Uniform Discharge Patents (Class 405/89)
  • Patent number: 11110377
Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a buoyancy apparatus that includes a hollow housing integrally formed below a board. The hollow housing supports the board while the buoyancy apparatus is placed in a liquid. The board is a relatively flat and light weight surface that can be easily retrofitted to different housings. The buoyancy apparatus further includes a connector at a first end of the hollow housing for attaching a filter and at least one orifice at a second end for receiving and securing the filter. The kit may also include the filter for preventing at least one impurity from entering the hose.

  • Publication number: 20080101867
Abstract: A water diversion system includes a hydraulic chute and a chute screen assembly in the hydraulic chute having a wedge wire screen. The water diversion system also includes at least one collection chamber located below the screen configured to collect filtered diversion water which has passed through the screen. The hydraulic chute includes a base, a crest, a sloped accelerator, and an abrupt drop with an adjustable lip, which forms a hydraulic formation in a downstream pool. The hydraulic chute can also include sloped sidewalls, which constrict the flow of water and form fish passage zones. In addition, the chute screen assembly can include a modular panel configured to facilitate construction, maintenance and replacement of the wedge wire screen.

  • Patent number: 4549837
Abstract: An improved penstock for water-flow control provides the capability of establishing a constant water level within a levee or a dike and is continuously adjustable between a high and a low water level. The penstock has an erosion-resistant flow channel which is embedded and buried in an earthen levee dike or dam which has leakage prevention and seepage prevention protrusions extending around its outer periphery. In the throat of the flow channel is a pivoted, sealed level-control gate which can be adjusted and latched at any position from a horizontally flat position, permitting unrestricted flow through the channel, to a vertical position, blocking off flow through the channel. This pivoting gate is provided with edge seals to prevent the leakage of water. Once adjusted, the gate will maintain a constant water depth within the body of water enclosed by the levee while passing overflow over the gate.

  • Patent number: 4224156
Abstract: An apparatus for controlling the liquid level of overflow ponds and the like. It comprises a vertical standpipe having a polymer feed inlet near its bottom, a valve for controlling flow of polymer to the polymer feed inlet, at least 1 fluid discharge inlet near the bottom of the vertical standpipe. A flexible hose connects the fluid discharge inlet to a corresponding opening located in a horizontal plate which is adapted to ride up and down on the standpipe. The horizontal plate is fitted with a float, filter and a valve shut off plunger.
