The screw 43 is thus rotated so that the washer 46 is threaded along the threaded stem 45 towards the body 41, thus compressing the resiliently deformable member 413 so that the resiliently deformable member 413 bulges outwardly and thus establishes a friction grip on the inner surface of the tube, thus securing the connector in relation to the tube.

The bolt end having the smaller pitch is threaded through the nut and as the bolt is rotated, the nut is thus caused to move axially into a forced contact with the lower end of the hollow area accompanied by a drawing together of the two machine parts.

    Abstract: Foamed-in-place metal skin covered insulating panels for the walls of walk-in coolers, freezers and refrigerated warehouses having a fastening bar assembly encapsulated therein. The fastening bar assembly possesses opposite end male and female fastening means for positive and rigid coupling with like threaded means of adjacent wall panels. The male fastening means includes a lag screw and a unique retaining means for the screw which positions it for use while protecting it from contact with the foamed insulation during fabrication of the panel with the fastening bar assembly in place between jig fixtures. The less efficient, weaker and more costly cam locking means of the prior art is eliminated.

    Abstract: The extension of the handle-bar stem is provided with a transverse aperture forming a collar for receiving and supporting the handle-bar. A clamping lug which extends from the collar toward the vertical arm of the stem has an upper face which defines with a lower face of the extension a slot splitting the collar. The lug and the extension are provided with apertures for the passage of a clamping device.The extension also has an axial cavity which is extended by an opening formed in the collar. The clamping device has one end hidden in the cavity and an opposite end hidden within the thickness of the clamping lug.
