Patent number: 11745950Abstract: A combine feeder slat having a first base, a second base, and a slat body. The bases are located at respective ends of the slat, and have respective upper and lower surfaces. The slat body extends longitudinally and connects the bases. The slat body has a variable profile as viewed along the longitudinal direction, that transitions from a first profile shape at the first base, to an intermediate profile shape between the first base and the second base, to a second profile shape at the second base. The intermediate profile shape includes a front lip, a rear lip, and an upward-facing concave projection that connects the front lip to the rear lip and extends below an attachment plane defined between the first lower surface and the second lower surface. The first base, second base, and slat body are made from a unitary metal part.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2022Date of Patent: September 5, 2023Assignee: CNH Industrial America LLCInventors: Nathan E. Patent number: 7600954Abstract: A load securing device (20) for a pick-up truck (100) cargo bed (102) having at least one sidewall (104), the at least one sidewall including a cap portion (106) having a top portion (110) and a vertical portion (112) is provided. The load securing device generally includes a tubular member (22) having a first surface (30) and a second surface (32), the tubular member being adapted to be coupled to the cap portion in a manner that positions the first surface of the tubular member adjacent one of either the top portion or the vertical portion of the cap portion. When coupled to the cap portion, the tubular member is substantially visually obscured by the cap portion. The load securing device further includes at least one attachment member (24) extending from the second surface of the tubular member to provide a tie-down anchor.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2006Date of Patent: October 13, 2009Inventor: Dan Marcott

Patent number: 6709209Abstract: A railcar load securement apparatus uses an array of load securement anchors having bases adapted for strength and efficiency in mounting in a rail car, a plurality of vertical support members extending upwardly from a mounting base or bracket with a flush mounted anchor plate joining them, so that a plurality of tensioning members or straps can be readily mounted to retain cargo, but the anchor is flush to be unobstructive when unused. Flexibility in load adaptation is provided for in that a number of different load capture arrangements can be utilized.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2002Date of Patent: March 23, 2004Assignee: Holland CompanyInventors: Mark Y. Patent number: 6585466Abstract: A railcar load securement apparatus uses an array of load securement anchors having bases adapted for strength and efficiency in mounting in a rail car, a plurality of vertical support members extending upwardly from a mounting base or bracket with a flush mounted anchor plate joining them, so that a plurality of tensioning members or straps can be readily mounted to retain cargo, but the anchor is flush to be unobstructive when unused. The alternative embodiment anchor is particularly adapted to installation with a new-floor, being a tube mounted anchor providing a strong, economical mounting where vertical clearance, and particularly angle, adjustment is not needed. Flexibility in load adaptation is provided for in that a number of different load capture arrangements can be utilized.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2001Date of Patent: July 1, 2003Assignee: Holland CompanyInventors: Mark Y. Patent number: 6481941Abstract: A lading tie anchor for use in a railway boxcar having an interior metal lining, the lining having an aperture or indentation formed therein for receipt of the anchor, with the anchor comprising a one-piece body adapted to be received or seated in the opening or indentation in the metal lining. The anchor has at least two opposed edge portions that define a central opening, with the edge portions engaging the metal lining. A continuous, vertically-orientated anchoring post spans the central opening, the post including an aperture or drain hole in its lower portion to facilitate the transportation of liquid from the anchor into the aperture or indentation in the metal lining.Type: GrantFiled: January 12, 2001Date of Patent: November 19, 2002Assignee: Ireco, LLCInventors: Rudolph E. Patent number: 6402446Abstract: A lading tie anchor system for railway box cars which uses lading ties comprising straps of woven webbing with a hook on one end in place of lading ties in the form of one-time useable steel strapping. The new system makes use of the lading tie anchors already installed in many box cars as well as those installed in newly built box cars. In addition to the novel lading ties a slack take-up and tension buckle is used to join the otherwise free or unanchored ends of each pair of lading ties. Preferably the buckles have a handle-crankable ratchet on one end to which the unanchored end of one of the installed ties is adjustably attached while the unanchored end of the other lading tie is threaded over a pair of take-up rollers mounted on the opposite end of the buckle in such a way that this second lading tie can be manually drawn taut. Thereafter the ratchet is operated to remove any remaining slack in the lading ties and then apply the desired tension thereon.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 1999Date of Patent: June 11, 2002Assignee: Ireco, Inc.Inventors: Rudolph E.
