The gutter insert includes a substantially horizontal bottom wall which includes an arcuate back periphery, and an inner peripheral edge and an upstanding back wall rigidly connected to the horizontal bottom surface at the arcuate back periphery of the horizontal bottom wall, wherein the upstanding back wall together with the horizontal bottom wall define a first and a second transverse edge, which include a first and second upstanding edge respectively. The horizontal bottom wall is configured to lie adjacent to a base of the corner section of an eaves trough and extends between the inner sidewall and an outer sidewall of corner section of an eaves trough at the first and second transverse edges.

    Abstract: An apparatus and method for lining ditches is provided. The apparatus and method for lining ditches, according to the present invention, includes a plurality of substantially corrugated liner sections, preferably made of a thermoplastic material such as polyethylene. Each liner section is designed to be assembled by detachably engaging ends of ditch liner sections. A sealant that does not bond with the material from which the liner sections are made may also be included. An inlet/outlet channel is included. The inlet/outlet channel is removably connectable with at least one end of a liner section by snapping together the two components. A liner section in the form of a splitter section also is provided. A splitter section permits rerouting the flow of water in a variety of directions through a ditch lined with the apparatus of the present invention. Also, a diverter section is included for diverting water from one flow direction through the ditch to a point or area of application of water.

The flumes are made in a set and in one set the flumes are formed of a pipe segment which either is integrally connected to an open channel segment or connected thereto with suitable fasteners and with the overall length of the flume being substantially less than the distance between the inlet and an outlet of the manhole. Another set of flumes has only open channel segments which are generally substantially smaller in length than the flumes which have both a pipe and an open channel segment. The open channel segments are provided with end flanges to enable their connection to similarly shaped channel segments to form inverts.

Integral outwardly struck downwardly tapering lock lugs are formed on the four side walls of the outlet tube closely beneath the flat flange for secure locking engagement beneath the gutter flat bottom wall when the outlet tube is inserted downwardly through the opening of this wall. The outlet tube is sealed with the gutter flat bottom wall around its support flange.
