Recessed Or Toothed Member Receiving Movable Pawl Carried By Bolt Head Or Nut Patents (Class 411/114)
  • Patent number: 11499586
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an anti-loosing bolt component capable of presetting torque and controlling disassembly, including: a nut, a bolt and a tab washer that match each other. The nut is provided with a ratchet structure, the bolt is provided with an axial groove, and the tab washer is provided with a elastic pawl matched with the ratchet structure, and a horizontal protrusion provided with a prefabricated notch and matched with the axial groove. The ratchet structure adopts a matching mode that the difference between the number of ratchets and the number of the elastic pawls is 1, so that the nut can be engaged by a very small rotation angle. The preset torque of the prefabricated notch can be set according to a safety factor. The bolt component can be accurately prevented from loosening.

Abstract: A shipping strap assembly protects the isolator mechanism of a vibratory screening machine against exceeding its elastic limits. The isolator mechanism is pivotally connected between shafts on the machine frame and the machine basket. The protective assembly includes a distally narrowing boss on at least one of the shafts. A rigid strap has two apertures, one contoured to receive and ride on the boss and the other contoured to receive the other shaft, spaced to maintain the distance between the shaft axes within an elastic limit of the isolator mechanism. The narrowing boss provides leeway for easy manual alignment of the mechanism shafts with the strap apertures, and the narrowing boss and contour of the other aperture facilitate restoration toward its normal load length, of an elastically distorted mechanism.

  • Patent number: 9752611
Abstract: A fastener and associated lock washer having an integral anti-rotation mechanism. The head of the fastener includes a plurality of saw teeth—arranged in a radial array. A lock washer is configured to interact with the head of the fastener. The lock washer includes one or more spring tabs positioned to bear against the radial array of saw teeth. As the fastener is rotated in a first direction, the saw teeth depress and pass over the spring tab(s). However, if the user attempts to rotate the fastener in the opposite direction, the spring tab snaps up into the saw teeth and arrests the motion—in the manner of a ratchet and pawl mechanism. The invention preferably includes a second means for selectively defeating the anti-rotation mechanism.

Abstract: The locking nut and bolt system utilizes a bolt with thread having a plurality of notches generally longitudinally spaced in a predetermined pattern. Each notch has a lock face and an opposing slope. The locking unit carries one or more tines. The tine has a distal tine end adapted to latch onto the lock face of the notch on the bolt and, when the distal tine end is not disposed in one or more notches, the tine end moves on the bolt thread crest.
