Abstract: The object of this invention is to provide an automatic container locking apparatus for trailers. This locking apparatus is automatically operable in response to the weight of a container to lock or unlock the container on the deck of a trailer. This locking apparatus has a housing (10) vertically set in the deck (1), with a spring-biased actuator (20) movably set within the housing (10). A spring-biased locking bolt (30) having a top head (31) is movably set within the actuator (20). Abstract: The danger of a page punt error in a color image printing device and the memory requirements of the printing device can be simultaneously minimized by a system in which image data is downloaded to the printing device one color plane at a time. The image data is then provided from the printer's formatter to the print engine, and the printing of any particular color plane is not commenced, only when all the data for that particular color plane is received and buffered in the formatter. In this way, the printer need not wait until all the data for the entire image, i.e., all four color planes, are received and buffered before commencing printing. Moreover, the printer need not include sufficient memory to store all the data for the entire color image at once. Rather, memory need only be provided sufficient to store or buffer a single color plane of the image at any given time.

  • Patent number: 4249840
Abstract: A lashing rod for lashing vertically stacked containers. The containers have hollow corner castings and the lashing rod has a head comprising a stud adapted for passage through a side access opening of the casting. The locking head is securable to the casting by rotating the head about a pivotal axis so that the stud engages an inner wall of the casting. A fitting, having a locking pin receiving bore, partially extends into a corner casting and is adapted for interconnecting two abutting stacked containers. The locking head has a locking pin adapted for insertion into the bore upon passage of the stud into the side access opening so that the locking head is rotatable for securing the locking head to the casting while the pin is inserted in the bore.
