and a reduced force necessary to press down the button. Accordingly, the battery pack can be easily mounted to and removed from an electrical appliance.

Abstract: A retention clamp includes a shaft having a stop member and a first threaded portion, the first threaded portion including a left hand thread. A clamping member is threadably connected to the first threaded portion. A biasing member positioned between the stop member and the clamping member transfers a rotational force applied to the shaft to the clamping member to rotate the clamping member into an engagement position. An indexing member can be slidably received over the first threaded portion and positioned between the stop member and the clamping member. The indexing member is frictionally engageable with the clamping member so indexing member rotation rotates the clamping member. Both the indexing member and the clamping member can include meshable ratchet teeth to assist clamping member rotation. Legs extending transversely from the biasing member can positively engage the stop portion and the indexing member.

Abstract: The device includes first and second elements which are intended to be rigidly connected each to a respective length of an elongated mechanical transmission member, such as a push-pull cable, a rod or a bar, and are slidably arranged relative to each other in the axial direction of the transmission member. A locking member is radially movable between a locking position, in which it drivingly connects the two elements for translation with each other, and a unlocking position, in which it disconnects the two elements from each other, thereby making them free to translate relative to each other. A cam member is free to translate axially relative to the first and second elements and has at least one cam surface which cooperates with the respective locking member so as to keep this latter in the locking position up to the predetermined travel value and to move it into the unlocking position in case of travel values higher than the predetermined travel value.

A slide rod is mounted in the slide passage and slidable along the slide passage. An engaging column is mounted in a through hole of the main body. A contact face is formed at a bottom end of the engaging column in contact with a slope of one end of the slide rod.
