Abstract: A single-point rifling tool including a rifling head with a lateral opening, a hook ramp stationarily secured at a first end of the lateral opening, and a cutting tool movably secured at a second end of the lateral opening. The cutting tool is movable along an angled surface of the hook ramp between a retracted position and a cutting position so as to perform a rifling operation in only a single direction through a gun barrel so as to perform a rifling operation in only a single direction through a gun barrel.
Abstract: Device for perforating an acoustic annular panel for a turbine engine, wherein it includes a perforation needle support ring, the ring having an axis A of revolution and being intended to be inserted substantially coaxially inside the panel, the ring being sectored and including ring sectors regularly distributed around the axis and each one radially mobile opposite the axis from a radially inner rest position up to a perforation position of the radially outer panel, and at least one rotating actuator of rotation axis A and mechanically connected to the ring sectors such that a rotation of the actuator leads to a radial movement of the ring sectors.

Abstract: A tool for creating grooves or cut-away portions in the inwardly extending corrugations of a flexible corrugated hose in order to eliminate noises created by movements of fluids, such as air, through the interior passage of the hose. The tool is a generally cylindrical member having outwardly extending fins extending at an angle to the longitudinal direction thereof. The tool is placed within the hose and relative movement in an axial or longitudinal direction causes the fins to act as cutting members and create the grooves or cut portions. The movement causes the fins to create an angled pattern of grooves relative to the axial direction.
Abstract: A method for broaching a gain twist rifling in a gun barrel comprises cutg the initial tracking groove in the gun barrel, and thereafter passing a plurality of freely rotatable cutter assemblies disposed in spaced apart communication with each other, so that the cutters projecting from each cutter assembly pass sequentially through and may freely rotate within the tracking groove to successively increase and refine the diameter to form the final rifling grooves. The apparatus comprises a plurality of cutter assemblies mounted in spaced apart position along a support and drive shaft. The cutter assemblies define radially extending cutters, and are arranged in the order of increasing radial extension of the cutters, so that the radialmost extending cutter assembly makes the final pass through the tracking groove to complete the broaching operation.
