    Abstract: The self feeding drill bit comprises a shank that has one end adapted to be connected to a chuck of a rotary tool. A screw tip may be provided for feeding the bit into and through the wood. A plurality of cutting blades is provided for boring the interior of the hole.     Abstract: A cutting tool including a body, a blade, a feed shaft, and a locking member. The body defines an axis and is adapted to be received by a spindle of a power tool. The blade is removably supportable on the body and rotatable about the axis for cutting a workpiece. A feed shaft is removably supportable in the body and rotatable about the axis for engaging a workpiece, the feed shaft being mountable in the cutting tool to engage and at least partially restrain the blade. The feed shaft further includes an opening transverse to the axis. The locking member is engageable with the body and with the opening in the feed shaft. Advancement of the locking member into the opening tightens both the blade and the feed shaft to the body.

    Abstract: An aftermarket retrofit kit is used to prepare control arm bosses of automotive suspension systems to receive new, replacement ball joints. The kit includes a special cutting tool for forming obtuse threads in the apertures of aluminum suspension system mounting bosses for replacement of spent or used steel ball joints originally pressed-fit into forged aluminum control and steering arms. Since unthreaded apertures of bosses of control and steering arm joints in which the original pressed fitted equipment ball joints may be threaded to receive the new joints, avoidance of having to replace expensive original control and steering arms is made possible by the reuse of such arm parts normally discarded. A separate alignment block is included to assure accurate piloting of the cutting tool. Threading of the control arm bosses can be done on or off of the vehicle, and separate kits are provided for upper and lower control arms.

    Abstract: The invention is a method and apparatus for embedding an implant of a special design in bone tissue in a way that encourages bone tissue growth in and around the implant thereby achieving greater attachment security over longer periods of time. The user employs a bone-fragment collecting drill to form the bone-tissue hole and deliver the resulting bone fragments to a collecting region. The user crumbles the bone fragments by placing them in the lower of two mating spoon-shaped jaws of a pliers-like device and repeatedly opening and closing the jaws until the bone fragments are crumbled. The surface of the implant is equipped with screw threads, one or more embedded helical channels, and through-holes to permit bone growth into the implant. The installation of the implant consists of partially filling the bone-tissue hole with bone crumbs, packing the helical channels and through-holes with bone crumbs, and screwing the implant into the bone-tissue hole.

    Abstract: A hole cutting apparatus for use with a conventional drill and chuck. The apparatus features a self feed pilot bit and quick change drill bits which store on the apparatus. Hollow drill bits are provided which fit over a pilot bit and are fastened to the apparatus with a quick release pin. The pilot bit centers on the hole to be cut and the drill bit is used to cut a circular perimeter slot until through the workpiece. The apparatus fits in the chuck of a standard drill. The apparatus requires a relatively low torque from the drill motor to drill a large size hole when compared to conventional drilling systems.

    Abstract: A device for obtaining a sample from a volume of hay. The device is provided with a hollow tube member having an intake end and a discharge end. The interior diameter of the hollow tube is at a minimum at the intake end. The intake end is also provided with a resharpenable and serrated cutting edge positioned about the perimeter of the intake end of the hollow tube. A spiral ridge is provided on the exterior of the hollow tube member in proximity to the intake end. In use, the intake end of the hollow tube is inserted into a volume of hay, such as a bale, roll, or stack, and the hollow tube is rotated. The spiral threads engage the volume of hay and the user of the device may selectively rotate the hollow tube such that it is drawn into the hay or withdrawn from the hay. The hay cores which are gathered into the hollow tube are collected in a collection container attached to the hollow tube member.
