Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing parallel muxing between servers in a cluster. One such system can include a cluster of one or more high performance computing systems, each including one or more processors and a high performance memory. The cluster communicates over an InfiniBand network. The system can also include a middleware environment, executing on the cluster, that includes one or more application server instances. The system can further include a plurality of muxers, wherein each application server instance includes at least one muxer. Each muxer can receive information from a plurality of threads to transmit to a different muxer on a different application server instance over the Infiniband network using a plurality of parallel channels.
Abstract: A system, method, and computer program product for providing discovery services for servers during a startup sequence can include powering on a server in a domain; creating a listener socket for the server to accept coupling requests from other servers; registering server information for the server with a database; searching the database for other registered servers in the domain; establishing a couple to each of the other registered servers in the domain; and verifying validity of the couple to each of the other registered servers including performing a handshake. The server information registered with the database can include an IP address; a listener port; a domain; a version number; or a server type.

Abstract: An indexing device and method is provided to selectively orient work pieces at predetermined angular positions and hold the work pieces at those positions. The indexing device has a rotary member rotatably coupled to a support and a trigger pivotally coupled to the support. The rotary member holds a fixture and has a plurality of index pins extending from the rotary member at equally spaced about the axis of rotation. The trigger operates a stop assembly to engage holes in the rotary member to position the working holding fixture at the desired position. The indexing device is constructed such that the trigger and one of the index pins can be simultaneously contacted by a control member. The trigger includes an elongated contact surface along which the control member translates to contact the index pins and rotate the rotary member.
Abstract: The invention relates to an index fixture system comprising a casting mounting, an indexing fixture which provides rotative positioning of a work held within a collet holder spindle. A worm gear and worm affixed to a synchronous stepping motor, giving a total of 28,800 index positions, controls the indexing fixture, the motor being controlled by a computer program containing a pre-computed list of motor step times.
